Cimara nodded "Yes it can be hard at times, it is never pleasant to see a student struggle. Since you are graduated I take that to mean you passed your classes with relative ease??" Cimara asked curious "What subject do you favor??" he asked curiously. Then he turned his attention to the plushies, once again "That is very sweet of you, not to wish to hurt their feelings." Cim took another drink of his coco and then looked back down to read another page of the alchemy book he had been reading.

Gwen looked over the girl "I want to know why you look different from the others at school I have meet, I will not be mean to you, or take away your treasures. I will not tattle, even if you decline my offer. I won't be that cruel, since you have inspired me to focus on a subject that I feel will become my thesis for junior year!!" Gwen said excitedly. "I'll even help your familiar guard your treasures if you like" Gwen said grinning. Then Gwen took out a note book and started writing notes, about the girl's hair and eyes. Gwen need to find a bunch of geists and other different looking ones and write more notes. Chart the variations and then when she was older she could figure out why!!
Gly smiled, she felt like being friends with Dodger would mean far more to her, then if he had been single and they had gotten together like that. Though she had to admit that his girlfriend was a lucky girl, he was fun to be around. "No problem, besides for all I know you have some annoying habit that drives your girlfriend up a wall." She teased. Gly laughed when Dodger teased her, "It's not my fault your clearly better at this game than me" Glykeria looked at the book and then looked at the other books, Gly shook her head. "No I picked up Malice in wonderland to read the other day." She then picked up a copy of the same book, so she could read it as well. "But I will now" she said in a friendly tone.
Passing by another cart, Isabelle caught the eye of a pushy librarian, one that managed to get her to take a book about dark alchemy. Was that even a book that should be given out during the festival? Isabelle eyed it warily before stuffing it into her stocking. Once again it was starting to bulge. Sighing, Isabelle eyed the other festival goers. Plenty of daydreams mingled with nightmares, and she didn’t catch sight of any who were free. Maybe this was just a bust and she should try and track one down in the halls or something.

When the dust had finally settled between the two familiars, they had claimed dual ownership of him. To all appearances perfectly calm, they had nested in his hair, chittering at anyone who got too close to him. Cyril was just glad they were no longer scratching and biting. His face tingled unpleasantly and he had the sneaking suspicion that it was going to be very painful to try and wash up later.
With a resigned sigh, he accepted some candy canes from one of the nightmares circulating to hand them out. Now that there was a calm lull, he thought to look around for Bibiana. She should have been around here . . . somewhere? Unaware she was close by, he wandered farther away.

After thanking the older nightmare who’d taken Kanda under their wing, Vüsala managed to get Kanda to want to play more of the games rather than sit and chat. It was getting pretty late, so they would have to leave soon, but she was still good to play two or three more games before he insisted.
A bean bag game was nearby and the chimera lead them over to play that. Kanda made him go first, insisting that he show her. Chuckling, he scooped up the three bean bags. Careful to keep his mouth towards her, he showed her what to do. Just try and get the bags into the box, bonus points if it got into the inner circle. For his example, he won them a bag of mystery flavor candyfloss. With a smile, he compared it to her hair, his smile widening when she giggled at that.

The bean bag game Vüsala lead them too was something Kanda was pretty sure she’d played before, but she was totally willing to play again if that meant he wouldn’t notice the peppermint patterned flitterrat in her pocket. She insisted he go first so she could adjust the small critter in her pocket, clapping when he won some candyfloss. Mystery flavor was always her favorite to try.
For her turn, Kanda managed to win a pretty yellow bracelet. With the two already on her wrist though, she put it into her stocking, which her father had taken over carrying for her. Now it was much easier to keep one hand in her pocket to distract the small rat from coming out.

Since the teacher hadn’t called him out, or he’d done a good job of ignoring it, Ares slipped through the crowd towards one of the food stalls. Some peanut brittle sounded right about now. He thought he’d even spotted a couple nightmares, and daydreams, sporting steaming mugs. Some festive treats and maybe some cocoa and he’d be good to start up with the cannons again.

Another great thing about Solstice fesitvals: peppermint and spearmint candies. As soon as the Baphomet had caught sight of bags of them for sale, she’d trotted right over to snag some. At the rate she was going, Jeanine would have oodles of candy to munch on as she worked on her next projects. Popping a piece of peppermint into her mouth, she looked around to see if any of her fellow teachers had shown up.
Miah had been enjoying her time walking around the festivities, enjoying the weather and the people and the general atmosphere while eating away at her bag of peppermints, before suddenly... they were gone.
She couldn't help but to gasp as she reached into bag only to find it empty, a frown pulling on her lips as she peered down into the bag.
"Oh... no... I'm out of mints,..."
As if on cue, another young freshling came running past, only to pause beside her, offering the imp a bundle of candycanes and a call of 'happy solstice!'.
It's a good thing that no one could read the young Baphomet's mind, because they were beginning to sound positively psychotic while on their quest to collect as many adorable plushies as they possibly could. They had seen a few freshlings and other graduates walking around with giant plushies similar to their own, though she had yet to find the booth that had the giant Kidden plushies that matched the same colors as their other two.
The moment they did find the booth however, Alis couldn't help but to grin, all but dashing up to the stand to win their next plush.
Fennekits had always been the demon's favorite familiar to try and befriend, though aside from the small red kit she had met during the festivities, she had yet to find any other fennekit that wanted to follow her home.
That just meant she could perfectly justify building a small collection of Fennekit plushies, right?
The purple-toned plush was absolutely to die for. The moment the demoness spotted the plush, she grinned, reaching down to gather up the living fennekit that had taken to following her around.
"Whaddya say we try and get our hands on that one too, eh?" she asked the creature with a grin, giggling as the little one mewled in response.
The geist let out a soft sigh as she settled down into a comfortable spot, relaxing under all the plushies she had thus far accumulated. She had been sitting there contentedly for nearly ten minutes when she had to pause, blinking out of confusion as she saw the academy librarian scurrying around, still shoving books into peoples hands. Beforelong Braelyn was on the receiving end of the act, finding herself with a book shoved into her grasp.
"O-oh... well, thank you," she said with a smile, her gaze softening as she took the book, looking down at the cover. Seconds later, a gentle blush appeared on her cheeks as she glanced around for a long moment before slowly opening the book, beginning to gaze through the pages curiously.
Milo took his time peering around the festival and soaking in every noise, decoration, and detail he encountered. It really was a huge to do, wasn't it? He wondered how many rows of booths there were and how long it would take for him to reach the end of it all. Two miles, maybe three? He angled his head around a corner and squinted, trying his hardest to see the final booths at the end of the line, until his eyes caught onto something else. Was that his mother? He beamed.
"Mom! You made it!" He cheered, bouncing into her arms. "How was work? Did you sell any special plants today?"
Melanie watched the boy behind her leap into his mother's arms and couldn't help but smile nostalgically. Her family was very much the same, honestly, everyone so excited to see one another during the holiday season. Cousins, aunts, uncles, even relatives that were so far removed from you seemed just as eager as that boy was to hug you, kiss you, and give you all sorts of gifts and attention. It made her a little sad, honestly, that she was missing Solstice with her family right now, because most of them were still in Above. In fact, what little family that had come with her had gone back home just for the festivities, leaving Melanie in Below to finish her studies. They had understood, though, so it wasn't a big deal for them, it just... Felt a little lonely.
"Ha, another sugary treat and a plushie. Pretty cute." She laughed, tucking the plush under her arm. "Come on, Holly. Let's move on. I want to see what else is here before heading back to Grendel for the night."
London eventually left his post at the bench and placed a bookmark in the book he had been reading in favor of getting himself something to eat. It was kind of funny how hungry you got just from sitting about and reading, it was like you were getting hungry from the adventure in the story. Or, maybe it was because he hadn't actually eating anything yet. Whoops. "One mint cotton candy, please!" He said, picking off a handful once he had it in his hand. "Mmm, a little too sweet, but still satisfying. I doubt it'll hold me for too long though. ... I should probably squeak by the cafeteria while it's still open for a proper snack."
Zephyr couldn't help but laugh at himself as he picked another plant to take back to the dorm with him. It was weird how he couldn't settle for just one of something, no matter how hard he tried. He had to always have a matching pair, like some kind of obsessive weirdo. He puckered his lips at his own opinion and rubbed at the pot's red surface. Where to now? He couldn't stand at this booth forever.
"I should play a few more games, if they're still open, and get some more noodles." He decided, nodding to himself. "If I hurry, there may still be some beef flavored noodles left..."
Valerian was still iffy about hanging onto his sister's hand, but figured that avoiding her wrath would be the best thing for him to do for now. After all, she was such a daddy's little girl, he had no doubt that she'd make good on her word to tell their dad everything bad he'd done if he didn't listen to her tonight. The pink haired boy quietly sighed and turned toward the booths. Soon, something bright and blue caught his eye and he was tugging Dahlia along with him.
"Look at all these blue things, Dahlia!" He exclaimed, his eyes glittering with excitement. "I want this plushie, oh, and this bracelet! They go super good together!"
Dahlia had been distracted by the crowd around them when Valerian started tugging her toward a booth to her right. Man, for his age and size, Valerian's grip was very strong! How could someone so small be so powerful? She pouted and allowed him to slip his hand from hers, her hand flexing in response to the tugging, before looking at the items in the booth. Yeah, there were a lot of blue things, and she wasn't terribly fond of blue things... But something on one of the shelves did catch her eye. "This is such a neat snow globe, look!" She exclaimed, taking it from it's place and giving it a shake. "I love the little scene going on inside of it. I wonder how they make figurines so small like that? It must take a lot of practice!"
Hailey grinned as she teased Malachi again. "All the ones he doesn't take are the ones we would like!" though she really didn't know what kind of stuff Nikora was into as far as school was concerned. Whatevs! She was just playing anyways. "Hey.... what kinda classes do you like, anyways, Niko? I like artsy classes~... and music and dance~.... You know what! Don't answer that! There's a game to get to!" she proclaimed as she dragged the two into the gym... but not without grabbing a couple bundles of candy canes on the way in for herself and Malachi.
Malachi pouted at Hailey. She was such a mean teaser like that. Sure it's what she did, but did she have to pick on him so much? "You should still answer that, Nikora~" he encouraged as the stepped into the gymnasium. Wow... the set-up in there was extremely different than the normal. Walls and hiding spots and all sorts of things set up. It looked like a battle zone. "Whoa...." he said aloud. Oh dear... this was gonna get messy for him! He was very not good at these sort of things!
"Dude!" Hailey shouted out in pure excitement. "This is going to be so awesome!" Turning to Malachi and Nikora, she grinned widely. "If we end up on opposite teams, I'm so getting you guys!" and letting go of Malachi's hand, she shot straight for the equipment area to get strapped in for the game!
