Kyrie started to nod, then grimaced and sighed.
"Not ... exactly," she murmured. Then she checked herself. "Sorry, that isn't helpful at all. It's just ... Ahkshi and I were talking about Mailon, and somehow he convinced me that the best way for me to not be afraid of him being free would be to have him travel with us."
She shook her head. "Don't ask me how that happened. But at any rate, he has convinced me, and I didn't want to invite him without first making sure it's all right with all of you."
She looked at Lin and Earendil. "You two, especially. You know the most about him. Do you trust him, to take him with us?"
Earendil looked at Lin thoughtfully. "What do you think?" he asked her.
Shoneah had no idea what was going on. She had never heard of this Mailon person before. She leaned close to Miyuki, the person nearest her. "Who is she talking about?" she asked her softly.

Miyuki leaned over to Shoneah and whispered back, "Mailon is a man that was found about two seasons ago. He's a good guy, but apparently in his past life he had done some horrible things, some of which was to Kyrie. In this life though, he's a good guy, but with his memory back, it's caused a lot of tension for him and for Kyrie. I think having him travel with us is trying to... I guess come to terms with it all."
Actually, Miyuki hoped that her parents would say yes, then maybe he wouldn't be so alone trying to figure things and out maybe Kyrie and him could come to terms somehow.
Lin mused, all the while thinking Askshi was an amazing person, "I don't have problem with it actually. Earendil and I talked at length about him with Shiro and Shiro and Kaito are good judges of character."

"Ah," Shoneah nodded in understanding. She couldn't help but wonder what had happened between Kyrie and Mailon, but it wasn't her place to know, so she didn't press any further.
Earendil smiled and nodded his agreement with what Lin had said. "We've also been talking with him off and on, and he does seem quite a decent fellow. I think it would be fine for him to join us."
Kyrie looked as though she wasn't certain whether or not she thought it was a good thing that she agreed, but she smiled faintly and nodded.
"Then I will speak with him soon," she murmured. "He's almost healed up enough to leave, so I can't put it off for long."

"If he says yes, tell me and I'll make a room," Miyuki told Kyrie, "There's a lot of hall space."
She had foreseen this after all, though she hadn't expected to need to make anything so soon.

Kyrie nodded. "I'll do that. I'm going to head home for now, though. I just wanted to make sure it was fine with all of you. See you later."
She turned to leave, but before going out the door she paused and turned back to them again.
"By the way, I almost forgot," she said sheepishly. "Winter's coming up. Is there anything you'll need for it? You've got things to keep you warm? I know most of you have clothes, Shoneah and Eron will need to get theirs from the tailor soon ... but wood for fires and the like? Enough blankets?"
The past winter they'd spent in a house in the city, so she wasn't sure what kind of supplies they'd needed then.

Miyuki looked thoughtful, though the home was to keep most of the cold out, like any home there would always be some cold seeping in.
"I'm not sure, I suppose we could use a few more blankets just in case. Maybe put them in the living room for anyone who needs them...." she glanced at her parents.
Lin nodded, "Wood for fire, just to cut down on having to find it during the winter. It'll just be for the fire outside for cooking since there isn't any heating in here except the forge."
"And forges uses charcoal, wood wouldn't get it hot enough," Miyuki knew that much, "This does well as a home though, and the runes in the tent itself will protect it from any wind or storms."
Though she didn't know how cold it got during the winter around here, but she was thinking more of the north when she was making the tent.

Kyrie nodded. "All right. You've got a few axes then? In good condition?"
"Yes," Daeron affirmed. "They're still pretty new, so they'll be good for a few years at least."
"Maybe we should think about a storage room for wood or extra supplies," Earendil suggested, glancing at Miyuki. "If we can get a good supply, we won't have to worry about looking for wood when we're up north."
"Good idea, because there aren't many trees up there," Kyrie agreed. "There were some extra skins from our hunting that the tailor didn't need, so I'll make them into blankets. The fur will keep you warmer, too. Give me a few days."

Miyuki nodded, "A room in the north hall right across from the forge."
This way if Andarien did get to the point where he kept more metals and needed to store them, he could store them there. It was a really good thing she had thought of an extra hallway.

"Good. I'll see you all in a few days then," Kyrie smiled. "Later."
And then she was gone.
Lancaeriel turned to Miyuki. "Are we allowed to start moving our things in?" she asked her, her pale eyes bright. "I must say, traveling has been wonderful, and I do enjoy it - but there's nothing like having a home."

Miyuki nodded, "Adding things won't affect anyone moving in or really anyone living here."
That's why she needed to have the bare basics already set up before hand.
"So yea, feel free to move in, we can keep the extra tents in the storage space, as soon as I make it..."
She was sure they could find some uses for those tents in the future. They were good for quick trips.

"Wonderful!" Lancaeriel beamed. She turned to her husband. "Come on, let's get our things."
The two of them hurried off, with Lancaeriel leading Cael by the hand.
Earendil smiled at Lin. "Shall we get our things as well?" he asked her.
Daeron and Iorlas had also headed off to pack their things to prepare for the move.

Lin grinned, "Let's."
Miyuki grinned, as she watched everyone go off to get their stuff. She on the other hand had plans, perhaps a quick trip into town was called for.
It was the beginning of Fading by the time Miyuki finished adding the other two rooms. The project had taken her that long because she insisted on commissioning for another futon set, there was no reason not to.
Everyone else was moved, which cut down the number of tents to just one. What probably amused Miyuki the most was that from the outside, it didn't look like a huge group of people were staying in one place.
With the rooms (and the main part of her project) finished, Miyuki turned her attention back to practicing her plant magic and training her Pokemon. Now that she knew more about Suki, she could figure out how to train the mischievous creature along with Ai and Yasu.
Though at the moment they were goofing off with Ai using her telekinesis to swirl around leftover fallen leaves in the air, Suki chasing after said leaves and Yasu helping Miyuki make roasted sweet potatoes by setting a pile of leaves in the fire pit on fire and then smothering them so they could retain heat without burning said sweet potatoes underneath.

The others had also been busy while Miyuki had been working on those new rooms. Andarien had gotten very busy with his new forge, and Shoneah had also done some work in there. It seemed to help the two of them, too: there was no longer the same awkwardness that there had been during the first several weeks they'd known each other.
As promised, Cael had turned the paper walls and doors of the mobile home - especially his and Lancaeriel's room - into enormous works of art depicting various landscapes - mountains, beaches, ocean, forests, desert, snowy fields, even an underwater reef.
Kaito had continued to work with Andarien, training him with his sword, and Shoneah had hunted, helped Andarien with his archery, and made some bullets for her pistols - at least, prepping them for when she could make some gunpowder, which hadn't happened yet.
"Hey, it's Kyrie again!" Kaito called out from where he was lounging beneath a tree.
And indeed, it was Kyrie approaching the camp from the direction of the city. And she wasn't alone. A dozen paces behind her was Mailon, dressed in forest garb, carrying a bag, and loaded down with weapons.

Miyuki looked up from where she was roasting the sweet potatoes, making out the two people coming towards them.
"And I think that's Mailon," Miyuki murmured as she stood up.
Just in time to have a stream of leaves rush past her, along with Suki and then Ai.
"Yea... today is a good day to introduce someone to the group," she added as an after thought.
She put up an arm and waved to the pair coming towards them.

"Guess he must have recovered enough to leave the clinic," Kaito quipped without getting up from his spot. "Doesn't look like he's completely better yet, though."
While Kyrie was moving as easily as she always did, Mailon was moving slowly, favouring one leg. He was growing further and further behind Kyrie, and every few moments, Kyrie would pause and let him catch up a bit before continuing.
"New housemate?" Kaito called out when they came a bit closer.
Kyrie just waved in reply.
