As her fingers closed around the fragment she paused, eyes closing as she tried to listen hard to the voice that started speaking.
Aldara... Midway... Going... Aldara
Her brow furrowed as she stumbled back away from the crevice that she had drawn the fragment from, trying to have the confusion on her face replaced with something closer to triumph by the time she was back in front of the Goddess again.
"I found one!" Her hand extended so that the deity could see the glimmer of light between her fingers, afraid to release it just yet least it try to escape.

Acerola listened in on the other girl and the Goddess' conversation. They were talking about fragments and the moon. Then, the Goddess wanted them, and any others lurking around, to go find some fragments.
Acerola could do that. She began scanning the area near her for floating fragments. No dice, the first one she tried to catch flew away as soon as she made an attempt to grab it. Maybe she was out of practice....

Acerola's arm slowly crept up on another one of the fragments. She made a quick swiping motion as soon as the fragment seemed to notice the approaching hand, catching it. As her fingers made contact, a voice seemed to say "Goodbye." And, that was it.
"There was no meaning to the word." Acerola thought. The voice was very monotonous, and from that, Acerola couldn't tell what the "goodbye" was for, or who it was from.
However, she brought it back to the Goddess without mentioning it.

"And so they come," The Goddess of Ruin commented wryly, beckoning Axel to come closer. "Do you see around you? The lingering fragments? Bring me one."
Her attention had returned to the moon once again when the one who spoke to her before and still did not give her name offered her a fragment. The Goddess plucked it carefully from her hands with her long black talons, the light disappearing within the Goddess' darkness. "Thank you."
The motion was repeated with shy Acerola, however this one also received a nod of thanks from the Goddess.
"Just one from each of you will do," she began. "But two... Two will not be enough; I require more for what I seek to do. However..." She trailed off, looking down at them. "Should you bring me, say, four more to make five... Perhaps I may make it worth your while."
OOC: PICKING UP A FRAGMENT

- Fragments looked like floating orbs of light in crystal shapes. They are slightly tiny, and unobtrusive, but also evasive. Picking up one requires some work. - Roll 1d6 to try to pick up a fragment. If you roll even you are successful. You can try as many times as you'd like! - Each time you pick up a fragment successfully you hear something. A phrase, a few words, a name. It doesn't sound familiar at all. It is a past memory of your character. If your character is a quest or doesn't have too much back history, you can make a quick one up for them. But it is only a FEW WORDS. The words don't have much meaning. Your character DOES NOT linger on those words. They have no reason to.

In addition, please do me a favor and add your name to this list under the spoiler tag after you give the Goddess a fragment. Please also quote me when you do, and include a running total of how many fragments you are offering.
Well, then again, maybe gathering the fragments wouldn't be as easy as she thought. Hands on hips, she glanced around trying to see what corner they might have darted into... Wishing, briefly, that she had a jar to trap them in.

Igny listened carefully to the goddess, nodding with her words. She wanted fragments- no, she wanted many fragments. Igny's mouth was wide in awe.
The goddess was asking something of her.
She nodded quickly, running around the spire attempting to catch the bits. "Yes Miss Ruin!" she called. "I will do my best!"

Igny found one lying under a rock, and clapped to herself. Perfect! Just perfect! The moment her fingertips touched the smooth crystal, she found herself transported to another world.
"No Ying, once more. The lockstitch must go under, then over, twist then pull."
"I want to play with Jing mother. My fingers are tired!"
A slap was given to the side of her head. "Never speak that way again."
Ying didn't understand. She just wanted to be with her brother ...
The memory faded and Igny was left with a foul sense of longing. Why? Who were those people?

Wait. What's the Goddess doing, sitting in the plaza?
He wanted to ask someone about it, but their actions has spoke louder. Fragment hunt. Some of them handed the glittering particles to the Goddess's hand, only for its shine to be extinguished. Did she absorbed it somehow?
Either way. This is a perfect chance if he wanted to ask the Goddess a question. Besides, catching a Fragment wasn't that hard, right?
