The only people she'd ever met with glowing chopsticks were family members. She moved a bit closer, intensely examining the other kit, wondering if she /was/ related to her somehow...

[5/31/2015 6:59:10 PM] Jinx: Cyg: She paused, blinked, then, in a high, clear voice, answered, "I'm Cygnus." She looked at the other's chopstick again, then down to the glowing beads of her own. Only the beads glowed, unlike her mother, who actually glowed. Though her body she could see the floor, though it was perfectly clear. Looking through her body was like looking through steam or mist. The other was solid, but that didn't mean much; Phae was solid, and so was Dad. "Your chopstick glows so I though at first you were family and I was coming over to nap."

Was this girl a ghost? Maybe an illusion? She poked her nose closer to Cygnus and wiggled when she made contact with her- What are you? Why are you like that? -She blinks- Family? No, no, my family are demon royalty! I'm Evangeline Cooper-Dantes!
[5/31/2015 7:14:51 PM] Jinx: Cyg: "Oh! Well my family's last name is Starbright and my uncle's family doesn't have last names, so I guess we aren't related then." She peered at the chopstick again, this time much closer and easier to inspect. It looked a lot like Cham's chopstick. Maybe.... But no. None of her family had demon blood, though lots of people thought they were ghosts. Deimos would have mentioned something if they were at all supernatural. Now that that little puzzle was out of the way, she turned her attention to Evangeline's questions and shrugged. "I'm just me. Mom says she and Uncle James aren't ghosts cause we're all still alive. People always think we're ghosts, but we're just us." She noticed Evangeline's tail and stared at it, longing to touch to see what it felt like. "I've met a spirit before, but never a demon. Is that why your tail is different?"

Well, it wouldn't have mattered anyway. My daddy knows all about ghosts, so I'm not scared of them. -She turned her nose in the air until she noticed Cygnus staring at her tail- Yes, my tail is a demon tail! It's kind of like a whip 'cause it flicks about fast. -She flails her tail about- See?
[5/31/2015 7:27:59 PM] Jinx: Cyg: She nodded. It was a very fast tail indeed! Her own fluffy tail couldn't move nearly so fast. However she was pretty sure her tail made a much more comfortable pillow than Evangeline's tail. "Guess demons don't nap on each other much, with the tails and horns and all. My family's pretty fluffy, so they make good pillows."
Evangeline: -They did so nap on each other, just not when daddy was busy in his study! She pouted a little.- Well... My sisters and I do take naps together, but our mommy and daddy don't nap with us. They're always busy. -She frowned and flicked her tail- ... What's it like having a fluffy tail? Is it hard to brush?
[5/31/2015 7:42:06 PM] Jinx: Cyg: She blinked and commented, "That sounds lonely." One of her parents always seemed to be around. But then, they weren't demon royalty. "I guess being royal isn't as fun as it sounds." Well, even if that had been the case in her own life, she much preferred napping on one of her siblings or on top of Deimos. She flicked out her fluffy tail and curled up tightly on the ground, laying her head at the base of her tail so she looked like a 6. "It's not hard to brush if you keep up with it. Mine doesn't have any tangles in it at all right now."
[5/31/2015 7:46:31 PM] This is Pidgie! 8D: Evangeline: -Lonely... She supposed, but she wouldn't admit it- Being royalty is fun, though! I can go anywhere in the castle to play if I want to! -Just not outside, her daddy didn't think she was ready to go outside yet. She tilited her head as Cygnus laid her head on her tail and blinked- Ah, I see! Regular upkeep keeps the tangles away, just like hair! -She nodded to herself. That made sense.- But what happens when you get a tangle? Does your entire tail get all tangled up, too?
[5/31/2015 7:50:33 PM] Jinx: Cyg: She shook her head. "Your whole tail doesn't get tangled unless you haven't brushed it at all in a long time. Sometimes if it's really windy or really wet the fur gets twisted together and makes little tangles, but those are easy to get out if you don't let them sit there." She flicked the very tip of her tail. "You can feel for yourself if you want. Lots of people like to touch my fur anyway, cause they think it'll feel different since I look funny. It doesn't, but they still think so."
[5/31/2015 7:58:23 PM] This is Pidgie! 8D: Evangeline: -Considers this information and raises a paw to touch Cygnus' tail- Oooh, it is fluffy! Kind of like my daddy's hair! -She giggled a little, only to cover her mouth and flick her tail toward Cygnus- You can touch mine, too, if you want. Just to be fair.
[5/31/2015 8:10:30 PM] Jinx: Cyg: She sat back up so that she had the proper use of her arms, and very carefully felt the tail being offered to her while she commented, "My spine crest will probably be just as fluffy one day. Mom and Uncle James both have fluffy crests. Dad doesn't have one, but he's got really fluffy hair." Her paws quested gently over the tail as she spoke. It felt soft and very warm, though the tip of the tail was a bit harder. It would probably hurt a lot if it hit you going fast, though she bet it would also hurt Evangeline to hit it on something!

[5/31/2015 8:24:30 PM] Jinx: Cyg: She flashed the other a grin and gave the tail in her hands a quick tickle. "You told me I could feel your tail," she said in humorous tones, but then obliged Evangeline's wish and released the tail. She reached around and nosed the silvery fur that ran in a straight line starting near the top of her skull, down her neck, and across the length of her back. "This 's my crest. I don't know if it's supposed to be called something else, so I just call it a crest cause it sounds neat."

She didn't really notice the slightly haughty tone Evangeline spoke in except that it made her feel full of mischief. Deimos talked in the same way. She wiggled a little so that Evangeline had a better view of the crest, and shook her head. "Don't think so. Mom says she and Uncle James were all alone when they were little. She doesn't think they had parents. And we don't have any horns or hooves or scales."

I see! -She nodded, making a bit of a face as Cygnus giggled, and looked around- My daddy usually doesn't let me go this far from the castle when we go outside together, I wonder where they are. Where are your parents? Were they nearby?

Mom doesn't like him taking us too far away." She looked curious. "What's it like to be in a castle? Don't you get bored, not being allowed to leave it?"

Sometimes my sisters don't want to play with me and outside looks like so much more fun. But, my daddy says it's too dangerous for me to go out on my own, even if my sisters are with me. He says that angels might come and kidnap me. -Shudders-

It still sounded lonely though, since she knew adults didn't really understand play. They just fussed about time or being tired or busy. "I'd play with you, but I don't know if I'd be able to find the castle, or if that would make your dad mad." She pondered the dilemma for a moment. "Would your dad let you come out more if he was sure you'd be safe?"

If you think I look weird though, you should see his fur! The colors move like a fire, but it just feels like fur. Sometimes faces appear, but vanish quickly, like when you see a shape in something but it's gone when you blink." She looked rather animated as she described Sirius, using her paws to mime concepts as she spoke. "He's really nice though. He always knows when things are around, usually ghosts, but he knows other things too. He doesn't really like it cause I guess things pick on him, but Deimos is usually with him and he can help a lot as well!"

She was sure Evangeline's dad would be okay with them at least playing outside the castle once he met Sirius and Deimos. She didn't know if they could fight an angel, but they could easily tell if one was trying to sneak up. "If you can show me how to get to the castle, I'll bring my dad and Sirius and Deimos next time so your dad can meet them. I know my dad won't mind. He's says it's good for us to experience new things."

Okies, having Muse rolls the couple around and seeing what comes up. She thinks the bit of roleplay we did establishes a pretty good foundation. She's going to make some assumptions real quick. If Eva shows Cyg how to get to the castle then Cyg will eventually return with her dad and Sirius to introduce to Eva's dad to see if he'll let Eva out to play more if Sirius watches them. I'm guessing immediately that Ace won't be impressed with Starlight, since he sounds and acts like the lovechild of a hippie and a surfer dude. I think he might approve of Sirius watching if the girls want to play, since just Sirius' looks are far more intimidating that his attitude and it's clear he's got some power to him, even if he is quiet. Deimos wouldn't speak up, but I'm pretty sure Ace would sense something strong lurking in the dragon plushie. Dunno if he'd think it's just part of Sirius or recognize it as a separate entity, but as a demon I'm betting he's going to at least feel the added power from that presence. So Eva and Cyg would grow up being able to play together with Sirius as babysitter. Part of me is curious to know what Ace would think of Cygnus, since I'm sure he'd have time to look in on them at some point or have time one day to watch over them himself.

[6/9/2015 12:01:17 AM] Jinx: I dunno if Eva was a bossy child, but I see her being very much the leader when it comes to games or doing things. Not even always in an energetic way, it's just clear she's in charge and will only do something if she wants to do it. I think at first Cyg's habit of constantly napping would likely irritate her, or at least it would at times. I also suspect that Cyg using Eva as a pillow whenever she can would irritate her, until one day when she gripes about it to Sirius when Cyg is off napping somewhere. Sirius would smile a little and tell Eva that it might not seem like it, but it's actually a high honor and a symbol of just how much Cyg must like Eva, and that there so far Cyg has only used her siblings and Deimos as pillows. She won't even sleep on her parents or Sirius.
As they grow up more I see Eva getting a bit possessive of Cyg, though I don't know how she'd show it. I'm not sure if she'd be jealous of Cyg's twin or indifferent, since Phae isn't transparent like Cyg is.

[6/9/2015 12:35:39 AM] Jinx: Mostly what I'm getting from Muse is when the girls are still little Cyg will likely bring Eva things, stuff that can't be found around the castle that she's talked about, so Eva can see these things for herself. When Eva is older and allowed has more freedom to go out and see things for herself, Cyg would likely go along when Eva wants her to (probably not all the time, since there will be times she's probably off somewhere and Eva can't find her or there will be times Eva wants to do something on her own), and now she's less likely to bring Eva things and more likely to take Eva to the places where she finds things she thinks Eva would like.
Here's another question though. How do you think love would happen? Like would maybe the start of a crush happen when Eva from the moment Sirius explains how special it is that Cyg uses Eva for a pillow at times, or at some other such moment in their childhood, and then it grows as they do until it appears as adults, or is it apparent all along? Would Eva be aware she likes Cyg or would something have to happen the brings the awareness forward from her subconscious? I mean I can probably think of a lot of different ideas, but I don't know exactly how Eva's thoughts and feelings process. Like does she ever get jealous of those who Cyg seems close to or get possessive when others seem to be trying to get close to Cyg. I hate to try to drag your muse out when she probably wants to rest, but Muse is saying she needs some more info into Eva's probable actions and reactions XD
