Jerry might be right, but Candace didn't want to admit it. She instead looked to B0nez with a small smile. "You're a part of him." She answered simply, quickly and to the point. He didn't need much explanation though Candace had a feeling B0nez would believe her better than Harrison did.
Heh. He thought they were duped. Her smile was somewhat sad as she shook her head. "Option A is out of the question. What's option B?" Atropos suddenly tapped her shoulder and pointed toward the glass wall of the elevator, her eyes wide and fearful. Candace, despite not wanting to know, looked to see what her problem was.
The city..
"No.." She clasped a hand over her mouth, gasping softly. They needed to work faster. Now.

B0nez got a sad, earnest look from Rep as they went. He replied purely out of instinct. He'd thrown honesty out there and intended to stick to it, and as far as he was concerned, B0nez was one of his best friends regardless of what world they were in. He also had an extremely level head. His hands stopped shaking and he seemed to pull himself together as he addressed the other guy, a mirror of the fascinated look, seeing B0nez like this was still new.
"You are with him. But you aren't a person in the ******** up world I come from you are like. A weapon. Like a pair of swords. You used to be a ghost. I dunno what the voice is but would be nice if we could murder it. Dunno if that would end the program though, I think its holding this s**t together. It'd crash. And not in a good way either. Guess silver king is maybe with us? I dunno anymore. Maybe he's someone from our side trying to wake you guys up."
Harrison got a dismal look. "I've no been taken for a ride. You think I'd turn on you so ******** easily? I feel in my ******** bones you aren't the real you but I still can't hit you just in case. You think we'd make this s**t up during a war? This place is falling apart, we came to save you. I came to keep a ******** promise."

"Okay," B0nez allowed, "swords is pretty badass, but, see, what I was thinking is if we could run the program-"
"No," Harrison interrupted gravely, "I...know you wouldn't. When it came down to it, no matter what s**t somebody told you. If it was you. That's why- h-hurk, s**t, what now-"
Harrison and B0nez crumpled together as the elevator rocked, Harrison looking deathly pale, and B0nez looking worse.
The key had already been turned, the ride on the way to the penthouse.
The view was already ruined, smoke blotting out much of the city, the distant glow of fire pulsing threateningly against the other buildings. A lot of the nearby windows had been shattered, like the main ones in the Casino lobby.
The elevator doors opened. The glass that had provided a spectacular view was blown out too, and a cold, angry wind blew through their bedroom.
Harrison clutched his stomach, half supported by the elevator, and looked blearily at the ruined room, but it was when he looked at the four that fear finally coursed through his expression.
"You're- not them," he said, ragged.
"Ow!" B0nez hissed, "Ow ow owhowhowhowwww," hopping backwards until he flopped back on the massive bed, spent. "Oooh, eurgh. We- we can still get it-" he panted, curling up, "just...give me a minute...."

Elsewhere from the others, Sammy stepped into reality once more, it was rather jarring, looking back and seeing the roulette table where her last life had been gambled away. Something was wrong though, everything had been blasted out, all the windows shattered, the distant smell of smoke and fire.
All of it accompanied by confusion and noise, the sounds of a dying world, time indeed was running out but the problem stood now she had no clue where he King was, where anyone was or who would even know what was going on.
The poor bartender was cowering behind his table and Sammy moved to join him simply reaching across to drink from a bottle sitting beside him.
"Y-you s-sho-"
"Should be dead? Yes. But I'm not, and I'm not real, you're not real, this drink? Sadly is not real and our worlds dying. So unless you know where the Voice is, or G, or the King I have really no need to bother you besides getting this bottle and enjoy the empty taste of whiskey while the world crumbles around me. Is that a good explanation?"
The bartender just stared in confusion as Sammy shrugged moving to drink from the bottle herself. "Someone will arrive, eventually, that or I'm out of here to find someone who can explain all this."

Jerry was getting antsy, watching Harrison as he pontificated, the view from the elevator eating away at his patience. The world was crumbling. If they didn't do something soon... what were they waiting for? The artifact... portal... whatever? All the Sun Hunter could concentrate on were the warm bodies and familiar faces they needed to wipe out as soon as possible.
His eyes locked on B0nez. For a weapon, he looked like the weakest link. Would go down quickly. Rep was too close, emotionally. Candace too, hadn't made a move. But Harrison was leading them somewhere....
He gave Candace a subtle brush with his elbow, the tightness in his jaw saying, 'when? now?'

The elevator shook and Candace reached for the nearest stable thing to stay standing. She stared ahead out of the elevator until she heard Harrison's pain, instinctively looking to the man to find out what the problem was. She followed him out of the elevator, her hands ready to catch him if he fell and yet coming back to her as if her body was telling her no this was a bad idea don't touch him but I want to hold him no don't touch him stop. This was hard. He looked and sounded so much like Harrison.
He was Harrison, a fake Harrison. He ********>. Atropos followed silently and looked ready to just shut them all up and kick Harrison out the blown out window of the tower. Surely not even a King could survive a fall from the top of his own monument of power.
Harrison finally looked at them, and Candace wasn't sure how to feel about the look in his eyes. He was scared. "Harrison...we love you just..the.." The real him, not this Harrison. "Just show us your gate? We'll just...we can.." She couldn't stand seeing Harrison in pain even if he was just a figment of imagination. An elbow against her side got her attention and she turned a slightly frantic look to Jerry.
"No, not ye--"
"Candace, there's no time." Atropos reminded her gently, casting a worried glance to the cracking and splitting skyline. Worst came to worst she was going to protect her ghoul. Candace was the most important thing to her here.
The purple-haired woman turned her attention on Jerry. He was so willing to fight, so eager. Maybe with just a little push...

"And I do hope you've got enough for all of us," Taima called as she entered the bar. Resurrection had been kind to her, and she looked lighter now that she knew that nothing mattered anyway. It was as if a great weight had been lifted from shoulders that weren't quite strong enough to bear it, the realization of non-existence allowing her to finally try contentment on for size. It was an awkward fit, but hopefully they would be around long enough to wear it in. "I would like a drink," she told the bartender as she took a seat a few stools down from Sammy. "Make that several drinks. So, so many drinks." She had never allowed herself to get drunk before, too wary of losing her composure. Now seemed like a good time to try it, though.

Sammy had popped the top off the bottle of Jack, drinking a few swigs before frowning. It felt... wrong. It wasn't as warm as it used to be, it didn't burn like it once did, and the buzz in her head right after felt somehow more distant and pathetic. She looked to Taima shrugging, "Plenty, seems everyone else is off fighting a war for a fake kingdom and fake people. You think they see it too when they die? The pillars?"

Rep felt a stab of panic as Harrison stumbled, actually moving forward on raw instinct to move nearer to him, everything in him wanting to catch him before he fell, it was hard, almost too hard to resist - to tell himself these two people weren't his Harrison and B0nez. Even if they were from this other world, even if they were fragments or whatever, it still placed them higher in his esteem than a lot of people from his own world.
He only realised how stupid it was when he was set to ask "Are you okay?" to the man he was meant to be here to defeat. But it didn't defeat the instinct to take hold of his arm and hold him up, even as the fear showed in his expression, he didn't let go.
"I told you that." he half pleaded.
Candace deterring Jerry from something nearby caught his attention and his eyes went wide. They were going to attack him. They couldn't. He couldn't stand by and let them do this. It was Harrison, not his Harrison but someone's.
Tracey stepped out of the elevator, cold and determined. William was a mess. It was expected. He moved to stand beside Jerry. "We came here for a reason."

it was as if he could see the world anew. The ritsy neon signs that hummed to life in the darkness, beckoning all into its wonders. The table where customers gambled their life and hard work away. it was all a ruse, a clever one at that. "I hope you have room for another counterfeit." he greeted the duo boldly at the bar. sammy and Taima, he never expected to see them again. But a warm welcome was necessary, bowing to the ladies that graced his presence and asking for a shot of whisky. The little vial of fluid that burned as he expected. It was a crime for fake liquor to taste good. "A war of fakes." he scoffed aloud, basking in the foolishness of it all. "Never thought the meaning of life was hidden in the afterlife, eh you two?"

With a ragged inhalation, Gargantuan bolted upright in the room he'd last remembered being in before the bullet had pierced his skull and his brain. For a long moment, he simply sat there, staring at the nearby coffee machine as though it would suddenly, randomly, it would reveal all the answers in the world to him.
No such luck.
Gingerly, Gargantuan pulled himself to his feet, not quite stumbling as he exited the room to the main casino. His eyes fell on three familiar faces, at least, and his shoulders slumped with something that might have been relief. Sammy. Taima. Jing.
Without a word, the big man strode over to the bar, taking a silent seat on the stool while making a gesture for Sammy to pour him a drink. He needed it.

Sammy turned to G smiling softly, "Told you I'd be here on the other side, just didn't know we'd be walking in the same door we walked out." She passed him the bottle smiling softly.
She turned to Jing next shrugging, "Screw the battle, I want to find the voice. I want to know the truth of things at this point. We're not silvers, or blues, or anything. But those things we saw? Those where us, we are them, how or why I don't know. But that, that is what I care about now."

Taima hummed her agreement with Jing, taking a tiny sip of one of the drinks the bartender had put down in front of her. "Of course, it does kind of ruin the rest of the story if you already know the ending." She caught sight of the bartender's warily fearful expression and turned an easy smile on him. "Yes, we're all very recently back from the dead, and very hungry for fresh brains, so--" Taima didn't actually get to finish that statement as the bartender backed away from her, retreating to the corner of the bar to polish clean glasses and keep a cautious eye on them.
He was afraid of her and she didn't care in the slightest. It was...liberating to know that nothing had consequences anymore, that any hurt she inflicted, on purpose or otherwise, ultimately didn't matter.
Her calm cheer remained in place as G entered the bar, looking whole and hale, if a little shaken. She hopped down from her stool to approach him, removing the pristine bowler hat death had been kind enough to leave her with. "I've got something that belongs to you," she said, holding it out to him. Although she had come back from the non-grave with silver clothes, the hat remained stubbornly black. "And not a scratch on it, either."

it was a lot to process, but that was what the alcohol was for, it was time to pour himself another shot. The sight of the tall stoic bodyguard was enough to make Jing feel better, fake or not, the man never deserved to die. "Welcome back, G." he said, saluting the man at his place at the bar and holding up his shot glass to the man and downed another portion of the strong liquid.
Sammy still had the fire from before, dare he say even stronger than he remembered. The quality that he liked from her. "Well then, thats makes two of us." he continued, measuring out another shot. "We're here, we might as well see it to the end."
Taima seemed to be in better spirits about the whole thing, grinning at the girl and her brilliance. "There is not point in reading the back page, other than to spoil oneself." he mentioned, letting out an airy laugh at her wit with the bartender. "Keep us hopped on the good fake stuff and you're fine bub.' he offered his two cents to the man with the liquor.

"We're wasting TIME!" Jerry finally snapped, blinking heavily as he found his feet and lunged for B0nez, but Roar had grabbed the back of his shirt, cutting the lunge short and only a knuckle grazed the little man's nose.
