  Daren nodded, "i do what i can for the boys, but-there is only so much one can do when this much damage has been done." he stroked the blue hair and smiled at Daren, "but they are strong. they're already ready to go into school at their age level after only a year of school." Taiga nodded, "my special school was really excited at how quickly we learned. especially Taiga. they said we were geniuses, but mama said that was only a word and we are her sons which is an actual thing. i like being her son better than a genius." Daren noticed Tim had gone silent, looking at the man until he looked back and giving a small smile. it was ok, Tetsu was ok now and so was he.

Your Missing Period   "You're such a good man, Daren." Rachel said, "Really, I've never known a man with so much kindness in his heart. Especially after all you've seen. Most just close up." Amanda smiled at Taiga. "Family is the most important thing you could ever have in your life. If you lose your family you lose yourself. We're all family here." Timothy chewed, noticing a small lapse in conversation before looking up. He caught Daren's blue gaze and looked away. It didn't matter, scars reminded people and Timothy was lucky enough to not have any.

Daren's ears turned red and he looked down, "i'm not all that, really. i just-it would be selfish of me to shut down when there are so many out there in need. it's Anne and Tarte that really deserve to be complimented. they had told me many, many times to call them when i find a child in need of a good home. i've called them and not once have they turned me down. the child is already a part of their family and their hearts, even before they meet them...." he smiled a little, "they are amazing people." "Mama and Dad own the best bakery in the city! a reporter came last week with cameramen and big fuzzy microphones, but Mama told them they had to come when they were closed since she didn't want to have them get in the way of all the customers. my brothers and sisters and i all came over here for a movie sleep over party!"

"See? That's what makes you a good man. You find them a home as well. Really Daren you ought to be a saint, you and that family." "Oh? Which bakery is that? Let me think. If they came last week it had to air sometime this week." and thought. "Oh! That little bakery with the cute red thingymajiggy over it?"

Taiga nodded, "that's it! Mama and Dad run it together, but dad says in the back a lot because all the women want to talk to him and it makes him blush. that's what mama said, anyways. you should come to the bakery sometime, i bet you'd like mama. she's..." he frowned, remembering the word their dad used, "firey. i bet she'd like you too!" Daren chuckled, "Don't introduce them, Taiga! those three would be a force to be reckoned with!" the trio of moms would be terrifying to say the least. he almost dreaded what kind of mischief the three would get into while plotting out Tim and his lives for them. no, best they remained strangers.

Your Missing Period Amanda's eyes brightened with happiness. "I would love to meet her! I always go to buy some sweets but either the line's too long or you guys are closed! Oh you are such a sweetheart! And I've heard your father was handsome but I've never actually seen him either. I only saw him on television!" "Well now they're best friends." Rachel said with a chuckle. "I'm done." Timothy said, his meal half-eaten. "That was very delicious, Daren. Thank you." and smiled before looking at Tetsu.

Taiga grinned, "I'll talk to mama I bet she will let you come over when they are closed. she likes meeting new people and since tim is living with Daren I bet she will love meeting you!" He turned his gaze to Daren, smiling, or we can have a party here were they can meet each other." "actually that brings up a good point. and I were talking we were thinking that a welcome home party might be a good idea. it will give him a chance to meet up with old friends and get reconnected with them. I can't believe I am helping with this, but maybe you could meet them there." Daren directed the day those 3 got together but it looked like it was going to happen with or without his help

Amanda squealed. "That's so great!" and looked at Daren happily, "Yes, let's have a party!" Timothy blushed, remembering that they might throw a party for him and Daren announced it making his face flush deeper. "That's a great idea." Rachel said with a nod, turning to Tim, "You had a lot of friends at your workplace. And for us to meet Aomine's parents, well this is killing two birds with one stone." Timothy nodded. "It'd be nice, but, I wouldn't know who to invite." He hadn't really checked his facebook since yesterday to see who was coming or how many people were coming. He should probably do that sometime today.

Taiga frowned, "how are you going to meet Daren's parents? he doesn't have any, right?" he looked at Daren confused. "I think she meant your parents, Taiga. Anne and Tarte, right?" he looked at Rachel and smiled, "just a slip of the tongue. Tim, if you want we could rent out a clubhouse my force uses for parties and such. then you can invite everyone and there will most defiantly be room. it might be easier, actually, since it has an industrial sized kitchen. Anne will want to contribute to the party, but we could cook up a couple treats too if you'd like."

"I-I don't know how many people accepted the invitation!" if any at all, "I'm sure the apartment will be enough. Unless you don't want to hold it here." he said quickly. "We need a large kitchen." Amanda said. "How else are we supposed to cook a feast?"

Taiga smiled, "Daren's our big brother. or Uncle. Mama said we can pick whichever we want." Daren nodded, "Anna has a large kitchen we could use, but we should look at who's accepted the invitation and go from there. knowing you, Tim, i'd imagine you just might get quite a few attending, though. i can't imagine anyone who knows you not wanting to get back in contact and come to the party."

"Oh you shouldn't call him Uncle." Rachel said with a chuckle, "makes him sound old. And he doesn't have any wrinkles yet." Timothy nodded, standing up to go to where the laptop was. How many people were going to attend? How many remembered? Timothy himself had never been a drinker but wine would seem all right instead of beer. Beer always seemed so cheap. At most he suspected maybe twenty, he thought while opening the machine and clicking the internet button. "If it was small like eight people we could do it here but I think anything over ten deserves a larger kitchen. Plus your apartment is small so it'd only be logical." Amanda murmured in agreement watching Timothy. She wondered what he was loo--he closed it. "Timothy?" she questioned The man looked up a mix between fear, relief and ready to cry "I have over thirty accepting." he said. "Thirty. Are they just coming for free food? Why would thirty come?"

Taiga nodded, "he's more a big brother, right?" Daren smiled, "told you so. everyone wants to see you, Tim. you've lots of friends, they aren't coming for the food, they are coming for you." he was glad there were so many favorable responses. it would be a huge confidence boost to Tim to host this party. "i'll make a call and reserve the club house later, what day do we want to set this?"

Rachel nodded. "I think he's more of a big teddy bear than anything." "This means we'll need to use Anna's kitchen! Or the clubhouse kitchen if there's going to be over thirty!" Amanda exclaimed. "Taiga you need to ask your mother if she's willing to cool. Aomine! Reserve us the clubhouse!' Tim looked at the closed laptop, tapping his fingers on it. "I'm sure some are coming for food." he tried to reassure himself. "What day is it? We could set it for next weekend I suppose, get things ready." he murmured, nervous suddenly.

Taiga laughed, "That's it! that's totally it! he's Tetsu's teddy bear." Taiga's face fell slightly, "his security blanket. Tetsu only ever truely feels safe with him...he can't feel one hundred percent safe with me. he's always protected me, so why would he rely on me?" he shook his head and forced himself to smile, "that's ok. someday i'll grow up big and strong like Daren. i want to become someone others can rely on." Daren looked at his calender, "it's Thursday the 6th. Want to set the date for next friday or saturday? that would be the the 14th or 15th, and maybe have it around...7 at night? sound good to you?"
