After a quick chat with her parents who were nestled in the living room, she said her good nights and walked upstairs. As she freshened up, she changed into a comfy pair of shorts and a shirt, only one thing on her mind. The more and more she thought about him, the more she remembered. About them meeting, them talking, she even remembered Evanna. You know, I never did learn why I was supposed to know you... she thought, laying down on her bed with a quiet sigh. I'll have to remember to ask you tomorrow... she thought, her eyes drifting shut, and her mind drifting elsewhere.━━━━━━━━ × ━ × ━ × ━━━━━━━━ Who am I with ? -- Alexander

  ╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander went to be rather happy that night, though he took measures to prevent the same thing from happening with the plants as had the night before.
"Yes ma'am, a human girl! She's been spending everyday with him!" a kneeling elf was speaking to his mistress, who sat in a chair that seemed to have grown out of a tree trunk. Around them elves were dancing. It seemed as though the trees had jumped out of the way to make room for them, though the floor of the clearing was covered with soft leaves. His mistress grinned then. "Why are you still here? Go get her!" She said, standing and catching a human man who'd been spun towards her. His eyes were completely glazed over, but he was smiling. He was wearing rather formal clothes from the 1830's and his hair was styled to match. "We're running low on human guests anyway." She said, twirling away with the man. The elf nodded to two other males who broke away to join him. It didn't take her long to find the girls home then. They didn't mind walking out in the open. Though they were stunningly beautiful, they wore a glamour that made them unnoticeable. It was this that allowed them to enter Danny's house and search for her. They trod quietly until they came to her room. Upon confirming that this was in fact the girl they wanted, they dropped all attempts to keep from alerting her to their presence. One opened the window while two more wrapped her in her covers. They tossed her from the window to the one waiting below and followed, laughing jovially even as she fought them all the way back to their clearing.
Once more they stood before their mistress in her chair. They pulled the blankets tight around the girl to keep her from struggling as much as they set her on her feet, keeping ahold of her, and pulled the covers from her face. "See ma'am! She's cute, right?" They said as their mistress stepped toward her. She placed her hand below the girls chin and laughed when she pulled away. "Relax, relax my dear! My messengers were right, you will fit in with us quite well. After all, we just want to dance." She said, tightening her grip on the girls jaw and locking her eyes with hers. Within moments, all the girl would want to do was join in their moonlight dances...forever...╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Her eyes shot open, but she couldn't see anything, because her sheets were smothered over her face. She struggled and twisted, but couldn't seem to push her way out. She was about to demand what was happening, but she felt her body drop, like she had just taken a backwards dive off of her roof. She shut her eyes in terror, and was surprised at her rather soft landing. Without another beat, she began asking and yelling about where she was, who these people were, where they were going, why were they doing this. She could feel herself in somebody's arms, and at first she thought it might be Alexander, but she shook the thought of. He would never do something like this. He would know it would frighten her.
Amid chocked screams and yells for help, Danny fought back tears. She was now having trouble breathing. She prayed this was just some joke, a prank, or some really bad dream... and soon she knew no one was coming to help. So she called for the only other person who she could hope would come to her rescue. "Alexander!" she screeched, still trying to push her way free, her voice cracking with fear. Soon she felt herself being moved, and she heard noises and music, voices. She called for Alexander again before the sheets were removed from her face and she was able to take a deep breath, taking in the cold night air. In front of her was a woman whom she had never seen before. At the sound of other voices, she turned to the figures beside her and tried to take a step back, but couldn't. The woman spoke to her, and she knew she could probably do anything but relax. As she gripped her chin, Danny froze, her eyes focused on the woman's eyes.
Soon she shut her own eyes, willing them to stay shut, and began trying to rip free once more, praying that someone had heard her calls. She finally realized that these people had to be apart of Alexander's world. These were no ordinary people. There had been several nights where Danny had gone home just to stay up for hours searching, diving through information on her laptop about mythical creatures and things that just didn't make sense. She knew a lot about Alexander's world of elves and monsters, but wasn't as informed as he was. She understood that there were creatures that were real, and very dangerous, but she couldn't help but admit to herself that her knowledge wasn't anything to gawk at. She was helpless.
Still closing her eyes so hard it began to hurt, she allowed herself to let out another scream. "Alexander!" she screeched again, trying to pull the sheets from her body, afraid of what was going to happen next.━━━━━━━━ × ━ × ━ × ━━━━━━━━ Who am I with ? -- Elves?!

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander had been sleeping rather peacefully, albeit in a somewhat awkward position. He had been unable to fall asleep at first, thinking of various ways to make their planned outing more than just a chat with some nixies. Due to his racing mind, he'd decided to read a random book from his shelves, propped up against the wall. He fallen asleep and was now bent forward in his bed, his head touching the book propped on his bent knees. He was dreaming, it was obvious from the occasional twitch or slight change in his face, but whatever he was dreaming was interrupted as a rather frantic Rasiel raced into his room, slamming the door against the wall, and leaped onto his bed, scratching and biting him until he was thoroughly awake (which was unsurprisingly a short process.)
Alexander caught Rasiel under his arms and lifted him, rather startled. "What's wrong, what's happened?" He asked, breathless, but all he got in return were general noises of distress one would expect from any fox. Realizing he wasn't going to get any cooperation, Alexander dove into Rasiel's mind to see what he'd seen.
He was roaming the forest, apparently aimlessly, when running feet caught his attention. Before he could bother to move however, he was practically trampled by them. As he rolled across the floor, he recognized the creatures. Elves, taking some human back to their revelries. Normally he wouldn't have cared much aside from being miffed about being knocked over, but the voice he'd heard amidst snapping twigs and rustling leaves was familiar and he decided to follow them. He got his bearings and followed the sound of their running, though he wasn't exactly in a great hurry. There weren't many humans he particularly cared about. It wasn't until one piercing shriek rang out, a name he was quite familiar with, that cold dread poured into his heart and he turned with a yip, racing for the shop.
That same dread had transferred to Alexander before he was even fully withdrawn from Rasiel's mind and he was up. He didn't bother to get properly dressed, not even stopping to put a shirt and shoes on, and he left his hair go a mess as he raced for the door and into the forest. He really only had what he'd gained from other fae about where the may have taken her, but he could listen and hear them. Already he could hear their ethereal music, and it was that he ran towards.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

It was the same woman, but her grin was gone. Replacing it was a menacing scowl, and Danny's chin began to ache from her fingers. "NO, please!" she howled, her eyes drawn back to this horrifying figure in front of her. Her heart shook with her body, and she was scared that this might be the end. She knew creatures like this- she couldn't call them people anymore- took humans as prey, made them do horrible things. Of course she didn't know for sure if they were those kind of elves... or dwarfs... or something. She didn't know if they were evil or twisted, but her gut told her that now was the time to run.
But... she couldn't move. Not anymore. She was frozen. Yes, there was a cold shiver running through her body, but it was more fear than anything. One last time, she made an effort to turn away, and her voice rang out. "Alexander!" Her eyes watered, and she tried to close her eyes, but she couldn't. She could feel her body letting go. Whatever they were doing to her, it was happening now, and she couldn't do anything about it.━━━━━━━━ × ━ × ━ × ━━━━━━━━ Who am I with ? -- Elves?!

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander heard her scream, and that was it. He would have been surprised he hadn't fell trees if he weren't set on doing one thing, and that was, currently, cracking some elvish skulls. He arrived just as she screamed his name and was momentarily relieved to see that she was fine before his eyes locked onto the female elf, who'd dropped her hand rather quickly, grinning pleasantly at him as he stalked towards her, the usual calm grey color of his eyes dispelled to make way for a bright and intense green that suggested that, at the moment, he was capable of murder. He went to Danny first and freed her from the covers wrapped around her, though his eyes didn't leave the lead elf. One by one, the elves around them disappeared slowly, not wanting to be involved in the conflict. Finally Alexander let the covers around her drop and bundled her to him, holding her tightly. "What have you done?" He asked, his voice hardly more than a whisper, though it was clear in the now complete silence. When the elf began to speak, his hand shot out to wrap around her throat, cutting off her windpipe. "Did you think I wouldn't come for her? That I wouldn't find you?" He asked her, though she couldn't exactly answer him as her face began to turn blue. Suddenly she wasn't so pretty. ╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Finally falling to her knees after the elves had released her, her hand flew to her chin, and she rubbed it instinctively as some of the pain drifted away. She only had a moment before she was pulled into that all too familiar chest, and her heart calmed. Her eyes fluttered shut and her chest heaved in relief. Danny felt her body release the pressure that had been building up, and as she let herself relax, she felt Alexander tense. Her dark eyes opened, followed his other arm and quickly she lifted her hand towards his hand in protest, seeing the elegant woman's face change color. "Alex-" she began to say, but her voice had let out before she could finish; she blamed it on all the screaming. She tried reaching towards his arm but his iron hold on her was even tighter than the woman's grip had been on her chin, and she ended up gripping his shirt. "Alex... Alexander, please. Stop!" she tried to say, her eyes letting her tears fall as she witnessed the same woman who struck fear in her heart began to seemingly shrivel in front of her. She let out an exasperated cough, "Alex!" was all her weak voice said, apparently loud enough to pierce the silent clearing they now stood in. Softly she let out what sounded like a whimper, which must have been a combination of a cry and saddened moan.
She pulled herself up, her knees wobbling, her hand reaching for his arm, and gripping it tightly as she tried to get his attention. ━━━━━━━━ × ━ × ━ × ━━━━━━━━ Who am I with ? -- Elves and Alexander

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander glanced at Danny when she grabbed his arm. He relaxed then and released the elf, who fell to her knees gasping, and instead wrapped his arms around Danny to keep her standing. "Are you harmed?" He asked, his voice hushed and urgent. He tipped her face up to look into her eyes, his own reverting back to their usual color as he did so. They were clear, though they were swimming with tears. He glared down at the elf, who had gone back to her normal color. She panted at him and disappeared as he stooped quickly to retrieve Danny's blankets. He draped them around her loosely before scooping her up, though this time he put her arms around his shoulders and lifted her under her legs like a child. He stroked her hair as he turned to take her out of the forest. "It's alright Danny, you are safe now." He murmured as he walked.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

She wiped some tears away, but just as quickly, the woman was gone. She was gently turned towards Alexander then, and she didn't answer, though she let herself blink away a few more tears. As she was picked up, Danny let her head fall into the crook of Alexander's neck, and her small sobs turned into long, quiet breaths with every step he took. "Alexander..." she said, not so much to call out to him, but more in a way just to say his name, to let his name roll off her tongue. Her arms tightened around his neck, her mind confirming that this was the real thing, that she was safe now. Her hair fell over her face now as they walked, and her breathing was shallow, but there. ━━━━━━━━ × ━ × ━ × ━━━━━━━━ Who am I with ? -- Alexander

He leaned his head to the side, against hers. He walked like that for a time until he realized he wasn't heading for her house but rather the shop. It was for the best he supposed, he couldn't bear the thought of leaving her alone that night anyway. Still... "I'm going to take you to the shop, okay?" He said gently as the trees began to thin. "I don't want to leave you alone tonight." He said, turning his head to rest his face in the crook of her neck as she had his.

"Okay," she said, letting her head move up a little. A few moments passed after his last words, and a small smile moved across Danny's lips before she spoke herself. "I knew you'd come find me," she said, barely a whisper, her mouth right below his ear. Her forehead rested in the niche where his neck met his shoulder, and she let her eyes remain shut. ╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander sighed some as he heard her. "It...it shouldn't have happened in the first place." He said, picking up his pace after getting her okay. Within moments he could see the shop. "I never expected they'd take you from your bed, but I should have, and I am so very sorry that this happened to you, Danny." He said, the guilt in his voice obvious as he stepped up onto the shops porch and pushed the door open. He didn't get the chance to say more as they were pelted with a small, red ball of fur. Rasiel tried to jump into Alexander's arms without thinking and only succeeded in smacking into Danny's back. He landed on his feet and began to race around Alexander's in circles before jumping to claw his way up Alexander's back to sniff at Danny's face. "She's safe, but I don't think she wants you in her face right now, Rasiel." Alexander said, getting a better hold on Danny with one arm before reaching back and removing the worried fox, who emitted a low and sorrowful whine as he was placed on the counter to prance nervously.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Lifting up her head a little, her eyes gazed down quickly to see Rasiel scurry up into her face. The corners of her mouth turned up in a grin, but she let her eyes close and head fall onto Alexander's shoulder again as he took Rasiel off. "Alexander, everything's okay now," she said, her mind shifting back to the guilt she had heard in his voice.
