Shayne's smile faded and he looked up at the cieling,
lying back beside Dante.
"... Well, Dakurrai always told me that we may all
look strangely, but if others were too blind to
see what was inside, they were the strangers..." He said.
"... and he said that was never going to change...
Of course, I was too young to understand what he
meant, but I think, in a way, I'm a stranger..."

Shayne turned his head as well, looking back into Dante's eyes.
"... Ever since you all arrived here... all I've seen are smiles
and hear you all laugh and such when talking to
eachother... Even though we've all had hard pasts...
Anastasia was in an asylum, and today she can play
and tell jokes and laugh like others... Dakurrai has had
a hard past with me, and even he can smile and laugh...
You have a sorrow in you, and even when I can't tell
why, I know you must have been the same way... and yet,
you're able to smile and laugh here and there every day..." He said.
"... How is it possible... that all of you can find a way to
be so happy... despite the lives you have led and the fate
you have been given...?"

Dante Greyson Alucard Dante sighed and thought about it. Then images passed through his head, moving slow at first, then picking up speed. [In Dante's head] An image of Azrael, Rachel, William, his younger form, his mother, and his father stopped. One by one, each family member disapeared, until only little, 7 year-old Dante remained. Dante balled his hands up and started trying to wipe the tears from his eyes. [Outside world] Dante stared at the ceiling of Shayne's room. "Because..." [Back in his noggin!] Younger Dante was still wiping tears from his eyes, when more figures came into view. Lucifer, Asmo, Levi, Drocell, Feli, Cell; even Ana, Shayne, Dakurrai, Hanubasa, and Belvor came into view. [Outside] Dante smiled, still looking up at the ceiling "I can find a way to be happy beacause..." he trailed off. Tears started dripping from his eyes, but they weren't tears of sadness. "I have you guys," Dante said, finishing his thought, "We're all one, big family."

Shayne's eyes widened a bit, and he thought about it, imagining
them all in the place of his own family. His gaze softened, and he
looked back up at the cieling as well.
"... Family..." He repeated softly."... The only people I knew as family
before today, dissapeared... When I think family, it's all
betrayal and lies..... But you actually think of me as... family...?"

without saying 'sir' for the first time since he had come here.

Dante Greyson Alucard Dante was sort of surprised when Shayne smiled at him, but he didn't show it. He kept smiling and said, "Your welcome, Shayne."
