"Victoria came to the dorm awhile back and mentioned it. He had just looked horrified..." Rae muttered, voice almost sad. She hated knowing her love had a side of him that he couldn't stand. Rae didn't fear that side, though. She didn't know enough about to be afraid, despite the warnings.

╔Ϣαӄɩʏα Șυӄα Țαєɱѳη╗ Thunderbird ⊰══════════════⊱ Handle bars, and then I let go, let go for anyone Take me in, and throw out my heart and get a new one Next thing we're touching You look at me it's like you hit me with lightning ══════════════╗ Suka only nodded, hardly remembering the woman. "It's not exactly the kind of thing that you could see and be calm about for the rest of your life." The thought of seeing Lysander in that form again terrified Suka. Though she was pretty sure that thing wouldn't hurt her (since it had been used to protect her at one point), you could never been too sure about that kind of power.
After some time, the little cafe came into sight. Just as Suka had predicted, only two people were there. Which was good, since they seemed more fixated on the news than their own food. A content sigh escaped Suka's lips, though it was more a relief than anything; at this point they could move on to a different topic. Suka opened the door, walking in but making sure Rae was through before letting it close. "I don't care where we sit, but preferably in a corner. People don't look in corners, and I have a bad feeling we might be here longer than expected." Suka glanced behind them, stealing a glance at a group of three boys. Luckily they hadn't noticed the young women and they didn't show any sign of going anywhere. ╚══════════════ So we burst into colors, colors and carousels, Fall head first like paper planes in playground games Next thing we're touching You look at me it's like you hit me with lightning

Rae raised a brow as Suka said she'd prefer a corner booth. "Um... okay," she said, moving to the farthest corner in the cafe and taking a seat. She wasn't sure what her friend was so nervous about, but Rae figured she'd amuse her.

Moments later she yawned, rubbing her eyes. "We have a lot of time to mess around town for a while, so what do you want to do after this?" Suka stretched out her arms, her hair falling from her shoulders and resting on her back. "If you can't think of something, then I'll find something to do."

"I don't really know what's around town," Rae said with a small shrug, thanking a waitress as she came and handed each of them menus and asked for a drink order. She asked just for a glass of water before moving her forest green eyes to the menu. Already all thoughts of Lysander's third side were gone from her mind. Today was a fun day. Just Rae and Suka. And it had been so long since they'd gotten to simply hang out, and hopefully the boys would be doing the same. Assuming Meliah stayed away from everyone and Jerom was still wanting to spend time with his son.

She tapped a few things, then sighed. "Well, I don't really want to go to the beach, and the only other thing to do around here is hiking and zip-lining." Suka laughed evilly, thinking about forcing Rae into zip-lining but quickly decided against it. Though it would be fun, she wasn't sure is Rae wanted to drop off a cliff and hope the rope didn't come out of the rock. "Shopping is out of the question, and I don't feel like going to another club. It is just you and me and we both attract too much attention alone." Suka laughed quietly, setting the iPhone down. "We'll find something."

I don't attract attention," Rae murmured with a small frown, glancing as though to make sure there was no one looking her way. "But I'm willing to do about anything. Though I've never done zip-lining before..." she said with a shrug. The girl was willing to try, though was certain she would be terrified once sliding on nothing more than a cord with a harness.

"Rae, for the love of the Gods you attract attention. A lot of attention actually." Suka picked up the iPhone, setting it back into her shoulder bag. "I don't feel like jumping off cliffs today, so I propose we find a park or something and lie around." It wasn't much of a plan, but lying around and talking seemed like the best thing they could do for the moment.

"Do not," Rae protested with a small laugh. "And a park actually sounds pretty fun." A moment later the waitress returned, asking for their orders. The werefox asked for some strangely named meal, likely after the owners of the cafe. But it had a lot of meat, and that was really all Rae had been focused on.

She had only grazed the menu, but she had found something small to keep her occupied. Suka didn't eat a lot, and this was more out of habit than anything. She ordered something that had a Brazilian name, and it might have sounded like a slur to Rae. Suka could speak fifteen languages, including Spanish and four of the languages of South America. Of course she was far too lazy to know the proper names of the languages, but she was good enough to speak them. "That's good, because we're going to the park whether you like it or not."

"A fox will never complain about a park," she claimed with a wide smile as the waitress walked away. Rae stretched back in her chair happily, already completely forgetting the presence of the other diners. Not that it would have affected her behavior any.

"Yes Rae." Suka herself relaxed, resting her arms on the table. There must be some topic in the world that was worth coversation. The Thunderbird wasn't good at making conversation, and anyone that knew Suka like the few friends she had, would understand that they would have to be the ones to start the conversations. Otherwise then, Suka was wonderful at keeping a conversation friendly and interesting.

Rae grinned, glancing out the window. "So... another kid, eh? Are you nervous? It smells more siren than Tara ever did," she said, glancing back to Suka. She propped her chin up with her palm, elbow on the table. She couldn't imagine what it was like to be pregnant. Rae had gotten lucky with Trescot, she supposed. Though the whole multiple mothers and fathers aspect still tore her apart. Not that she would ever let it show. She knew that not only angered Suka but also hurt Trescot, and he had already had a rough life.

Suka rubbed her head, nodding. "It's a Siren without a doubt. If it were Avian, it would have been born. I suspet it would be a full term thing, which I'm both grateful and angry for." A long sigh came as Suka leaned back in her chair, setting one hand in her lap and the other rested on the table. "I really didn't want another child. Tara is a handful as is."

"She can't be that bad," Rae said with a smile. She had never thought of Tara as a handful. Or even Trescot. But then again Tara lived with Suka, and half the time when Trescot was upset he would disappear to go see "mama". Yet another thing that pained her when it came to the young demon. Rae knew it was probably selfish to think that way, but it wasn't something she could really help.
