As Mingan watches some other students wander in and out of the classroom a newcomer catches his attention. It appeared to be a young boy around his age with golden hair. Judging from the look on his face the young man looked new as well. feeling a bit bored and a little lonely Mingan decided to go over and say hi. Maybe he could make a new friend today, he had never had a friend before...come to think of it he really had nothing to call his own in the village he ran from. Making up his mind Mingan wanders over to the young man.

"Hello there, how are you? I just transferred to this school. The names Mingan, How ya doing?"

Mingan wanted to come off sounding friendly and relaxed. Trouble was his rather sharp canines and yellow eyes with his white hair tended to put off most people. The word demon was often thrown at him.

Mingan laughed a bit at the map joke, it was a nice laugh even by his standards. It was warm and sounded like you could trust him with anything and not care. He understood how easy it was to get lost in such a huge place. Luckily though Mingan had a wonderful sense of direction and could normally (by accident) find the place he needed to or had to get too. Mingan still hadn't removed his own pack from his back. He felt more comfortable with it on his back. Smiling at his new acquaintance Mingan shook the hand that was offered to him and spoke again.

"Well in any case we are both here and in one piece. I hope this is the right room though. I applied to be something called a Meister, I heard we get a unique type of living weapon. Would you know anything of this?"

It took Mingan a few seconds to register what he had just seen. This must have been what they meant by a living weapon, a person who could at will turn into a weapon to assist its master in times of need. Mingan was very tempted to touch the blade arm to make sure it was real, but he figured it would be kind of rude. He noticed the young man seemed to be very proud of his ability, and Mingan with all his own gifts couldn't blame the lad. It was very impressive indeed. Mingan placed a hand on his chest and did a small bow from his waist in a form of greeting.

"Well then Sir Pendragon, it a a pleasure to meet your acquaintance. I was wondering what they meant by 'living weapons' now I know. I assume meisters and weapons get partnered up eventually. zdo you know how that happens?"

This was how Mingan spoke, very polite and precise. He was very curious about this young man and his weapon ability. As Mingan looked on in polite interest a flicker of darkness forms on his right shoulder and vanishes.

Mingan blinked in surprise at this new information, meisters and weapons could choose their partners? Mingan thought hard about it and his childhood. He was more at home with a blade or a long range weapon. Growing up in isolation he had plenty of time to practice his swordsmanship and archery. Further more his abilities were more at home with bladed weapons, and it seemed this boy didn't have a meister already...maybe he could bring up the subject. After all Lysander's personality seemed to go well with Mingan's.

"So uh, Lysander do you have a meister yet? How would you know your suited for someone at a glance or by talking with them?"

As Mingan spoke a wisp of light formed briefly around him and quickly vanished. The high amounts of magic in the school was starting to manifest his own powers more visibly.

Mingan Felt the mood change drastically as Lysander spoke. It would seem he had a troublesome past as well. Mingan felt the sadness and it stirred up his own painful past...And this time the shadows embraced him. The darkness wrapped around his arms and legs as he thought of his past. But he also remembered his mother, his twin brothers and his acceptance to this school. The darkness left and Mingan began to glow faintly with a pure light. Seeming not to notice this Mingan spoke to Lysander.

"I am sorry if I have caused you some distress, it was not my intention. To be honest I am just as lost, all this meister and weapon stuff is new to me. If I might however propose an idea? Would it be possible for us to be partners, I mean you know to see if we are compatible? If you dont want to though I can perfectly understand. You hardly know me...and wait...how would we test to see if we were compatible? Is there a facility on this campus to help?"

blue]Mingan widens his own eyes in confusion. What was what? What was going on? But of course as Mingan looked to see what was happening to his body to freak out his new acquaintance the aura went away. Mingan saw nothing wrong and looked up at Lysander in confusion. Hopes of making a new friend were fading very fast from Mingan's mind. Come to think of it this was exactly how the Elder treated Mingan too, was he going to be shut away again? Was he going to be treated like a monster? Mingan slowly began to back away in suspicion now, He was not going back, never again!!

"Never again, never again..."
Mingan began to mutter these words fast under his breath, His eyes began to look like those of a scared child, but in his confused state no auras appeared yet.

Mingan quickly moves away a few feet and leans against a wall. Taking several slow and deep breathes he manages to control himself. Panting slightly Mingan holds up the hand that is not propping him against the wall. He uses it to show Lysander that he is ok. Nothing big just a mild panic attack from years of abuse. Nothing to out of the ordinary. Mingan spends a good five minutes calming himself down.
