It makes me a little nervous about potentially working directly with gods because well...back when I was Catholic that god seemed invisible no matter how badly I tried to talk to him. I get the feeling that if I show enough enthusiasm and promise, I might actually be able to talk to the gods and have them reply...but I have no idea who will reply and I just...gah.
I guess I'm just a little nervous about actually getting serious with this sort of stuff. But I suppose that's normal right?

I'd say that's pretty normal. My fear was never hearing from them and just feeling like I was going through the motions again.
When giving offerings, let them know your concerns. But make sure you know what you're getting in to. I don't know if you follow my secondary Tumblr but some of the stuff that's been happening lately I've been slowly wondering if I'm going insane. And some of this stuff is stuff that I've been wishing would happen and have been working towards for a while.

My fear is mostly fudging up somehow and accidentally offending someone and then having them refuse to talk to me. The last time I made an offering I did kinda tell whoever was listening that if I should stuff up, please point it out to me so I can rectify it.
On a slightly unrelated note, I've found a nursery that sells papyrus plants. Real, living Cyperus papyrus. This makes me all kinds of happy. I've been wanting to try and grow my own since I was little. So, my summer project is to create an oasis in the backyard.

All good - I did my own disappearing act. Convention season is now over (phew!) and last weekend was PAX Aus, three days of non-stop games and gaming related things. It was epic. And very tiring...

Sounds fun. I haven't been able to do much lately. Which kind of sucks. So I'm working on putting stuff together to finally start selling stuff. I'm almost-ish ready. I just need to start finding out how long it takes me to make the stuff but I'm missing some essential pieces. I ended up throwing out my cutting mats because they got all warped. And for the fabric stuff, I have no sewing machine or fabric. So I'm stuck with seeing how long my crocheting stuff will take and I wanted to save that for last because of how long that stuff takes.

Oh! I found another list of Egyptian terms. At some point I'll be adding them to here. I need to write them down first so I'm not adding duplicate terms. And so I have them somewhere for me when I need them again.
I've also found more articles that can fluff out some that I already have written. I'm thinking about putting out a survey for which deities everyone would like to see articles on.
I've also been reading a little bit of Circle of the Sun. Oh I need to take notes so I can write up a big long review.

...and I'm back! Sorry for the sudden absence, I went to New Zealand for a geology field trip. It was really quite lovely over there, though I don't think Rha liked the group of students I was with as he only really made his presence known to me a couple of times while over there. It makes sense though, I had to keep hopping between the vehicles because I was being frustrated by all the students - mixing three different year levels is not really the greatest idea. It was a pretty damn good trip though. I'll put up some photos on Tumblr in a little bit.

I have not completely disappeared. Stuff and things. I need to find where I put that list of terms and I bought a book not that long ago that will help with the skin topic we had. I didn't get through Circle of the Sun though. Other reading took priority. I'm winding down from that so hopefully I remember to post and update stuff.
