(Critical rolls, if you roll a 20 you gain +1 to add to your accuracy for the turn in which it was used. In this case, it would be a +1 to all defensive rolls, and in contrast, if a roll of a 1 is rolled, a fumble, your accuracy roll will be reduced by 1)
It would work as the Scyther's scythe would miss by inches. The pokemon's wings would flutter swiftly as they come to a stop. He would turn to see that the Deino was safe as he would cross his own scythe in a defensive stance. It would seem that it was now ....Dreiden's turn to attack.

Doug began calculating again, surprised that his plan actually worked. "Ok... Dreiden, Tackle it under it's elbows. Like an uppercut." The boy explained and watched his Pokemon run toward the Scyther. The intention of the attack would be that the Deino would lower his head, get in close range of the Bug-type and jump; effectively hitting the Pokemon's stomach and knocking the wind out of it. Hopefully, Doug's plan would work.

The attack would hit ...but the Scyther was much sturdier than either plan as he didn't move. The tackle wouldn't even seem to get scratch his hard exoskeleton as he smiled. Now that his opponent so up close he didn't need to race forward as he would simply move his scythes once ...so fast that his opponent almost couldn't see it as he used quick attack again.
Each strike would send a red slash of pain on the Deino if the pokemon wasn't able to dodge the incoming attack.

Doug wasn't fast enough with his calculations or the order he'd have to give. Dreiden, however would move slow, like a Slakoth; his head shifting down. To his trainer, it was like being forced to watch something in slow motion. The boy fought the urge to close his eyes, bite his lip and gasp as Dreiden began lowering his head.

Even as slow as he moved, everything when sped up would be something truly fantastic to watch as those Scythe missed their target both times. The quick attack seemed to have failed as the pokemon totter on his feet as he tried to figure out what to do next ....as he rolls once to try and put some distances between them. Standing back up on his feet he would turn and bring his scythes together in another defensive stance.
It was so far a battle of avoidance with neither side getting a real hit in.

Doug could only repeat the same instructions again for the Deino. Tackle under the elbows in hopes of hitting it's stomach. Dreiden ran much faster than he had the first time and lowered his head. The hair like covering over his eyes moves for a second so that Dreiden can see where he is. Perfect. Just in front of the Scyther. Another two steps and a head raise and the Bug Pokemon may be hit by the attack.

(13 - 11 + 8 - 8 = 2dmg)
Finally an attack would cut through ....as the Scyther was sent off of his feet to collide heavily with the ground. The attack more sound than actual injury as he would roll back upon his feet, but there would be a bruise on his stomach.
ONe attack had managed to make it through, but that wouldn't be the last one. No, the scyther plan to pay that back with blood as this time his wings would spread open wide. The current of them flapping in reverse would start to bring in a vacuum even as the Scyther plans to slice his opponent open with his next attack as he would use ....Vacuum wave.
This was about to become quite a fearsome fight.

Doug smiled as the attack hit and watched as the Scyther hit the ground. A sigh of relief escaped the boy's lips but the battle wasn't over yet. He looked up when hearing a strange sound. The flapping of the bug Pokemon's wings were drawing in Dreiden, not pushing away. The trainer finally realized that this was an attack. "Dreiden, you need to get out of that vacuum pull. Turn and begin running as fast as you can; left and right. Zig zag. You need to stay away from that Pokemon." The trainer ordered and watched helplessly as the Deino turned and began running in the zig zag he was told to but was still getting pulled in; slowly.

(I forgot to do this early, but figuring out damage. To figure out damage for most attacks is pretty simple ...first you must identify whether the attack is physical(attack) or nonphysical (special attack). Then you subtract the two dice rolls to figure out the differences. In this case:
(17 -2 = 15
Then you figure out the differences between the two attacks, in this case it's sp. attack(yours) - sp. defense (mine)
7 - 7 = 0dmg)
(Which is 15, but thanks to a weakness it becomes 30, Which is negative -16 and your pokemon's dies. Sorry about that)
Though he tried, he would be pulled into the votex, and then the sound of shredding would be heard.
The attack would hit with a force that would spread the ground with wet blood ....scattered everywhere. The winds that sucked him in acted like a fan shredding and cutting, and what came out of the middle of it all was a huge glob of meat. But that meat would start to glow white as it forms into a egg. It would seem that was a result of the potion as it lay at his feet, black and purple.
The voice would chime in as a reddish light would come from the ceiling to recall the pokemon.
"It would seem that this battle is over. Please take your egg to the pokemon center, and return. For you have one more chance to prove yourself in the battle arena before other changes must be made."
The voice declares to him.
It seems she had just been dismissed.

((It's fine. It's actually been a while since I've RPed with your battle system so it's nice to get a refresher. I won't forget this time. Too bad he died but at least he's an egg! Weird Potion thingy FTW))
Doug couldn't believe his eyes. The Scyther actually tore his Deino to shreds. The only bonus was that his Pokemon was now an egg. The trainer nodded and sighed as he walked over to the egg, stepping in the blood that splattered and pooled under the egg. A drop would ripple in the puddle as he silently took his leave.

Doug gulped as he entered the room with Dreiden again. Both seemed to have determined looks on their faces. "I'm back and I'm ready." The trainer said stiffly. He shook his head briefly and reached into his white coat pocket. The pill bottle from before was revealed for a few seconds as the boy popped off the top, picked out and pill and popped it into his mouth. Swallowing, Doug placed the pill bottle back into his pocket, this time of his pants and faced forward.

The battle field would be waiting for him ...as the voice would declares lightly.
"Are you ready to battle now?"
It would asks as the ground type would appear in a flash of reddish light. It was a new fight and it would seem that this would be with a new pokemon as well as the Hippopotas snorted lightly. She was ready for her battle as she looks at them with a smug sense of satsification, because she would get her wish.

Doug and Dreiden both nodded. "Show 'em what your made of, Dreiden. Don't lose this time." The boy said happily, watching his Pokemon walk out onto the battle field. He tilted his head at the sight of the new Pokemon and smiled, as if to say hello. However when he nodded, his hair moved to reveal his glaring eyes so the friendly persona he appeared to show would be wasted as he intended to win this fight.

THis time, their speed would match and what that meant was that this time ...they both would attack as the voice would confirm such a mental thought.
"In the case where the speeds are the same both pokemon attack, and the winner goes on the defensive while the loser attacks again."
The voice spoke as the Hipopotas would charge forward with her head down in a tackle.

Dreiden and Doug both nodded as the trainer gave his order to charge. The Deino lowered his own head and, just as the command previous suggested, charged at his opponent. The attack would seem to be tackle and as Doug relayed the information to himself a few more times, he finally snapped back to reality just before the two Pokemon collided.
