Victoria woke up suddenly, hearing a knock at the door. She saw that it was one o'clock and she frowned. Dante was early. Nonetheless she got up slowly and went to the door, opening it. She knew that she looked horrible. She was still in her Pj's and her hair was disheveled. Embarrassed, she waved for him to come in and she quickly said that she would be back. She went back to her bedroom and threw on a faded pair of jeans and a the nicest shirt she had, which was pink and silky. She sighed and went to her bathroom, quickly running her comb through her hair and putting it into a tight bun. She only bothered to put some mascara and blush on. She did this all in about five minutes, wandering back to the living room. She waited for Dante to speak, hoping she looked at least halfway decent. She noticed the suit in his hand and frowned, confused.

"Sorry that I'm early." he said as he slouched in the couch. He noticed the quick change in appearance and gave Victoria a reassuring smile. He took everything out of his pockets and placed all of it on the coffee table. He picked up his suit and told Victoria that he would be right back. He wandered into the bathroom, and closed the door. He hung up the suit on the shower curtain rod. After getting undressed and putting on the undershirt that he had in the suit back, he began to take everything else out. He looked everything over. It was a pretty nice suit, but he didn't like it. He hated to dress up in nice clothes, since it was really who he was. He always felt fake when he put them on. He put on the satin red shirt and began to button it up, making sure nothing was wrinkled, and he tucked it in. After getting everything else one, except the jacket, he took out the gel. His hair was pretty long now, and so he slicked it back with some gel and ran a comb through it. He made sure every little piece was down before grabbing his jacket and walking out. In the hallway he put a few dabs of cologne on. He hadn't noticed how much time had passed during his prepping. He glanced at the clock above the counter and saw that it was now almost two. He walked over to the kitchen chair and hung his coat on it.
"Sorry that I took so long." he said as he sat down next to Victoria on the couch. He put his arm on the back of it and relaxed. After a few short minutes, Dante became uneasy, and didn't want to sit any longer. "Hey do you want to go for a ride? Maybe grab some food?" he said as he shifted in place.

Victoria waved off his apology with a shy smile and was somewhat glad that he was there early. She felt a bit more safe and this way she could tell he hadn't forgotten about her. She caught his own grin and looked away quickly, hoping that he didn't think she was trying too hard and show disgust. She became a bit confused when he got out all of his belongings in his pockets and put them on the coffee table before the couch. She glanced up at him and watched him go to the bathroom after he said he would be back. She sighed, went to the kitchen, and drank a small glass of water. She ran to her own bathroom, which was a walk-in in her bedroom. She was stupid to get two bathrooms in the apartment. She went in and grabbed her toothbrush, deciding to brush her teeth quickly. She did this and finished with some mouthwash. She walked back to the living room, sitting back down on the couch right when Dante came back in. She immediately blushed, embarrassed when she saw his nice suit and could smell his cologne. She was puzzled on why he had gotten dressed up, but she waited until he sat down beside her before saying quietly, "You look nice." She turned away from him, glancing down at her hands as they fumbled nervously. After a few minutes, she couldn't help but notice the silence and was about to try to attempt conversation when he spoke up. She listened and then the color came back into her cheeks fast. "I..Um..that sounds fine." She said it quickly, trying not to sound too desperate but inside was jumping with joy.

Dante perked up with excitement, most of which was for himself, and stood up quickly. He wasn't sure why he felt so anxious and full of energy, so he tried to calm himself down. He didn't ignore her compliment, because a smile grew across his face afterwards. He placed everything back into his pockets, and put his hand on his waist, opening up a spot for Victoria to lock arms in. He wasn't sure where they were going yet, but he would wing it, and find some where close to the house that he was looking at. "Where do you want to go?" he asked her.

Victoria laughed quietly when he grinned at her compliment and shot up from excitement. She blushed when he put opened a hole for her to put her arm through his own. She did so hesitantly, biting her lip until words flowed into her ears that were his. "Where..er.." She shrugged. "Wherever Dante. As long as we are together." She didn't mean it as a flirt, and honestly didn't realize it until after it was out of her mouth. Her cheeks flamed and she turned away from him, shyly walking to the door and fumbling with the doorknob for a moment before whipping it open fast.

Dante followed Victoria out of the door and closed it. He locked it for her and put his hand slightly back on his waist. The opening was there once again, but it wasn't as noticeable. He smiled at Victoria and fixed his suit jacket with his other hand. He gazed into her eyes and was caught up in the gleam that they put off. "Shall we go?" he asked slyly.

Victoria noticed his offer spark up once again, but she was too embarrassed and shy to take it up this time. She took a small step backward to show that she refused, but smiled at him to reassure that he didn't do anything wrong. She giggled when she noticed the shyness of his words. She nodded quickly. "Yes, Dante. Let's go have fun." She grinned, joy filling her insides as she saw him still gazing at her.

After Dante had placed his hands in his pockets, he started to walk down the steps slowly, so that it wouldn't seem like he was hurrying. He reached the bottom of the steps and opened the door, as a burst of sunlight came through the new opening. The sun had became brighter since he was last outside, and he checked for his sunglasses, but came out empty handed. The parking lot was bare except for a few scattered cars, which made it easier to locate where he had parked, since he forgot where his car actually was. He caught sight of his car and walked towards it. He unlocked the passenger side door for Victoria and opened it as he got into his side. When he started it, the radio began to blare music that was full of loud crashing of instruments, and he immediately turned it down. He nervously smiled at Victoria and apologized for the near deafening mishap. He took out his phone and browsed a list of small restaurants in the area of his potential new house. He found a place that was more of a fast food joint, and put the gps marker on it. By the name of the streets and are that it was in, he could tell it was the upper-class part of town, which he felt he didn't belong in. His attitude, style, and actions were the total opposite of what you would find in those neighborhoods, and his initial thoughts of the people were that they were rich snobby assholes. He waited for Victoria to close her door before he began to drive. As he headed along the path that the gps took them on, he asked Victoria a question about the neighborhood that they were going to, "So have you ever been to Eastern Heights before?"

Victoria frowned after him when she saw him put his hands in his pockets and she sighed, feeling bad for her refusal. She tried to shake it off and followed after him quickly, blinking hard when the sunlight hit her fast once they opened the door leading to the parking lot. She thanked him quietly when he opened the door for her and she got inside slowly, making sure not to bump her head on the low ceiling of the car. She waited as he started it, and she gasped when the music coming from the speakers almost deafened her. She winced even after he turned it off, and and she forced a smile to him as she said quietly, "It's alright." She laughed along with him, but it sounded more shocked then happy. She turned to him slowly in the seat and watched him scan his phone for restaurants they could attend for lunch/dinner. Victoria noticed her car door hadn't been shut and she did so quickly, flushing a bit from her stupidity. She was surprised when he spoke, and she shook her head at his question immediately. "No, not really." I haven't been anywhere like that, she thought sadly. From what she had heard, it was a nice neighborhood where the richer residents lived. She didn't belong there or could even come close to affording it. She sighed, trying to not ruin the date by her pathetic sounds. She took a breath before asking, "Have you been there?"

{Well haven't I just been out of the damn loop? XD So uh......just try to work with this.} "What the hell is he doing?" Aria quietly screamed. "He and Dr. Jacobs have an agreement..apparently." Aria sighed and headed back to Daren's room. He was about to be discharged also, and so Aria had wanted to let Dante and Victoria know. She silently muttered as she walked to the elevator. "Jackass. Can't even text anyone.." The doors opened and she stepped inside. Luckily it was empty so she didn't have to worry about her space issues. She got off and walked through the maze of hallways until she reached Daren's room. The nurses were doing last minute tests and so Aria silently waited outside the door.

Dante looked over the back of Victoria's seat before switching lanes. After he got over into the other lane he spoke. "I've been to a few parties there." he was interrupted by the gps chiming in. Turn right in point three miles Dante hurriedly put on his blinker. He hadn't been paying attention to the gps since he was talking and daydreaming. He slowed down to take the turn. "The style there doesn't really fit my taste, so I never went back." Dante looked at the gps to see when the next turn was coming up. The houses and buildings were slowly becoming nicer and less run down as he drove. It was a sure sign that they were getting close. "If it wasn't for my mom then I never would have thought to live here. She thinks the environment will have a positive influence on me." Dante chuckled a little bit at the idea. He could be around the richest of the rich or the poorest of the poor, and he still would be the same person that he had always been. Dante slowed down as the speed limit had reduced. He turned onto the last street and past a sign.
Now entering Eastern Heights
They were still on the outskirts but it wouldn't be long until they got to the center of the small suburb. He had rumors about the town from his friends. Some stating that the suburb looked like a town out of a movie. How the landscape was so beautiful that it looked almost fake. How the size of the houses could fit one of theirs inside of it. Dante always figured the rumors were false. He couldn't picture such a big difference happening just by driving twenty minutes down the road. But it could be true. When Dante went to the parties it was always on the outskirts, and those house were magnificent. He knew that where they were going was smack dab in the middle of the whole thing, so he began to expect anything.

Victoria took a deep breath and listened to him, shaking a little when he said he had been there before. She bit her lip to keep from sighing once again and turned her head to the window to look out. She froze when he mentioned that he was getting a house here. "Dante.." She trailed off, surprised. If he was getting one here..then she had to refuse his offer of letting her stay. She tried to keep the tears back. What had she expected? He had more money than her whole family had put together, even when they were alive, and she had none. She would never fit in here. Her thoughts were confirmed when the landscape drastically changed and she noticed the houses become a lot bigger, the lawns cut neatly and no litter everywhere, and even paved streets instead of some of the dusty/rocky roads that they had back around the apartments. She narrowed her eyes and shook her head. No matter how much he denied it, he would change. Dante would change and become self-satisfied in his surroundings, and become a self-concentrated jerk that only thought about money. She didn't realize the salty tears that were running down her face, and she quickly turned so he wouldn't see them. She gritted her teeth and felt them stop suddenly, and she wiped her eyes. Victoria could now see the sign that was welcoming them into Eastern Heights. She rolled her eyes and bit her nails from nervousness. She would never fit in here...she looked down at her one good dress that had looked so perfect on her earlier; which looked drab and run down now. "Dante, how..what about just..maybe we should just go somewhere else for lunch." She said it quietly, so her voice wouldn't break, and she cleared her throat. Daren sighed, watching the doctor as he ran the last tests on him. He was fully awake now, the pain medication out of his system. He closed his eyes and waited for Aria to come back. When she did, she looked pissed. He sat up and raised an eyebrow, opening his mouth and then closing it. He noticed how she looked angry, which made her look strikingly beautiful. He cleared his throat and flushed at the thought. "W-What's wrong?" He stuttered, nervous now.

Dante looked over when Victoria started to stumble for words. Tears were running down her cheek and he was confused. He pulled off onto a side street and stopped along the curb. He put the car in park and took off his seat belt. "Is something wrong?" He looked around at his surroundings a bit to maybe catch a glimpse at something that upset her. All he saw was large houses and nearly perfect lawns. Nothing was out of place nor was there any sign of disturbance anywhere. It all looked fake to him. "This place is sickening." Dante said quietly as he turned his attention back to Victoria. He gently grabbed her hand and held it. "What's wrong?" his voice was low and soft.

Aria jumped as Daren's voice pulled her away from her thoughts. "It's nothing. Victoria and Dante left without us, so we're on our own." She let out a small laugh and waited for the doctor to leave. After giving Daren a few instructions, he made his way to the nurses desk to fill out Daren's forms. It was then that Aria remembered Daren had parents that cared about were he was. "OMG Daren did you call your parents and tell them what happened? They're gonna kill you!"

Victoria watched him pull over and wanted to stop him, but she decided it was probably better that way instead of trying to talk and look at her while he was driving. She took off her seat belt as well, and bit her lip when he asked her what the matter was. Before she could answer, she was surprised by his next words, and she glanced at him, hoping he didn't notice her eyes were a bit puffy from crying. She had noticed that he said them quietly, as if some perfect being from around here was going to come and chew him out. She flushed when he took her hand, and she gently squeezed his, glancing up at him to show her appreciation to him of stopping. "It's just." She paused, not knowing how to word it without sounding like she was bagging on the "perfect human beings" of Eastern Heights. She bit her lip and said it quietly, like he had just seconds ago. "I just don't want to go in. And if you buy a house here, you'll change. And I don't want to be friends with a self-concentrated jerk that only cares about money!" She began talking faster, not caring that the tears had began streaming down her face once more. "Your going to get worse and worse until one day your heart is so cold you'll throw me out and won't care. You'll just throw me out on the streets like everyone else does! These people here are horrible! You can't do this to me, Dante!" She was almost sobbing now, and she pulled her hand out of his to bury her face in her hands. "Please. Dante, don't move here. Don't. You'll change." She took a breath, and let it out slowly, turning away from him and to the window. She rested her hand on the knob so she could open the door if she needed to, and run. Just run away to somewhere else. Anywhere but this sickening place where everything was pretty and nothing was out of place. She hated it. Hated it. Daren heard the instructions from the doctor and frowned when he heard that Dante and Victoria had already left. He shrugged. They could walk. He walked behind Aria and waited, still confused on exactly what he needed to do. He met her eyes when she spoke of his parents. "My dad won't care as long as I'm not dead, but my mom will kill me. It really doesn't matter though." He ran a hand through his hair, signaling to screw the thought.
