SorceressJacklyn Yeah I get the feeling it'll be "conform to our plot or don't run your room" type of deal. This.

Epcot Illuminations that is how i fear it will turn out. Though I like what my room did last year and had the plot interactive to where it would change in our room depending on how the guests act and actions the guests take. I found that way to be more fun and keeps people who will rp, and will get less spammers in the room. Oh like make your own ending! I freaking love those. ♥ ^ I wanna do this with out room! D:

Like personally, I don't know my work schedule until the week before so during those hours I may have my character disappear and have a contest run or something in search of. So it will be like a riddle contest. Or I will go to the top floor of my mansion basically making people wonder what had happened, which then you get those people who try to get something out of little and they actually do get creative on ways to try to get my character to come down (they did last year atleast, as the other years I was a whole town, and I played villain. I seem to always get stuck with the villain except for last year. We will figure that out with the basic room plot. To keep the room interactive you still need to have a plot but a basic one that has two options depending on course of action of the guests.
You could have like let's say an ending where wrath starts to control his anger, but a second ending where Wrath just basically can't control his anger and tears down the whole place.

I think it's a good idea to keep our main room plot flexible, in case of emergency. I think it's also a good idea that we share the passwords to the cohost mules just in case. If we make mules. We'll make mules, right, and not use our main accounts?
Talking about a riddle contest, since chibi isn't really here anymore, what kind of games will we be doing? I fail at riddles, but will we be doing a random number contest? And I heard that tektek contests are really popular. Perhaps an art contest and a literature contest as well? Those worked pretty well in the Hades room last year.
Urgh, plot plot PLOOT!

I Think that maybe we can still do the riddle contest even without chibi here... If we ask polietly, we could. I love the tektek contest soooo much!!!! >.< I'm feeling iffy about the literarture contest... but i agree with you, PLOTTTT!!!!
Talking bout plot... I think we should have a solid but flexible plot, that we could get spell checked by chibi! (she said so...) and yeah...

Epcot Illuminations SorceressJacklyn We know but that problem is it's just Blissy and Angel talking back and forth now. The rest of the committee has been cut out of the equation. Isn't that quite the opposite of what the committees intentions were. The committees were made to give people the voice and not just 2 people working on something that will affect everyone. I say we need to either publicly work on the plot or have the committees dissolved. I don't like being left in the dark. Last year the plot committee was running until a week before the ball finalizing plot to fit all the room plots and doing final touch-ups, though a plot had been up for months before hand. I don't think it will be like that this time around, and personally I don't like it. I know. That's been bothering me too. xp I think I could handle delays a bit better if the plot were out in the open, and we could all see how much has been done and what still needs to be fixed before it's finalized. We haven't had any meebo meetings in a long time too. I completely understand how stressful the first semester of college can be, and how you barely have time to breathe if you accidentally overload yourself like I did my first semester, but I would really like to hear more from Angel than just the occasional announcement assuring us that the plot will be ready soon. @Spotted and Paradox - It makes me feel good to know that you think enough of me to keep talking about me and my skills. xd blaugh I can still help out in here if you need. I can help make riddles, but I can't be on riddle duty in this room. I was insanely swamped when I did it last time, and I don't think I could handle two rooms like that. Spell check/grammar check is quick and easy to do. 3nodding

I'll do it, if you don't mind... XD again, good luck in your room!

I'll do it, if you don't mind... XD again, good luck in your room! I have a feeling that many of the rooms are going to have very similar game formats, so I wouldn't be surprised if there are a couple other rooms that will also be doing riddles. Plus, it wasn't really my creative genius in the first place. And, it is actually kind of funny why I had riddle duty last time. I wasn't even supposed to be doing it. I was only supposed to help make the riddles. But, the other host in the room aside from Epcot (GreenInkling) found out that she was pregnant with her first child about a week before the ball. She was really ill, and she couldn't get on much, so I took over riddle duty for her. So, it ended up that I ran the riddles and I ran a random number game with progressive levels. I don't know how I did it, but somehow I did! I don't recommend anyone trying to do both at the same time on one account though. blaugh So, yeah... I guess that was my long way of saying that the idea of riddle games is public domain.

What about a "battle" contest? Create three "monsters" for everyone to fight by rolling a pair of dice and first 1-3 who beat the boss monster win a prize? I saw it in the "Save Modmas" thread/guild during the x-mas event and thought it was a cool idea.

Battle games are always fun! But, depending on how the plot goes, the story for the game mechanics would have to be changed. There might not even be any room for monsters in the plot. And, it's funny that you should mention Modmas! The creator of the thread, Uncle Kenny, is one of my friends. He is the captain of the first guild I ever joined on Gaia. He was only the vice captain when I joined that guild back in 2005, but he got promoted when the captain left. He's a good guy. biggrin

I have ran riddle contests in every room I have hosted, it is common to have in the ball room.

With the dice rolling I am going to have to do what my room had last year, a guild for during the ball where guests can participate in the contests that will encourage spam, like dice rolling contests, this way we can keep as much spam out of the main room as possible.
That is if it is okay with you guys as well.

That's fine with me. Though spam is sometimes good, upping the posts, there will be gazillions of people with gazillions of dice. Exactly gazillions. So yeah, I think it's a good idea.
