Foenix walked rather quickly toward the Centre. Nehanda was in a sulk over her inability to work in the gardens, and Foenix was hoping to find someone -anyone- at the Centre who might help snap the whisp out of her little funk. Looking over her shoulder, she saw that Nehanda was trailing listlessly behind, twirling and looping in the air, with a dissatisfied expression on her face.
"Come on, honey," Foenix said, a bit desperately. She opened the front door, and gestured for Nehanda to go in. True to her contrary mood, however, the whisp floated straight in through the wall, appearing abruptly in the Centre. Foenix sighed and looked around, then smiled gladly when she recognized Nyxa and her gryphon.
"Afternoon."

With a look of relief Nyxa spun around to greet Foenix, her eyes widening as she spotted what looked to be some sort of etheral being. She glanced down as if searching for Foenix's gryphon and then back up to the wisp, kind of putting two and two together. "Foenix, wow.. your little girl is growing up, huh?" It'd been so long since she'd seen Foenix and the little swan-horse Aerandir, Nehanda. "How've you been?"
Luc turned at the entrance of the two, peering up at the sullen-looking wisp with a chagrined expression. Never letting go of the flower, he tilted his head at the wisp and churred softly up at her.

Foenix kept her smile. "Oh, things have been pretty busy. It's good to see you again, though. How have you and that crew of yours been?" She moved over toward the nearest group of seats, intending to make herself comfortable.
Nehanda stopped in the middle of the room and stared down at the panther/cockeral gryphon. Narrowing her eyes, she tried to place him in her memory. Hadn't they met before? Her bad mood receeded, just a bit, and she lowered herself to the floor.
"Nehanda, don't you remember Lucius?" Foenix grinned and shrugged at Nyxa. "I guess she's been through a lot in the past week."

"Hectic is one way to put things," Nyxa smiled, "And it's good to see you too, it has been a long while." She gestured to Luc, who was busy staring at the wispy Nehanda, "And we've all been good, seeing lots of new faces around here." Nyxa followed Foenix, plopping down near her on a chair of her own.
Luc was transfixed by Nehanda. He didn't recognize her but she held a bit of familiarity nonetheless. He sat as she lowered herself to the floor, a questioning chirp squeaking past the flowerstem in his mouth.
Nyxa chuckled, "It's been a good long while since they've seen each other last, and Nehanda was still a little gryphon." She shook her head, "Luc never forgets a pretty face, though."

Foenix laughed at that statement. "So I've heard. He's really turning into quite the handsome boy! I doubt she's actually forgotten him, but Nehanda has been treating every single thing around her with skepticism lately." She looked over at the two little Aerandir. "This is a hard transition. It's a real pain that she can't touch anything."
Nehanda dropped to Lucius's level, and tilted her head toward him. "Lllll-cius?" She tried the name out, and struggled with the vowels. Shaking her head, she tried again. "Llluciussss." She pointed to herself, and said, " 'Handa."

Nyxa beamed, "Thank you. He's really quite a doll, I hope he doesn't become a heartbreaker later in life." Nyxa's expression changed and she nodded solemnly, "Yes, I can't even begin to imagine what Nehanda's going through. It's got to be rough for her."
Lucius was quite taken aback, head tilting to the side as the little wisp attempted to enunciate his name. He chirped in reply, recognizing his name, and rose to his feet and made a slow circle around her, never taking his eyes off of the little wisp.

Nehanda turned, keeping an eye on Lucius as he circled her. Her concentration was so focused upon the gryphon that she sank a bit into the floor. She really liked Lucius's glossy coat and flowing tail feathers, and she reached out and tried to stroke a finger down his tail. Of course, it didn't exactly work.
Foenix reached over and removed her knitting from her bag. "I think Lucius may actually be the only male Aerandir we've actually met so far. Isn't there one more male gryphon around?"

Ieyasu approached the centre with Osusuki in tow. The little gryphon was not, however, racing about ahead as he usually tended to do. Not that he didn't want to. With his left forepaw bandaged, he was forced to keep at a more reserved pace. Which was frustrating! Had he received a burn on anywhere else but the pads of his feet, he would have been fine - it wasn't like the burn was all that bad in itself. It just got a little painful trying to run on it. Unless he ran on three legs. And then.. it was hard. He had fallen on his face a few times because he didn't have his regular balance. Making his way over to the door, he stopped with his paw held in the air. Waiting for the door to be opened for him, he gave a loud call.
Shaking his head a little, Ieyasu smiled down at the Aerandir as he pushed open the door. The burn should be cleared up within the next few days, but it was obviously irritating the little gryphon at the moment. Getting him to sit still long enough to get his paw bandaged had been hard enough. He hadn't stopped wriggling at all. Hopefully he could find something to keep him occupied for the moment. Osu and boredom didn't mix well.
Allowing the gryphon to pass through the door before him, he then walked into the centre himself, shutting the door behind him.

Foenix looked up as an odd call came from outside the Center entrance. Moments later, a young man walked in, followed closely by what could only be an Aerandir gryphon. Oddly enough, its poor little paws were all bandaged. "Hi there," she called.
Nehanda looked up and saw strangers approaching. Uneasy, she sank farther into the floor. " 'Lo?" she ventured to say. Glancing toward her guardian, she saw that Foenix didn't appear at all nervous. So the strangers couldn't be dangerous, even if she didn't know them.

As he walked in, he recognised Lucius and Nyxa straight away. The other young woman looked familiar.. he vaguely remembered meeting her not long after he arrived on the island - she had the large swan Aerandir.. Foenix, wasn't it..? "Hey there." Offering them all a grin and a nod, he then noticed the wispy form near Lucius. It looked like a little humanoid.. but it was submerged into the floor. Then it spoke.
Staring at it with open curiousity for a moment, his smiled then returned and he replied. "Hi." As you do.
Luc!! Osu gave a delighted chirrup when he saw the other gryphon. Rushing over to his friend as quickly as he could (which resulted in a clumsy, ungainly three-legged shamble) he nudged at him with his head by way of greeting. Maybe he could stay for a while this time!
Then, he noticed Nehanda. Tilting his head, he turned to face the wisp. Chirruping, he sat back and tilted his head. Who, and what was this? He wanted to know!

Nehanda liked the look of this new gryphon. His long, agile neck was a great deal like her own had been. Floating up out of the floor, she reached out and waved at him. Looking down, she noticed that one of his paws was bandaged. "Oh," she murmured. "Hurt." Reaching out instinctively, she passed her hand through his leg.
How annoying.
Foenix smiled as Ieyasu replied to Nehanda's cautious greeting. "Afternoon," she welcomed him. "That's Nehanda there. she's currently in the whisp stage."

Osu chirped at Nehanda, standing up again. She looked strange - kind of like the smoke that came off the cooking pit - all see through and stuff. But he liked her, whatever she was. As she moved towards him, he expected to feel her touch. But then... she passed through his leg.
....Eh??
Staring at her curiously, he chirruped again. This was confusing. She could talk, like Ieyasu did, and she looked kinda like one of those humans... except not. But she could go through him?
Lifting his wings for a moment, he then folded them back again, before stretching his head towards Nehanda. He wanted to see if he could nudge her like he could with Lucius.
Ieyasu grinned. "Oh, I see. I wondered. I've only ever seen her once, and that was when she was still a gryphon. She's grown a good bit, that's for sure. That's amazing."
Pausing, he glanced at Osu, who was currently poking his beak at Nehanda. Figures. "I don't think you've met Osu yet, have you?"

Foenix shook her head. "I think I might have seen his feather and fluff . . . but this is the first time I've seen him. Osu's a very handsome young gryphon! Curious too, I'll bet."
Nehanda blinked as Osu's head passed right through her. Even though she didn't feel anything, it was still unnerving to watch as another individual pushed through her mist-like form.
Pointing to herself, she said, "Handa. Nice . . . you? Hi."

Nyxa idly flipped through a magazine, finding great interest in the book as 'Yasu came in. She coughed and sank further into the couch. It was so embarassing and she didn't even know why. Probably because every time she saw him she.. clean thoughts. Yes. Luc spotted Osu enter, but he was far too involved with the wisp to being a playful tussle. Canting his head to the side, Luc offered his pretty mum to the wisp, the mum that he'd picked earlier that day in the forest. He dropped it on the floor and used his beak to shuffle it closer to the pretty Nehanda.

((Wow! So pretty, Nyxa.))
Nehanda's attention was quickly regained as Lucius nudged something toward her. Looking down, a wide smile lit up her translucent little face as she saw the offered flower. It was such a lovely color! She reached down, and trailed her fingers through the blossom. Looking back up at Lucius, she clapped her hands. "Pretty! Thanks."
Caught up in her excitement, she leaned forward to kiss his cheek. When she passed through his beak, this time she didn't pull away and sulk. Instead, she moved back, and blew kisses in Lucius's direction. In fact, she was eager to spread her happiness, so she blew kisses toward Osu as well.
Foenix had to laugh. "It looks like your boys snapped Nehanda right out of her little funk! You have no idea how relieved I am," she said to Nyxa and Ieyasu.
