Aden, however, didn't have a way of noticing that. To him, it was as if the attack had no effect. "Nothing? Nidoran, get back, you're only going to get hurt on this one." Getting Nidoran out of there in a hurry, he let Raticate back out. He probably had the better chance on this one.
"Raticate, brace yourself! When it comes in, go for an attack yourself!" He called.

I watched the Xatu take flight. Thats the weird part, I thought, about those birds. The most excruciating of pain and they don't flinch, period. They do have their limits...hopefully, Aden would make that Xatu reach his. All it takes is just the right amount of damage. Perhaps this change of tactic he just pulled would do the job. "Alright, Xatu! Go!" The Xatu then went down into a dive and came down upon the Raticate like the green missile it started make itself out to be.

"Here we go again... now!" Aden called out, getting his Raticate to leap at the diving Xatu. With it going like that, it left only one option for attack. "Leave a mark! Sucker Punch!" A quick, sudden attack at that 'missile', that is. Though, in a way, it was a little of missile versus missile. He only hoped this wouldn't be in vain.

Darksol88 "Here we go again... now!" Aden called out, getting his Raticate to leap at the diving Xatu. With it going like that, it left only one option for attack. "Leave a mark! Sucker Punch!" A quick, sudden attack at that 'missile', that is. Though, in a way, it was a little of missile versus missile. He only hoped this wouldn't be in vain. The two 'missiles' crashed into each other, causing one big dust cloud erupt from the gym floor. Falkner and I immediately jumped out of the seats and up to the railing to get a closer look at the results of that catastrophic outcome. Granted, attacks like this was common place to the likes of us. That said, this was one of those fights that had us to the edge of our seat. From the cloud the Xatu bolted out the way it came from, getting some distance from where the impact was. Well thats the opposition...now where... I looked back towards the dust cloud...

A second or two would pass before Raticate was bounced out of the same cloud, a result of the crashing attacks. He seemed to land just fine, but after the efforts, fatigue was really starting to show. "W...what!? Raticate, can you keep going?" Aden asked, seeing what kind of situation he was in.
Despite a large part of the rat's mind screaming to stay out of this, he nodded. It wasn't something that Aden wanted to buy, but his mind was racing to figure something out quickly. He was probably going to need a bit of a gamble here. "Alright. Just be careful, though. Another hit's probably gonna be it. I'm surprised that one didn't."

I looked at the Xatu...I know damage has been done. It was apparent all over that bird after all of that. I'm not sure if these birds are not able to show pain or this bird is just not that tired yet. I can't say that I was all that familiar with the Xatu line. "Alright, I'd had enough of this." Jackie said. "Future Sight!" "Xaaaaattuuuuuu!" The Xatu's eyes went aglow. "Crap...Jackie's going to try to end this." I said. "It seems so." Falkner said.

But cause chaos, he had that Pokemon do. With a harsh rush at the Xatu, he made sure to lay as hard of a hit as he could.

When the Xatu finished fortelling the attack, it looked forward, only to see the large rat rush right for it and land a brutal blow upon it, sending it reeling back. Then finally, the one sound that may be music to Aden's ears... "XATTTUU!" The Xatu yelled out. That one really hit home somehow. It probably started to reach its limit after all of that. It got sent flying back and hit the ground. "Xatu! Hold on!" Jackie yelled out. "Come on, get up!" The Xatu managed to get back up on its feet, a little wobbly at that. "Try a Air Cutter!" He shouted. Once again, the Xatu's wings sprung open, unleashing a slicing gale towards the Raticate.

With him taking a defensive stance, low to the ground, the slicing gale was softened. If only a little. But it wouldn't take much longer at all.

While the Steel Wing may have hit its mark, the Quick Attack did as well. Both the rat and the bird were down and they weren't getting up. And only a moment later, the holy bolt of Future sight crashed down close by the two of them. Falkner and I stared in shock. Aden...and his Pokemon actually did it. "This match up is a draw!" The Ref announced. "Trainers! Recall your Pokemon and release your final one!" Unfortunately, he wasn't out of the woods. Aden still had Nidoran, and Jackie still had that Fearow. This...was going to be tight...

Aden just stood there for a few seconds, trying to take everything in. Raticate was out, but the results... did he actually get something going? He wasn't sure. It still wasn't over. He might've dodged a bullet, but he still had a drill to contend with.
"Alright, Raticate. You've done everything you could... thanks. Return, before you get hurt any more." He spoke up, recalling the rat. Having no choice in the matter, he let Nidoran out for the last time. "I'll try not to let him go through that again. Come on, Nidoran,"

Jackie was not all that amused. Aden actually downed the one bird that he was counting on to get him through this fight. Not to mention, it was his most prized bird what got him most. Jackie recalled his fallen Xatu. "Take a rest friend. This will not end like that." He said, looking back up towards Aden. "Go! Fearow! Take flight!" He shouted, releasing the Fearow back out for battle. "The conclusion of this battle will be between Nidoran and Fearow! Begin!" The ref shouted.

"I'm not letting it end like that for me either! Nidoran, Flatter!" Aden called. Time for a different change in tactics, with Nidoran trying to actually compliment Fearow for once. That beak did look especially sharp...
