IRL Stuff: I am a 21 year old Reform Jew Gal from the south suburbs of Chicago. I have an acerbic sense of humor and I am a bleeding heart liberal. If you're genuinely interested in learning more about me, check out my blog.Gaia Info: I apparently am a masochist, because I continue to post advice in the LI. I also enjoy laying down the verbal smackdowns in the GD. I'm a roleplayer, but only in PMs. No threads allowed. Occupation: Toddler Tamer. Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy the Internet, pen and paper roleplaying games, video games, the Cthulhu Mythos, and nerd s**t in general. Favorites: The writing of Howard Phillips Lovecraft, the music of the Dresden Dolls, the political sensibility of Barack Obama, and the comedic stylings of George Carlin.

Hi, my name is Geula, and I'm a orthodox Jew from Oregon. I'm new to Gaia, but the first thing I looked for was a Jewish guild. Glad I found it!

darkphoenix1247 Lovecraft: Anywhere near Skokie? That's where my parents grew up and where my grandparents live! Oh yeah. I'm about an hour from Skokie. Not near enough that I go to synagogue up there (too far to make that kind of drive every Friday night!), but I like to go shopping at the import stores up there and they have a great performing arts center.

I want to learn Japanese and improve on the languages I already know, though. You? English is also my first language, Latin decently (but far from fluently), a bit of Hebrew (though hardly anything), and a few phrases in Spanish, French, German, and Japanese. So basically just English. xp I'm hopefully taking Hebrew in college, though! ^^
