Tai stood at the edge of the lake, hands posed in the correct symbol for the henge no jutsu. He concentrated as hard as he could, doing exactly what his teacher had taught him to do, but to no avail. He became quickly frustrated at his inability to do something so simple as a basic ninjutsu. He finally ended up giving up on his goal when he couldn't even feel the chakra begin to form around him like his sensei had described to his class.
He sat on the ground, contemplating what he should do about it. He thought to himself whether or not it was just something about him, or whether it was just a problem with misunderstanding what his teacher had said. He palmed his face softly, letting a groan of disappointment escape his lips. "What do I have to do to learn such an elementary technique? Everyone else did it so easily."
Tai stood once more, fire in his eyes as he took the proper hand seal. "Okay Tai, you know what you're doing, you listened, and studied. This will be a piece of cake." He concentrated, trying his best to separate his his chakra into the proper mold, to cover himself so that he can change his appearance into whatever he wished. He couldn't feel his energy taking form at all, and with another disappointing groan he gave in. "Maybe i'll have better luck with the Bunshin..."

Tai decided to give it a rest, if he couldn't excel at ninjutsu, he's be the greatest taijutsu specialist the world had ever known. He began to envision around himself several faceless ninja, and as they all came running at him full force, he saw them throw kick after kick. He thought quickly, and as each leg came into the correct area for the perfect counter attack, he snapped his knee up, and his elbow down, catching the leg directly on the bone. in his mind he heard the bone snap so clearly in his ears. At that very moment, he grinned wide. This was his calling, he was to be one of konoha's great fighters.

Tai felt the sweat bead off of his brow. He was unable to stop now, caught in the adrenaline of what he had stumbled upon. This lust for fighting was burning bright inside of him, and it drove him to keep training with everything he had. He ran to the training dummy and began to unleash a flurry of kicks and punches, dodging and weaving all the while as though the dummy was attacking back just as hard. He threw a powerful roundhouse, skimming over the top of the dummies head as though it had dodged the kick itself. With an overconfident smirk, he snapped his leg back, the crack caused by the impact could be heard echoing throughout the training ground. "Dodge that, punk."

After cracking the dummy as hard as he could, his mind flashed back to a moment that he had observed when he was younger. As a child he had watched the hokage, A master of the Hachimon tonkou demonstrate his technique. He had recalled a technique that he used to keep back several of his opponents. The technique itself even managed to take one off of his feet. Tai bent his knees and slammed his hand on the ground, spinning on the hand while he extended his left leg out, catching the post that the dummy was resting on. breaking the post clean, and sending the dummy twirling through the air. Standing up from his attack he smiled happily as he proclaimed, "Yeah. I'm awesome."

(From Dorms) Wandering into the training grounds, Kensei wondered which of the scrolls he should study first. Deciding on working on the simplest of ones to begin with, he pulled out the three E-rank jutsu. Shinten Shuuhaken...Extension Wave Blade... sounds interesting. Reading the scroll, he easily understood what was required for the jutsu. Summoning water using Mizu Soujuu, Kensei proceeded to mold the water onto his katana. Running towards the nearest tree, he swung the katana at the tree horizontally. " Shigure Soen Ryu: Shinten Shuuhaken!" What once was a Katana appeared to take the form of a Zanbatou cutting deeply into the tree.
Pulling the blade out of the tree, he watched as the water fell of the blade. Kensei then sat down and read the next two scrolls. Shibuku no Mouten? that sounds far too easy to perform. Dipping his blade into the water, Kensei brought it back up and flicked his wrist sending a splash of water at the nearly cut in half tree.
Reading the last of the three scrolls, He decided that he would go get lunch after finishing this technique. Yazaru no Ame..hm...So basicly I just have to drop the blade... As he thought this, Kensei dropped his Katana. "And Kick it!" Rearing back his leg, He shot it forward as the sword reached the same level, sending it launching into the tree.
After a brief struggle removing the blade from the tree, Kensei left in search of food. "I think I'll have some ramen today." With that, he left without noticing that the tree had fallen over, whistling all the way to Ichiraku's. ((I'm of the speed class, so I can use two at once, and it's the two paragraphs per, so I should be legal.))
Tai stood at the edge of the training ground, Watching as a few other ninja Were chatting and training themselves. He scratched the back of his head and sighed, This being the tell tale sign that Tai was beating himself up for not training. "Get it together, you're from the Legendary Uchiha clan, You're gonna pass this with flying colors." After sitting for a moment, watching thew others,Tai decided that he was just as fit as any one of them to be A great ninja. Being a ninja of such a well known clan meant that he was looked at to be at the top, and more importantly, Tai was bred to be an amazing shinobi.
To be all that his father hoped of him, he would have to Push himself to The pinnacle of his own power. He closed his eyes, feeling the flow of chakra within himself. He began to devise in his head a plan, A routine that would train multiple beginner techniques. He was told that to become a genin, one must master the Bunshin technique, The kawarimi, and the henge. Once the plan was all ready, He launched into action.
Tai concentrated on his chakra, Separating part of it into two equal sections, then he repeated the steps he had learned in the academy, that would turn the chakra into copies of himself. He shouted the command, "Bunshin no jutsu!", and with a puff of smoke, two more of Tai appeared before him, one standing at his side, the other facing him. He smirked, looking rather full of himself. "Ahah, that was rather easy. Especially considering chakra control is a forte of my family."
With his left hand outstretched, he grabbed the right arm of the clone at his side, and shouted another command, "Henge!", causing the clone he had clutched to, to be concealed by smoke. When the smoke had lifted, the bunshin was no more, and instead of it's arm, Tai clutched tightly to a Fuuma Shuriken that had not been there before. With no warning, and super swift motion, He swung at his clone with the Shuriken, once in a diagonal line, which the clone easily dodged, and then again, coming straight down.

The clone pulled a surprising move, catching the blade in between his hands, snatching the Blade from Tai's hands, Spinning with it, and plunging it deep into it's masters abdomen. Tai didn't move at all, his face was stone, his eyes widened from surprise, or at least, for a moment they were. Sword still plunged into his stomach, Tai showed his favorite arrogant grin, before disappearing into a puff of smoke, leaving behind only a log in his place, with the Shuriken blade, hilt deep inside of it.
"good work, good work!" Tai shouted from a tree that was two meters behind his clones. He clapped his hands together before dispersing the bunshins. Tai welled up with a new heated passion for this new techniques. "Tch, Hard work,or natural talent, It doesn't matter to me. What matters is that one day to come, all the land will know my name as a master shinobi, and I assure you, this step today, is only one of many more to come."

Tai stood in the training ground, hands making the Tori symbol. He was concentration all of his energy into his index finger, trying to spark a flame, but to no avail. He sat down on the grass and wiped his brow. "I didn't think it would be so hard to learn such a simple jutsu. This may take forever if I don't hurry the hell up! I just have to imagine my inner fire! Wait...inner fire....Imagine fire.." Tai shot up from his seat, Eyes gleaming with a brand new resolve. He was positive he'd get it this time for sure. standing still, Concentrating on his goal, He imagined a spark, igniting a flame on his finger, He closed his eyes and felt it out, He imagined himself feeling the flames warmth as it flickered at his fingertips. He opened his eyes to an amazing sight. A small, but bright flame danced on his finger. Excited and overjoyed he hopped from foot, to foot dancing and waving his burning finger. "This hand of mine glows with an awesome fury!!"

Tai stood again, Resolve in his eyes as he prepared his last test as an academy student. He took his hand, and put it into the pouch where his shurikan lay, and snatched one out. He ran full speed at the hand-made target that lay on one of the posts. with a quick snap of his wrist he launched the shuriken at the board, and then clapped his hands together, initiating the second part of the technique.
After making the proper hand seals, he took in a large, drawn out breath. He shouted out as he blew, "Katon! Shuriken no jutsu!" As the words escaped his lips, fire burst out, and engulfed the shuriken before it hit it's mark. Flame slowly catching the entire board, Tai sneered expectantly at his new acquisition. "Easy enough for those with fire in their blood, eh?"

Saga smiled as she sentered the training grounds. She placed the scrolls she got from the library down and took a seat sat a bench before opening the first one. "Escape jutsu" she said. She read the scroll and studied the single hand sign needed to activate the jutsu. "Well this looks easy enough," she said with a smile on her face. She reached into her bag and produced some rope which she tied around her arms. Once she was all tightly wrapped up she fell onto her stomach and rolled around for a bit before forming the hand sign needed, "Escape Jutsu" she screamed she poofed into a cloud of white smoke and appeared back on the becnh, the rope on the ground before her. "Nice job!" she said well pleased with her work.

Saga opened up the next scroll on the table and read its name out loud, "Kai - Release" she mumbled. "Lets see here, this justsu is done by a single hand sign. And fluctuating the chakra and dothing lets see" she said. She continued to read the scroll and grumble and she tried to understand how it worked. "Oh, I see. I understand, I'll try it but theres no Genjutsu arounf to truly test, but if someone were to use Genjutsu on me, I'm ready" she said as she stood up and concentrated her chakra. "Kai" she said as she disperced and felt odd, she wobbled and stumbled. "Woah, better not do that when no ones around" she mumbled. She grabbed the scrolls and rolled them up before heading back to the library.

Taiji walked over towards the training grounds, scanning the immediate area for any sort of creatures, finding a squirrel to be the only thing close enough to try his newest technique out on. He had read about this jutsu, and completed reading the entire scroll on the walk back. He was ready to try out his very first genjutsu, be it man or animal, he couldn't let this chance go. Tai stood perfectly still, hands raised in a seal, he stared at the squirrel, concentrating his chakra to form for this technique.
The squirrel looked up into the sky, to see the clouds lazily drifting through the sky. Suddenly, an acorn dropped onto it's head. The squirrel was obviously ecstatic at this miracle, and before he knew it, more had begun to fall. The squirrel danced about, picking up acorns here, and there, stuffing his cheeks with as many as he could. But the miracle rain never stopped. In fact, it began to fall harder, pounding the squirrel with a painful shower of seeds, beating the squirrel into the ground. The acorns began to cover him, Now flooding the ground, as they swept him away in the tide of nuts.
Back in reality, the squirrel had been seized in it's spot, looking almost broken as tai smiled happily to himself.
