Rake leaned over and watched her panic, it was kind of funny in a way, but he didn't laugh. He ruffled his gray hair and yawned big. The library was making him feel sleepy, but he fought the urge to doze, and instead stood up and followed the girl.
"Ah, its really okay." He shrugged. He went to push his hands into his jacket pockets and was suddenly reminded he didn't bring it when his hands clumsily pushed into nothing. "I probably didn't really look like I belong here anyway. I'm not much for books."

Courtney stared or appeared to stare through her bangs, "..."
"I could tell..." Her voice was feathery soft and had a slight affliction from her forked tongue. "You don't seem to be the 'bookworm' type." She held her book a little tighter. He hadn't seen her eyes, had he?
Her sister would be worried about her if anyone found out... Even if she claimed not to care.
She pulled in her bottom lip and gave off the distinct impression she was staring at him.

Rake looked down at his shirt, "Is there something on me?" He patted at his chest, not sure what she was looking at "It's been a rough day so I wouldn't be suprised."
"Hah! Not even close. I don't think I've read a book from front to back since...uh..." He scratched the back of his head. He honestly couldn't remember.
He walked back to the table he left the book on, and debated on if he shoudl check it out or not. It deffinatly wouldn't be a bad idea...

Roxy printed out 20 of the flyers and placed them carefully into a pile. Then she started working on the menus, using the same sunset theme and the same colors as she had used for the flyers. "Ok, steak, Asian salad, macademia nut crust chicken..." Roxy thoughtfully typed in each of the menu items Miss Ayla had given them, then turned back to see what Danny thought. "So, does this look ok?"

Hesitating, Courtney took the book from him and checked out her book as well, as his at the counter. The old librarian was creepy but harmless. She walked back over with the newly stamped book and handed it to him.
"Its a pity, no one likes to read anymore, they just want go 'malling' and take pictures in booths, and play video games." She turned a bit pale at the mention of booths, she'd had a bad history with small spaces... "At least you get some kind of excersice from riding you motorbike?" She questioned, assuming he had one or was in trested in them seeing as that was what they book was about.

"Ah, you could say that!" He grinned. "Its more fun if you don't just ride it, I guess." He took the book from her, "I can ride them but I don't know much about fixing them. My friend use to do it for me, and since he's not here, I'll have to learn or blow a load of money having it done." He seemed to be weighing the value of money versus lazyness.
"Picture booths are fun though." He had wished there was one on campus, he had really wanted a photo of Seiya, Kumizu and Elle to add to his old photo in his dorm room. "Oh. I'm Rake Graver. Thanks for checking the book out for me. I'm not sure if my temporary ID would have worked...speaking of that..." He trailed off, "Ah, I'll deal with it tomorrow."

"I know someone who'd fix your bike for you." She said pondering over whether or not they'd do it; he didn't charge but he didn't work at all for people he didn't like.
"My name is Chiu-I mean Courtney." She coughed, no one ever called her by her real name anymore. She sweatdropped, one green eye looking at him. "I don't really like taking pictures, they always come out strangely."
She remembered in the last photo booth picture she had taken her friends had pushed back her hair and her eyes had reflected making her whole face light up in the picture.

"Nice to meet ya!" He grinned making his way slowly to the exit of the library. He was rather happy with how many people he's met so far. It was alot easier than he thought it was. "Take a photo booth picture with me some time, okay?" He grinned again, and looked back at the library again. "Maybe I should look into a cell phone or something...and try to get to know that friend of yours. I don't know if I could really learn to fix my bike or not!" He knocked his head with his fist.

Courtney pulled a slip of paper from her pocket with a number on it, "Call when you've got some time. He usually hangs around the forest, he says he goes here but I've never seen him go to class."
She tugged on her bangs, "Are you thinking about a girl?" Courtney blurted out, unable to quell the vibes her powers were picking up.

Rake got a funny look on his face, "A girl, uh...not really...I was just..." He was a bit perplexed at the sudden outburst. Even a bit embarassed. Rake wasn't use to being around people with powers like that at all. "I just kinda miss my old friends, you know?" His face was a touch red even.
"What made you ask something like that...?" He raised an eyebrow at her.

"Uh...because..." She hated when he powers took on a life of their own, "I'm getting a double helix of emotions from you or around you, I'm not sure. If its not you then that means...someone's thinking about you." Courtney fidgeted, she always got flustered when she caught the thoughts of couples...or crushed...or just anything to do with romance.
"It's a girl, I must have gotten it mixed up..." She paused, she could hear thoughts now.

Rake was intersted, but not sure how far he should prod. Sometimes its better to give people their privacy. He could understand the crazy emotions around him though, that was deffinatly going on. He was excited to go to a new school but still missed his friends...and that girl quite a bit. He coudln't help but wonder who was thinking about him.
Unfortunatly, curiosity got the better of him. "Who, who is it??" He looked wide eyed and curious, almost like a puppy. "Hmmm...I'll buy you a snack and you can tell me." He tried to use food as a bribe. Hehehe, food always worked for him, that he knew for sure.

"Really?! I like moichi balls (rice balls)!" Her eyes shone luminously straight through her hair, "GACK!" She covered her face, "Oh, what to do...?"
She supposed it might be for the greater good for her to help...
"Alright, let's go to the dining hall." right now her stomach overpowered her constant internal turmoil about right and wrong.

Rake liked the idea of a snack, and followed her, she seemed to know the way better than he did. Besides he was missing a map. "Cool~ Sounds good. Food it is~" He walked a bit faster than usual...his mind still wandering as to who it could be.

After placing her books in her bag Courtney turned to Rake,
"Okay. Let's go." She left the library and crossed the yard to the dining hall.
