Ciara sighed. "They aren't here," she said simply. "Nobody is. Let's go. I...know someone who might be able to find them. Do you want to go visit her? She doesn't live around here, though."

Aleksi looked at her. "I- I don't know..." He looked around frantically. "Why is everyone missing?" "Why did they abandon me?" He said darkly.

Ciara heard the change in Aleski's voice and stepped back a little, frightened. Then she remembered herself. "Aleski, nobody abandoned you," she said. "Calm down."

Aleksi sighed and grasped his head in pain. "I- I know." He said quietly. "I'm just so confused." 'Whats going on with me? He's always been there, but never been so powerful.' he thought.

"What was that?" Ciara asked, worried. She had recovered a little, but was still worried and concerned.

Aleksi turned towards Ciara slowly. "It is my other self." Aleksi said quietly. "I am a cursed weapon, there must be something evil in me."

Ciara slowly nodded. "Well, anyway, I want to get out of here," she said. "This place is giving me the creeps."

there was another clatter this time, not the same sort of clatter as had been made by the lunatic in the church, but the clatter of a scavenger, a clatter of pots simply collapsing down, followed by a curseword, said by a rather young voice, coming from a nearby house. there were small footprints leading to the door, a childs footprints. they belonged to a ten year old within, who was scavenging for food. the child was visible through a window, and didnt seem to be aware they were there.

Ciara heard this sound and practically jumped out of her skin. "Aleski, come on," she said, her voice quivering from fright. "I want to get out of this creey ghost town."

"Ciara this is our home." Aleksi said. He peered into the church at the scavenger. "Boy!" Aleksi called out to the child. He walked around the corner to approach him.

"It might as well not be," Ciara whispered. "It's too different now." She stood where she was rather than follow Aleski. She wasn't going to risk getting trapped and attacked again. She looked around at the empty buildings and felt the urge to cry.

The boy jumped, then disappeared, diving under a nearby bed.

"It's alright!" Aleksi yelled to the boy. "I just want to know what happened to this town." he walked to the bed the boy had ducked under and crouched down to look under it.

The child looked about ten, but the bed was large enough to cover him... until he dove for Aleski, a small knife in hand, clearly terrified for his life. he looked incredibly thin as well, underfed.

A chain shot from where Aleksi's arm had just been, and wrapped around the boy. "Now now. I mean no harm." the chain tugged the boy out of the bed. "Now answer my question before I do harm."
