"Because the Hawk's wife might hear me say it," he roared at the ranger. "She's the most fearsome thing I've seen around here and I'm sure she could gut me if I pissed her off, dipshit!" A vein could be seen throbbing in Ashnard's forehead from his rage.

Alihi groaned, resting her forehead in the palm of her hand. Man, all the confusion with what's going to happen when was getting rather annoying. "Rhys, Amelia, and Kishuna, go ahead and head out if you believe you are ready. Be careful, though, and be prepared for anything. I want you guys to come back here alive." She gave them a small smile and an encouraging wave.
Finished talking to the three, she turned to Ashnard and Arashe. "Now, would you two kindly stop bickering with each other? We don't need arguments amongst ourselves." The tactician said in an irritated manner, resting her hands on her hips. "We aren't going to deal with Tibarn right now. We'll let Ayra control how that goes. So, for now, just be quiet about it. It's only right that I let Ayra decide who's going and how it'll be handled."

Ganon stepped around the corner into the hall and blinked (or winked?) down at Amara. "Well!" he said, tail waving slowly. "You've certainly grown up since last night, haven't you?" A grin broke out on his face; he still stood a good head and shoulders above the young girl, even on the prince's shoulders. He poked her nose gently with one claw as he chuckled, "I'll have to watch for this one."
He stepped back and offered Ephraim a nod. "Hey there. You know anything about what's going on? I, er... well, I would like to help where I can. I'm a bard, I can... play," he finished. He wasn't eager to elaborate on the full extent of his skills. They tended to get him in trouble.

"It's true, his music is quite lovely." Sue had to confess, because she had heard it somewhere before. It sent her into longing though... longing for the days when she, Rei, Rhys, Amelia, FD, and Nils all were Hosts, planning parties. She'd fight her hardest to get those days back. "Amelia... you said you're going after Rei, and since Melethia doesn't need me for her plan... I'm going with you. If we run into Abel... I'll knock him out too."
"Oh, if only we could split this tome in two." Victoria sighed. "I'm not that kind of magician, though. Whatever you do, make sure it's all in one place, I can't split either myself or the tome into clones."

Amara grinned, pointing at Ganon. "Mm-hm! I'm almost as tall as you!" She exclaimed with a happy squeal. She then turned to look at Ephraim, the grin still clear on her face. "His music's really, really pretty, Ephie!"

(( its ok, i'm at work XD!! ))
A bard came around from the corner and seemed o have known Amara. Ephraim nodded back in a polite way. He mentioned that his music was superb and the noble nodded in an interest way. Amara too praised his music and he chuckled "I'd like to hear it one day" nodding in ageement.
As soon as the bard asked if he knew what was going on, Ephraim set the little girl down in front of him, his hands on her shoulders. "I do but..uh.." He hesitated for a moment before mouthing 'I don't hink I hsould say in front of her' eyeing down o the little girl in front of him. He hoped the bard got the message since i didn't seem like Amara knew what was going on aside fom he fact hat she wanted to play ane explore. "But there are still people in the kichen discussing this 'matter' if you wish to know more"
((I'm assuming Amara doesn't know anything X_X but correct me if i'm wrong))

"Well," Melethia said, "Looks like I have no say in the matter anymore. I'm leaving. Follow me if you can." She walked out the door. she walked away from the house a few good feet before she flapped her wings and took off into the air.

It seemed there was a way save them after all. For that, Ninian was grateful. They could save everyone who'd been turned evil. They could save Nils . . . without having to kill or seriously injure anyone.
Frowning slightly, Ninian felt a sense of deja vu. Hadn't she been separated from her brother before? Yes, she remembered--when Lord Elbert had tried to get them to safety and had given them a small boat to flee the island of Valor on. A storm had hit, and the rough waters knocked the small boat so hard, Nils fell overboard. Helpless and unable to do anything, Ninian had lost it. Even after Eliwood had found her, she didn't know who he was, or who she was. The shock had taken her memory.
But I did not panic this time, she thought. But this time is also different. Nils left of his own volition, in a way. And we've been separated like this before. That time was an accident. Now . . . Nils has been taken captive by that strange power.
She wanted to go with the others who were preparing to rescue Rei, but she knew that would only put her in danger. Nils would not want her to be hurt trying to save him. If their places were reversed, she'd want him to stay safe, nevermind her.
There's nothing I can really do, she thought, head bowing, eyes shifting to stare at the floor. Her fingers clutched Ninis's Grace. Unless I'm asked to go, I will wait here, she decided.

The Door opened...
And a little man tumbled out. He heard the mysterious portal click shut behind him as he dusted himself off, listening closely for the sound of anyone close by who might compromise his secrecy. Satisfied that there was no one, Large the swordmaster shunned the stairs and instead used his sword to unlatch the door that opened directly to the outside, the cellar hatch.
He pushed it open carefully and slipped out, then closed it behind himself. A nasty grin wormed its way across his face as the diminutive swordsman slipped into the woods. His knife quickly tore into the fabric of his uniform, giving him that signature "battle survivor" look, and a quick roll in the dirt created the illusion that he had been running through the woods for some time. He didn't stick a leaf or twig in his hair; nobody who was actually running through the woods let that happen. However, as he stumbled into view of the manor, he made a point of flicking something that wasn't really there off his shoulder.
"C-captain Ghis," he panted, recognizing the Captain of the Constabulary immediately upon his arrival outside the mansion. "'M Sergeant Matsu... Of the Guard. Castle's... overrun. Everybody turning..." He paused, bending over with his hands on his knees to catch his breath. "Need help..."

Ed watched as Amara began interacting with Ephraim and the newly arrived Ganon. The sight was heartwarming, but she was getting tired of standing around.
"...Well!" she exclaimed, flicking a hair away, "Guess she doesn't need us any more, Bartre. Sorry about that. Amara! I'm going to go and do something. Have fun with your new friends, okay?" She smiled nice and bright for the child, then turned on her heel and walked down the hallway.
"What will you do, Bartre?" she inquired as she moved away.

Ghis turned to face the new arrival, his eyes narrowing. Something was fishy about this "Matsu" character... now, maybe he had been running through the woods, and maybe he had barely escaped with his life. Hell, for all he knew, maybe the lad made it out uncorrupted.
But FEW men in the Castle Guard were as short as Matsu. Indeed, from what he remembered of the Guard, Large was the ONLY man who was as short.
And if this was Large, that meant this was the Large who left Chickenwire and Clang behind. This was the Large who was using the fake name "Matsu". This was the Large who...
Was likely, for all intents and purposes, "up to no good".
But how t' prove it...
He nodded at the rest of his troop. They took it as a signal to go about their business, leaving the two alone.
"Help, ye say?" Ghis asked, cocking his head to one side. "What about, err... Clang, er Chickenwire, er even that Large fella?"
He fought the urge to laugh. Chickenwire...
"Maybe even good ol' 'Steely Dan'? Ah'm sure he'd provide good assistance..."

Amara was set down on the ground. "Aw... I shrunk!" She said with a small pout. She then looked up at Ed as soon as she said her name. "Ah... Alright, Ed!" She gave her a grin and a wave and she swayed back and forth, wondering about many different things at once.
(( Amara's vaguely heard things, but doesn't know what's going on. o: ))

Aran noted the people leaving already, but he wasn't gonna go with them unless he was needed. "And on that note, I'm getting some of my armor and my lance just in case" The Soldier said as he went back upstairs towards his room.

"Sounds like a grand idea. I have no idea on what's going on, myself, so I can't really help unless we're suddenly involved in a fight or something."
She looked at her gauntlets and flexed her fingers bitterly. Especially without my weapons I can't fight, she added to herself. Spiked boots and agility did her no good against spreading corruption and crazed ex-allies...
"...I need to find my sword. Hope Blossom's still about..."
Ed headed downstairs, still inspecting her hands intently. Maybe a sword wouldn't help her at all either. Maybe she had to go back to being a wolf for the conflict to come.
