All that story taught me was not to get physical lolicon manga because ignorant customs people might snoop around and treat it as if it were just as bad as real child pornography.

I am highly opposed to the outcome of that trial though, that is some bull s**t... -_-
You, me, and many comic creators, enthusiasts, free speech advocates and other concerned parties.
But one important fact to consider is that
he declared himself guilty. He chose to avoid the hassle of trying to prove a hard-to-prove case. He CHOSE not to fight. He CHOSE not to appeal. He chose to bow his head, shut up and accept whatever was handed to him.
The CBLDF offered to help him. Many other people did. But he did not want any of that: He chose to go to trial with his own means, declare himself guilty and receive some bullshit punishment over some fictitious drawings.

that's what's bullshit.
