Ikki walked into a field where there was only on tree ontop a little hill in the middle of the field "gah this is so boreing." he said laying on his back his head by the tree "where are all these other eternal eyes." he mummbled to himself "every time i find one they ditch me." Ikki closed his eyes

"I-I think she's okay," Rina said as Yin walked up.

Mina helped Hiro to his feet. She whispered to him, so quietly that Annexus wouldn't hear, "Don't provoke him. He sucked your soul out once, he could easily do it again."
"But, I won't allow him to insult our Gods," Hiro replied, in the same hushed tone.
"We'll get him later, when we're at full strength. For now, we have to get out of here," Mina breathed. Turning to all the other Eternal Eyes, Mina said, loud enough so that they could hear her, "I'm going to get Hiro out of here. You all had better catch up to us later."
Hiro wanted to protest, but he knew that Mina was right. They could never take him unless they were at full strength.

Annexus narrowed his eyes. "Very well, if you wish to leave, you will find the way cleared. But I warned you, Not all Gods have the best interests of humans at heart. Some are as fickle and selfish as us."
He turned and walked away. He found Rina still in the box. He leaned over and lightly picked up Rita. "Come, let's get her to a doctor."

Rina was slightly surprised when Annexus walked up to the box. She had not heard him coming. She nodded.

Mina had heard the argument between Annexus and the servant of the Gods and she knew that he was telling the truth. Who said I was going to let the Gods do whatever they want to the human race? she thought. They may be the ones that created me this way, and for that I'm thankful, but they put the future in the hands of humans, for that's what we are, just humans with powers, so the future belongs to humans.
Hiro didn't quite understand the conversation, as he was out during the argument with the spirit that had occupied Rita's body. "Let's just go," he said.
Mina nodded. "Hopefully he'll give us time to recover before he starts hunting us down."

An hour had passed since the conversation with the Eternal Eyes. Annexus was furious, but he kept his anger in check. The doctor came to see him in the throne room. "She'll be fine, she just needs rest."
Annexus turned to Mina. "I'm sorry that I did not tell you my plans sooner. I thought if I had told you about my everything before, you would have interfered."
"You see, the some of the Gods wish to destroy everything that mankind has fought so hard to build, sending them back to mindless enslavement, I wish to prevent that from happening again. I ask that you help me to defend this world. Will you?"

Rina stood up from the chair she was sitting in and bowed. "Of course," she said. It seemed like Annexus had finally won her trust. Maybe I was wrong about him, she thought.

The Eternal Eyes had all left the arena together. Now they were walking back to the village so that they could prepare to leave the village for good. "We can't stay in the village anymore. It would put everyone else in it in danger," Mina said.
Hiro was silent. Outside, he looked rather calm, but inside... Inside he was furious. Furious at Annexus for poisoning him. Furious at himself for letting that happen. Furious that they couldn't defeat Annexus. He was so angry that he wasn't paying attention.

"Yeah. You're right..." Mimi said, thinking about her family. She looked at Hiro and nudged him slightly. She could hear his inner thoughts, and they bothered her. Don't be so hard on yourself. I could've happened to anyone. And don't be so angry, you're bringing down my vibe, She thought to him.

Mimi's nudge startled Hiro. Huh? Oh... I'm sorry, he thought. I can't help but wonder how he got a poison that could suck the soul out of a person's body.
Mina jumped as Hiro started. "Is something wrong?" she asked.
"It's nothing," Hiro replied and gave her an encouraging smile.
Mina wasn't fully convinced. He had been unusually silent. She didn't press the issue, though.

Ikki opened his eyes then got up "uh, hello." He looked into his eyes "hey you have red eyes!." he looked at him with a smile "are you an eternal?" Ikki got up and looked into his eyes

He's the king Hiro. Mimi thought back. He can get his hands on anything if he wants. "I'd rather not stop by my home..." Mimi said. She had money, and that was all she needed. She didn't want to have to stop and get her stuff and explain to her parents face-to-face what she was going to do. She would tell them later telepathicly.

Leah walked silently with everyone else. She hadn't been thinking anything, really there wasn't anything for her to think about.
Lilly walked to the throne room after being in her room ever since the whole thing at the stadium. She wanted to make sense of everything that had been said by the girl. Now she wanted to talk to Annexus. The same thing that had been bothering her earlier had creeped into her thoughts again. With a sigh she knocked on the door to the throne room.

Varnis followed the group back to the village that they had gone to. He wanted to ask them a few questions, but wasn't too sure of what he would ask them. Walking up to where Hiro, Mina, and Mimi where, he looked at them for a moment before speaking. "So, from what happened back there, you are fighting against the king, and you are called the Eternal Eyes?" He asked them, hoping he didn't interrupt anything important.

It's just...unnatural. I know of a lot of different poisons, but I've never heard of one that could do that, Hiro thought.
Mina looked at Varnis. "Yes, that is correct," she said. "My name is Mina. This is Mimi and Hiro. I really don't know her name," she added, indicating Leah.
