Rebecca squealed happily as the car sped out of the driveway. She giggled a bit as the car slowed down and looked over to Julianne. "Down to Harmond Street and 5th. There's a p***k apartment complex." she replied.

"I know that neighborhood. We'll be there real soon," Julianne replied, grinning like a madwoman, and sped off in the direction of the complex.

[enter Vandal Savage and Emily Dew from Iceberg Lounge]
Savage went around the car, waved down a valet, and opened the door for Emily. "We're here," Vandal said with a smile that seemed more out of enjoyment than before, clearly playing a role for the benefit of onlookers. She might not realize it immediately (or she might; he knew she was no fool), but he knew that if he treated her like a woman he'd just met and brought back to his room, she'd have the best chance to go unnoticed by the staff, since him bringing women to his room was a relatively normal occurrence.

Emily looked up at him for a moment before getting out of the car. She DID notice that his mood had seemed to change in the process of getting out of the car. Rather than just assume that he was putting on his public display, she decided to test the water first.
Stepping out of the car, she looked up at the (unsurprisingly) ridiculously expensive looking hotel. "Well..." she replied, her tone mock unimpressed. "I suppose you weren't lying about having a nice place." He'd said nothing about his living arrangements, and if he was just putting on his public display, then he would play along. Then she'd know to play along as well rather than do anything that might... accidentally encourage something. She looked over at him and quirked a brow at him. "You're still going to have to do a little more to impress me though."

Vandal's eyebrow raised. Emily was a quick study. "Only a little more?" he asked with a laugh, playing along with her line, "I had you read entirely wrong. I was planning on doing a lot more to impress you." After another quick laugh, he added, "No, on second thought, you're worth the effort." Once the valet reached the car, Savage handed him the keys, told him to put up the windows when he parked it, tipped him twenty dollars, and then offered Emily his arm. "If I may?" he asked.

Emily looked down at his arm, then gave him a little smirk as she wrapped one of her arms around his. "I suppose if you're offering. It's been a while since anyone's acted so gentlemanly towards me. Suppose I scare all the nice ones off."

"Then I guess it's a good thing I'm not so nice," Vandal quipped back with a smirk of his own, leading her through the doors and to the elevator, "I'd have hated to hesitate to talk to you, especially since I doubt you'd have let me live it down." The staff looked at the pair of them as they passed through the lobby, but paid no special attention to them.
Upon reaching the elevator, Savage pressed the 'up' button.

"A man like you?" she asked with a small grin. "Of course I wouldn't have." she said as she walked with him up to the elevator.

"At least we're in agreement on that," Savage said as the elevator door opened. He walked into it, bringing Emily along on his arm, and he lightly pushed her into a corner, stepping in front of her, and standing close. Very close. So close, he was just shy of pinning her to the walls of the elevator. As the doors closed, he said in a low voice, clearly breaking from his playboy character, "There's a camera, but no audio. If you'd prefer to just pretend to make out, that's fine. I'm blocking the camera's view of you."

Emily followed him into the elevator and let him practically pin her to the wall. Her smile wavered as he did so, but that was the only outward sign she gave. Until... he brought up the making out bit. Then her body tensed up and her eyes widened a fraction. "P....pretend. I'd rather not... do anything more to my back than needbe." she replied, looking down and moving a hand to run along his arm. For the camera of course. To Vandal it probably looked more as though she was trying to avoid eye contact now.

Savage nodded slightly, saying, "Of course." His hands moved so that one was on the side of her hip, and the other was under her arm, wrapping around behind her to her shoulder, his arm being placed just so that it didn't aggravate her back. The arm on her hip, them moved to her chin, and lifted her head to make her make eye contact. He said to her, locking his eyes onto hers, "Nothing will happen here without your permission. You have my word on that."

Emily held the eye contact with him for another long moment. Her expression didn't seem very assured by his promise. Though... she had her own reasons for that. It wasn't that she didn't trust him to mean what he said. It was just... well a personal little problem. And him saying that only reminded her MORE of Blackstone. And again... she did not want to start comparing the two together. Or... bring up little things from the past.
She inhaled deeply, then gave a slight nod in response to him.

After another moment, the elevator stopped on the forty-second floor, and the door opened. Savage instantly slipped back into character, his expression looking exceptionally smug, like someone who knew they had closed the deal would look. He placed his hand just below her back (it might be taken as an attempt at grabbing some a**, but it was more to avoid her back), and started to lead her to his room.

Emily allowed herself to lower her guard enough to really feel her nervousness. Just enough to help her get that nervous sort of smile one might get when they weren't quite sure about something, but were about to completely do it anyway. It helped her to look like she was simply still not 100 percent sure about this, but amused at whatever the man had tried to do. Should be the best sort of expression she could muster with her nerves right now.
She followed Vandal out of the elevator, not seeming to care where his hand was placed since it wasn't bothering her back, and walked with a slight sashay to her step this time. Her eyes took a close inventory of the hallway as they passed through. Nothing very serious to the camera. Just looking about.

A little further down the hall they went, until Vandal stopped in front of his room. "Here we are," he said, rather redundantly, as he pulled out his key card, passed it through the lock, and opened the door.
The place looked much like how Savage, Rebecca, and Julianne had left it, just a little neater; housekeeping must have been by. He let go of Emily, and said, "After you," his arm motion inviting her to walk in ahead of him.
