"Considering the state of the world today, particularly Barton Town, you should see the need for formal cooperation between military forces. I'm Major Colonel Reeves, chief officer of General Sloan's staff. I'm authorized to negotiate With Lamentian forces on behalf of the Northern Army group. It's my pleasure." Reeves responded.

Reeves offered a business like hand shake. Two more West Fall officers exited the APC to attend on Reeves.

"These are witnesses to the negotiations. Major Fargo and Major Delgado respectively. Do you have witnesses in attendance?"
The pilot and co-pilot exited the helicopter and took up positions behind the general.

Lieutenant Wells and Major Haas will act as my witnesses for the negotiations. It is a pleasure to meet you Major Colonel Reeves. Though I wish we could have met under less strenuous terms...

The general returned the handshake, and decided to get down to business.

Well, seeing as you are the apparent aggressors in this situation, I shall allow you to go first and explain why you are here.

The same courtesy would be given to the man in return.

And I simply cannot allow you to occupy our city. Also, your strategy is flawed. Our city is set right up against an active volcano. The route through our city is not any shorter than any other route. Quite simply, the better tactical decision would be for you to move around our city to reach your destination.

The older man scratched his head, and took up another position with his arms folded neatly across his chest.

The Lamentian Government is willing to have the Guard act as support for your forces if they come under attack as long as they are within range of our weapons. And, if you so wish, The Government is willing to lend you some basic supply assistance as well, as long as your forces are within our defensive perimeter, and do not take hostile actions against us.

However, we cannot allow any military forces other than our own to enter our city. We can extend our protection to you, and extend a hand as far as food and supplies are concerned, but we cannot allow you to occupy our city.

((Just so you know, I'm EXTREMELY opposed to fighting another one of your armies. There was a very large discussion in the OOC about this situation, and as of yet, no one has given Jello a good enough reason as to WHY you cannot simply go around my city and avoid this whole situation. I'm asking you nicely, as a fellow RPer, out of respect. Please, find another way to get where you're going that does not involve me, or my properties. People in this thread are having fun doing their own thing. And several people have brought up complaints about your army marching into the thread. I believe it would be unfair to them for me turn turn the city into a warzone while they are still going about their business. So, please consider what I've said, and find some way to edit your plans. I do not believe I am being unreasonable in my request.))

Raven Industries has helped our city come out of the dark ages, and begin its ascension into a modern place of living with happy people. Ever since the undead and armies attacked our city, we've been heavily opposed to any types of conflict while we bring our city to the present. Raven Industries has a strong feeling of hatred towards the undead, and through our common beliefs, we have forged a relationship that is mutually beneficial to both of our parties.

The old gentleman sighed.

We cannot simply ask them to leave after all they've done for us. Surely you must understand this. We are simply one city who wishes to keep its individuality and independence from outside powers. We wish to continue to live under the freedoms we now enjoy. Allowing your forces to occupy our city goes against every precedent that we hold true to, and keep close to our hearts.

He looked straight towards the younger man in front of him, and locked eyes with him.

It seems that you are headed north into the Northernlands with a very sizable attack force. I can only assume that you are heading there to bring the fight to their homeland. In that respect, my government can sympathize with your cause. But wasting our resources on a meaningless battle of occupation could not be beneficial for either side. As a high ranking member of your army, you must see this for yourself. We can provide you with support, and supplies as you move ahead to your objectives, but we cannot allow you to take up residence within our city.

He sighed and looked around at the countryside as he spoke again.

I'll allow you to take a break and relay my government's offers to your superiors. Please understand that we have no wish to make enemies here today.

ATTENTION!!!

All Roleplayers currently engaged in activities that will be disrupted by an army attack, PLEASE head to the Dispute Thread in the Member Lounge and make your complaints known. I've been told I am not the only one opposed to this army's advance and looming attack, so, if and of you have any issues and complaints regarding the Army, please head to the Dispute Thread and make them known. It will help immensely in pleading the case. Thank You.

((Okay, I'm going to rewrite the West Fall forces back in West Fall and work from there. Ryu, should we delete the threads involving the encounter? I don't think you want posts in your thread that never technically happened. 3nodding

As stated, I will contact you and work things out if I decide to take action again.

One week.

Actually, it had been more than one week. More like two. Sure, he was expected down in seven days, and everyone had been rushing to get ready, but... well, they had apparently been given a grace period. Today, as a Raven Industries Spectre helo entered into Lamentian airspace, that grace period was over.

Near the outskirts of the city did it land, not even remotely under cloaking. It didn't have to be... yet. The rotors powered down as Evan White and two other men who were as yet unknown hopped out of the bird and began walking through a dramatically changed Outer City.

Mmm... this is good work.

The reason they were taking this tour was simple- for the benefit of the two men behind him, who were part of this impromptu inspection team. They would go inside a building every once in a while and check to see if everything was running smoothly. There were of course, a few that were still vaccant, and those were the ones they checked first.

As for the CEO, he went to get himself something to eat, asking the two men to report to him with their findings.

Dawn had been busy, mostly just keeping everyone on track... The architect had finished her hidden levels of the RI building, at least as much as she wanted to, witch meant that there were two huge concrete caverns now where originally she had only had a giant hole in the ground under the building. Now it was structurally sound and ready for Raven Industries to decide the floor plan layout. In fact the entire building was moving along at a wonderful pace, only needing the glass got go in on the outside of the two two levels, and all the finishing inner walls to be put in!

The rest of the city was coming along well, although they had apperently had a few setbacks from some strange occurances, but the team just kept on working!

Evan could still hear the work going on, even now, and a smile came to his face. It was good to see that they were still doing what they did. With how the Outer City looked, it was good enough for him that. He couldn't wait to see the status of the Inner City. In the meantime, it was time to go and eat.

**

One of the workers was looking for Dawn Montigo. He had seen the helicopter land earlier, and was excited as he searched the city for their lead architect. There were only two words buzzing through his head, but he waited until he found her to let them out.

Dawn was in the Nursery, taking a little bit of time to relax and tend to the plants that she was trying to cultivate for the city, not just flowers and shrubs, but trees and vines and several different species of grass, coaxing the plants to life with her green magic in this converted warehouse with all of it's UV lamps to simulate sunlight in the dark confines of the building.

Well, of course she'd be there. Where else would someone like her be? The worker, young as he was, wasn't so excited anymore when he came upon the nursery. He knew this was her quiet place, and knew that any information had to be important. Oh, but this information was.

He cleared his throat to get her attention, standing about three feet behind her.

"Hey, boss lady..."
