Feng giggled at this, "She's probably saying good bye, you know how it is."
Seriously the girl metaphorically had one foot here and another foot in Gaia. The thought just made Feng giggle more.
Lin remembered and laughed hugging Elros. She was glad she stuck to her Dad like glue before, she had been shaped in so many ways, though she still had a long way to go.
"And I'll be keeping it..." she paused for a moment, "I better get back."

"Likely with Elros," Amdir chuckled. "She always seems to be with him when she can't be found. As I recall, she even went out on oernight shift with him a few times."
Elros chuckled and hugged Lin back, the first hug he had given for as long as he could remember. "Then you go," he told her. "I will see you again."
He let her go and rose once more to open the door for her.
"Do not let it be so long before I see you again," he told her warmly. "No matter where I am."

"Sometimes I wonder when she sleeps," Donovan muttered.
When she was younger, when he hadn't been thinking about the immediate future Donovan had always let Lin come along because it was one of the few times she would sleep well. Yet somehow she always got around that.
He poked Kara, "Come on, it's almost time to go."

"I won't," Lin replied before heading out the door.
She quickly made her way back, now that her question was answered she was more than aware the fact she hadn't worn boots out and it was cold! Not for the first time Lin wished she was immune to it.
"Hmm..." Kara murmured before snuggling into Donovan's arm a bit more, "Few minutes."
Feng leaned over and poked her mother in the side a few times.

Aliya had to fight a yawn. She was tired, but it wasn't until she was seeing Kara like this that it was really beginning to set in.
Amdir chuckled and reached over to nudge Kara with his foot. "Come on, you're putting Aliya to sleep as well."

Kara opened one sleepy eye in an attempt to glare at Amdir which obviously did not work. She was comfortable! It was warm, she had something to snuggle against and her babies were home.
She blinked, her babies were back, and with that she opened both eyes, rubbed them before getting up and hugging Feng and Naida.
"Good you're back!"
The door to the house opened as Lin came back in wiping her feet before coming to the play room.
"Only now you realize this?"

"She was asleep," Donovan chuckled as he got up, "And now... we can leave, and Lin you didn't put your boots on again did you?"
He gave her feet a look which were a bit red from the cold, not that she would notice quite yet.

Amdir chuckled softly. "If you'd like company to the portal, Aliya and I need to head back that way anyways," he offered.
Aliya nodded and smiled. "Come on, everyone's here now."
She followed Donovan's glance and looked down at Lin's feet. "Oh dear," she giggled. "I imagine your feet must be cold. They're a bit pink."

Lin looked down at her feet before grinning back up at Aliya with a shrug, "I didn't stay out too long, I ran, so I'll live."
Being a bit cold wasn't going to kill her after all.
Kara could only shake her head, "Don't forget your boots," was all she said before turning back to Amdir and Aliya, "We would love it if you came with us."

Aliya giggled at Lin. "Just remember them next time," she grinned. "Your parents aren't the only ones who would suffer if you got frostbite or something. Even we elves are not immune to that. Mum could tell you a story or two about that."
Amdir smiled warmly at Kara. "Whenever you're ready then."

"We left the bags out by the front door, and I believe Miyu is outside making snowmen... again," she had a mischievous look in her eye at that.
"Toshiro, time to go home," she motioned for the boy.
Toshiro already was aware of this and scrambled to get the bags, while it wasn't quite cold yet, he didn't want to be around when it got really cold. He had heard it snowed a lot here.
"I will," Lin sighed she hated shoes before turning and heading to the front door.
Kara could only giggle as she took Donovan's hand before joining the rest.

Donovan chuckled deeply, "I guess now."
He didn't mind, he would like to be home again, he wasn't ready for winter quite yet even though they were already into Fall back home.

Suddenly Haradhel appeared at the doorway of the room, already wearing her cloak and a warm pair of leather boots.
"If you don't mind," she smiled, "I'll come along as well. It's been a while since we've seen Arwen and Roydon out here, and it looks like a good day to visit them. They'll be leaving soon as well, I suppose ... since they were planning on heading to the Southland after you all visited one last time."

She didn't mind really after all it was good to have company she thought as she took her cloak from its hook wrapping it around her.
There wasn't much needed to prepare, Toshiro always dressed overly warm, at least to Kara, and Miyu was already outside, the mers were fine with the cold they didn't seem to notice and Lin was already shoving her feet into a pair of boots.

"Don't mind at all," Donovan replied grabbing a bag with his free hand and slinging it over his shoulder.
He had almost forgotten (not that he would admit it) that Arwen and Roydon would be leaving after them.
