Yuriko had a slightly confused look on her face, "Actually, I thought that you would. If your friends are associate with this place, you might be able to go in and get some idea of their whereabouts. At least, that's what I would do."

Elasa shook her head. "As I said, it... wasn't exactly a good time. Anyway, I doubt that their old headquarters would have any useful information... but we can still try," she said to Yuriko.

Nightwing creeped through the alleyways of the sunny Metropolis City. Superman oughta know something about what's going on.. I better find him, soon... He thought to himself. He exited the alleys, dressed in a casual tee and jeans with a belt. His tee had a Taco Bell logo on it, and the back stating it's motto: "Think Outside The Bun."

Elasa sensed someone moving in the nearby alley and turned to see a young man in what Elasa assumed were casual human clothes. He looked quite fit; comparable to the male ven'ari of her homeworld, except they had wider chests than human males usually did. Plus his hair was black-- a hair color that ven'ari did not have.
"Hello," she said to him. "Are you looking for members of the Justice League too?"

Yuriko shurgged. Normally, she'd rather do thing solo, but for some reason she just felt at ease around Elasa, "I could easily get inside, if you like me to Elasa."

Elasa took a moment to look away from the new arrival and back to Yuriko, unconsciously eying the mutant up and down, taking note of her tall, slender form from behind.

"The Blackest Night falls from the skies. The darkness grows as all light dies...
 Screams...pain...melodies in his ears. He knew it was wrong...he knew it was vile...and yet he still had to do it. Vengeance called him to do it, his lust to cleanse darkness from the world imprisoned him in this cage...and yet it was a place he wanted to be...
He was holding a man by the throat, a mugger, a thief, the general low life who wanted more then they were allowed to have. A mask and weapon he had, but his weapon was empty. He had already wasted his ammunition trying to fire holes into his attacker's body, but this man was not human...
No...he was a demon. A possessed skeleton burning with brilliant black flames, generated by his Black Lantern ring on his right middle finger, its glow so ominous and truthfully vile, seething with a hellish energy not of this world of the next...
The thief begged for his life, but his words but sad echoes in the the hollow holes that was this skeleton's eyes that burned into his. The being was half tempted to use the Penance Stare upon him and end his life of crime, but this man...he was vile, he was cruel. He stole from everyone and killed more. He could feel the blood crying out from his veins, the sin pulsing out from his terrible corpse...
And so they now stood, high above one of the city's many bank installations, this particular one nearly ten stories in the air...or more accurately, the skeleton of black flame stood on the ledge of that bank; the thief was flailing above the street, only kept alive by the being's flaming hand around his neck, begging for his life...
"Your soul...your soul is black with the blood of the innocent. Your hand has no bounds of what it will touch, gracing itself with gold and paper as quickly as they do blood. Now you will be sentenced by the Lord on High...your death swift and his judgment also, but your pain will be eternal! You will burn mortal! Burn with your sin!"
He then let go of his neck and the thief screamed his life out, flailing in disarray until he met his end; a flat-line of concrete. And for those people who were shocked and appalled, horrified and looked above, they saw the burning man standing there as he proclaimed, "Darkness to darkness and death for those of sin! None shall be safe from me, Xaronazar, The Dark!"
We crave your hearts and your demise. By my black hand, the dead shall rise!"

Elasa's eyes shot open as she sensed a great... darkness nearby. One that she knew, one that she would have feared were it not for her own abilities as a Blue Lantern.
A Black Lantern was on Earth!
She hated combat. Hated having to fight. But she knew from that very instant that she needed to stop the being before he went on a rampage, before he went too far...
"Yuriko, stay here. I need to see something..." she said, and with that she levitated into the air until she saw him, off in the distance but still able to be made out: A humanoid figure, cloaked in hellish black flame...
Faster than a speeding bullet, Elasa flew toward the being, and when she approached him, her aura shone brightly.
"You, creature of death and decay! Leave this planet immediately, or in the name of the Blue Lantern Corps, I shall be forced to expedite your leaving!" Elasa said as forcefully as she could. She wasn't used to doing this, but her ring helped her, and she aimed her ring at the Black Lantern for emphasis, with it glowing a bright blue as the power of Hope surged through it.

The being stood there, quiet and contrite, pleased by his work, yet sorrowful all the same. Killing was the last thing he desired to do, but this power, he knew, had few alternatives. And he continued standing there, looking upon that poor soul as the woman with her power appeared beside, not too far from where he was...
He was not surprised. The ring had given him a wealth of knowledge, whispering in his mind of the other rings, especially those of the Blue, but he was moderately surprised to be confronted by another so quickly.
He slowly turned his head to her, fully showing her his skeletal features as they burned, his bones popping and creaking as his posture slightly angled to her looking at her in the eyes...
For a moment he didn't say anything, merely looking up and down her body, taking note of her posture as she floated, the power of her ring, Hope, and her alluring features. When he felt the soul energy, he slowly rose a burning finger to her, the index finger of the hand that belong to the same hand that his ring rested on; its black, metallic construct wrapped around his middle finger that hung lazily while his index pointed for her...
"You...are innocent. You are a beacon of good...your Ring of Hope your source of purity. You and I have no business together here...leave. I have more important matters to bring my attention to..."
We crave your hearts and your demise. By my black hand, the dead shall rise!"

"I am sorry, but I cannot do as you ask," Elasa replied curtly, refusing to be intimidated by the figure's skeletal appearance. "You are a member of the Black Lantern Corps, and are a threat to all life therein. I cannot allow you to kill, because of what you are. This is your final warning: Leave. Now!"
Elasa's eyes narrowed. She knew full-well the capabilities of the Black Lanterns. She had not been a participant in the Blackest Night, but she had heard stories from Saint Walker and Sister Sercy... the Black Lanterns were an antithesis to Hope, as they attempted to bring hopelessness to others... she could not let that happen here. She had a mission, but her duty as a Blue Lantern to stand against the Black came first.

The being slowly shook his head, a dark chuckle that came from the bowels of his fiery body, his trench-coat snapping in the wind as he slowly crossed his arms; though he held no expression, she may have guessed he was smiling...
"The Black Lanterns...they are all but extinct. Surely one that exists is not such a threat. No...I serve a higher power...Darkness runs through these fiery arms so that Darkness in turn may burn!"
He made a power stance and his ring roared to life, burning with its black light as his energy coursed about him like a hazardous bonfire. His rage was ignited, the Spirit of Vengeance was called and the part of the building beneath him had literally melted away, his lantern ring keeping him afloat as he slowly turned towards the woman, an inner fire burning in his eyes now...
"You are not important, you are not chosen, yet you force yourself to me? Fine! I will not be held responsible if Judgment comes too soon for you! This is you're final warning! Flee or suffer my wrath!
With that he then thrust out his ring hand, its energy, half Black Ion, half Hell Fire, was a twisting mass of molten energy, resembling something like lava for it was black energy with cracks, crinkles and cuts throughout where fire spilled forth, the biggest sign of the union between the Black Corp Ring and the Spirit of Vengeance with him, the energy forming a massive, burning, skeletal fist that would thrust out for her, threatening to pummel Elasa and send her into the building behind her...
