"Heh, at least shes not angry all the time...Kira and I were cursed with having work with Layla..." Damien shook his head slightly, he couldn't seem to remember even one time when Layla was nice.

"Maybe it generates it's own power source? Just a thought." Layla said a bit irritably, she noticed Jeremy come in as he suggested something "Theres only one way to find out this kind of thing, you gotta dig for the buried treasure." she said, a daring tone in her voice. Layla looked at the elevator, wondering what kind of things would lie below.

Layla looked a bit amused, she enjoyed a good challenge such as this. "Well, then theres obviously no returning to this location after going down...interesting trick on their part."

Damien pulled out his laptop computer thing from his backpack, then after fiddling around with various buttons and screens, handed it over to Jad. "Its not too far off, actually, its a small, free-floating space station located somewhere in between Eros's and Lystrium's territories. This program should be able to track it's current location..."

Snatching the computer, Jad stuck it into the console. An HUD appeared on the screen and Jad handed the computer back, "Thankee." He flipped a switch and the ship jumped again, this time overlooking the station. Jad connected at one of the areas his ship identified as a dock.

The elevator zipped down after Erin pressed the button, the button itself falling up. the wall was then broken by windows revealing a large cave, possibly the room they saw was three miles in width, and 2 in height. Dominating the room was a starcruiser, not of human design with a whitish blue hull, slightly glowing (same material as Jad's drone...) The elevator stopped, leaving them on a doorway to a catwalk, about one mile off the bottom of the cave, bolted into the wall. The starship was roughly a bit longer than a mile, windows dotted the sides, and a massive cannon was slung under it's body by a single-fin-like rudder. The sides held a massive gem near the engines, ad what appeared to be a large solar panel covered the engine cluster. From the top, the ship's bridge rose up on a tower, a large glass domed window, reflective off the many floodlights on the ship, gleamed as if it were new. the ship's body extended far ahead, a cluster of weapons over a secondary bridge capping the front. below them, scientists of the O Project used hovering vehicles to move around it, firing powerful lasers at the hull, yet not leaving a mark. ahead of them, the catwalk led to a more industrial-style elevator and what appeared to be a ramp into the massive ship's fighter bay.
Picked out in raised black letters was the ship's name: Ascendant Dragon.
Dr. Erin gasped, "Th-that's not... It can't be... this is a starcuiser that's definately not imperial! It's like nothing I've ever seen..."
#13's eyes were blue now, scannng the ship, "this ship does not match anything in the imperial registry. it is also unresponsive to the actions of Team O. There is but one single entry even closely resembling the readings I have..."
"What is that?" Dr. Jeremy asked, puzzled.
13 looked at him with a cold mechanical glare, "125 years ago, Conflict of Arat. Imperial ships were delayed by a single starship, just smaller than a light freighter: The Dark Eagle, commanded by Jad, enemy of the Empire."

Damien stepped out into the wide hallway, everything seemed unusually busy right now. Damien stopped one of the many other scientists that was rushing down the hall previously "Whats going on? Why is everyone so hurried?" he asked a bit harshly. The man that Damien had questioned stood silent for a minute, his eyes showed concern, he pointed towards the lab room that Damien and Layla worked in. "It....Rosa....she started up on her own!" Damien let the man go now, he rushed off towards the lab room. '...Its not possible! This new version of her isn't even complete yet! ...did she maybe sense a threat and start up on her own?' Damien input the code into the monitor next to the tall, metallic door, then entered the dark lab. Damien stopped where he stood "Rosa..." In front of Damien stood Rosa, her movements were unsteady and struggled. Her face was covered over by a red metal visor that had her name printed on it. "Damien, Lystrium sent off a distress signal one hour ago. Their military forces are all being destroyed by an unknown enemy..." Rosa explained, her voice seemed more human in this new body, all of her seemed more human for that matter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Layla looked at the large ship, wondering what kind of material it was made of. Her eyes narrowed as she heard the name 'Jad' mentioned "That name sounds familiar..." she pulled out her little computer, examining various files and documents. "I knew it, hes one of the active hunts for bounty hunters...one of the top priority catches, too." Layla set down her computer and returned her attention to the ship "...Isn't that material illegal?" ((Took me a while to think up something.... xp This is what the new Rosa looks like, though her hair is red, not blue, and no wings...  ))

[OMG! I finally read all the posts I missed! Even the boring scientist ones, no offense >.>]
Nina was just admiring the nicely cleaned and fixed to perfection Starship when the boistous woman busted in. She took one of the ladies cards and looked at it. "Cool your jets, hunny... Jad's around... He can't leave without all of us..." The ship was all ready to go and the crew who had disappeared briefly had all returned. Everything was ready for when Jad gave the signal.

"No." Dr Erin replied, staring at the ship, "that's Bieruim Ore... the fact it's in that shape... DAI's exoskeleton is made from that stuff... It took the scientists nine years of nonstop work to drill the pieces at the same time, but this... this must be ancient... There's markings on that large shield, like a black phoenix... that's a crest that's appeared on thousands of ruins galaxywide... This must be a Pyresian cruiser..."

Shina looked back at her, "If he's not here, he's seen the big clanker he has me fly, and if he's seen that, he probably went somewhere to hide... which means..." She undid the wrench on her belt and flipped it in the air, "I'm gonna pound him when he gets back. The nice thing about Jad is, he never goes back on his word. never. and that gets him into some really dumb situations! And the Company sends someone, usually me, to get him out of it instead of getting a good pay for deconstructing an outdated shipyard..."

Blake looked over the receipt.
Maggie stood up and went to stand by Blake. She sighed when he handed her the paper, quickly glancing at it before folding it and putting it away.

Rosa looked over at Jad, not even noticing that her neck panel was off, revealing the thick wires and various other machines inside her. "Yes. They are being overtaken by a powerful enemy. Reports say that the opponent is unstoppable, not even their strongest defense forces were successful in defeating the intruders." Rosa explained, the Axion logo on her visor glowed green for a moment as she searched for an active signal from Lystrium. "All signals are being lost, only the one that sent the distress signal remains."
Damien walked over to the pod that Rosa came out of, he grabbed the missing panel and placed it on Rosa. "...This isn't good...if Lystrium is destroyed then the empire will start getting suspicious...war will break out on every other planet and colony that doesn't belong to the Empire..." Damien paced around the room, then headed over to the monitor on the wall, examining the current status of Lystrium. "They aren't holding up...Lystrium will be totally defeated if no one steps in soon..."

"What is destroying things?!" Jad asked, looking desperate, "I need to know if I'm running out of time!" Jad stopped, then asked more calmly, "describe them, please... are the reports describing them?"

Shina came up to Blake, "You're gonna have to ride with me, ain'tcha? Your pile of rubble, I mean ship, doesn't look like it's anywhere near complete... so I'll ask that you take the stuff you want, then I'll take the stuff I want, and then I'll have to go with you to make sure Jad doesn't lose profit from his little venture."

Blake, who had been listening to Nina, turned and faced Shina. Gesturing in the general direction of the now-totaled hangar, he laughed. "My ship...? Oh, no, it won't be repaired. It was pulverized - and it was getting cramped anyway. I'll, uh, 'procure' another one later."
Maggie tossed a small handbag on the floor. "That's all that was salvageable from the Alacrity," she explained. "All of our weapons, information, and currency were destroyed."
Blake nodded. "That's right - we'll need to spend some of our loan on new weapons... I actually am thinking of a nice photon blaster... no, maybe a cannon...." Blake trailed off, going over the different weapons he wanted while Maggie half-listened.
