"Lillith." I said. For so long I had kept my mouth shut, thinking there was really nothing for me to say. I dashed away from the others, going in the direction Miss Alexia had taken. Sure enough, the mouth of the tunnel was there, illuminated by the light of the moon. I sprinted toward it, somehow knowing Lillith was in trouble, that she needed help. The two of us haven't known eachother long, but I dreaded with every bone in my body that harm may come to her. Once I was out of the tunnel, a bright light glared in my direction. Not that of the moon, but that of a flashlight. Two officers in a white and blue cop car pulled up, one of them shining the flashlight on in my eyes. "Hey, miss, I don't know if you got the message, but unless you've got furry hands and a canibal-like urge to munch on one of us, I suggest you stay off the streets." the cop at the wheel said. "Wha..." that's when I remembered the moon, and realized what they were talking about. "Oh this is...oh." I said looking around. The other side of Tamatha. I had to think on my feet. "Actually, I was just heading home, officer." I said, looking down at my bare feet. "Are you really?" the officer with the flashlight stepped out, inspecting my bedraggled body with wandering eyes. "Yes." I said plainly. "Well, awful rain, this is. I better get going." I started away, seeing that a group of men was just a block ahead, worrying that Lillith was among them. "Goodluck," the the officer said, scratching his head.

After calming down some I quickly glanced back between Asher and Al. I wish I knew which one to help. Al had been there for me for the short time I've known her. On the other hand, Asher had to know something about Nathaniel's whereabouts. But what if he didn't. What if he was a worthless lead and was meant only to be discarded and forgotten. I went through my cards in my head over and over. Would I be better off if I was to keep the Queen and rid the Jack or the other way around. A decision had to be mad...soon. Having both of them would only result in a lost cause. Or maybe I could fold. Just give up now while I'm at it. Forget. The word lingered over me and as each moment passed it only seemed more appealing. I felt my stomach sink at the thought of leaving everyone again. This time would be different though. It would be a permanent migration and once I chose I wouldn't be able to turn back.
I pushed myself up so that I now stood beside the two. There was a test I needed to see the outcome of to now my next move. A little cheat that could help me win the hand. I looked over the ground a bit before finding a glass bottle. I picked it up and threw it against the wall. A few shards of glass landed around my feet, picking up the largest of them. Recklessly, I didn't think to wash it, well wipe it off. I pressed the glass against the cool skin of my palm and slowly moved downward towards my wrists. The crimson poison began to leak out, eventually making the beginning of a puddle around where I stood. I turned my focus to Asher, waiting.
If he was what I hoped for, he wouldn't care or feel the need to feed. Though, if he did Al was there and I hoped dearly that she would understand...

His words had no effect over her at all. In her mind they were only the mumblings of a dead man. But at the sweet smell of blood and lots of it she had to look up. D___ had cut her self severely in some kind of effort to end her rampage. The voice in the back of her mind told her to end his life now, but if it took to long than the girl could be gone, she had to drop the knife, leaving it sticking out of his chest, and get off of him, but not before giving him a brutal blow to the head. "That are you thinking?" Alexia Asked a kind ting coming back to her once hard voice. She put her hands around the girl's wrist, and applied a little pressure hoping to stop the bleeding, but mostly only making her palms red with blood.

Lance smirked and scooted down a little so that their foreheads were touching. He looked into the boy’s eyes. “I think your father is just scared to make a commitment, and worries that if he settles down than he will grow old and gray.” He kissed they boy softly on the nose then slipped a hand into his back pocket. “You know when this is over, I was hoping on relocating back to America. But you seemed to have changed my mind.” He put his lips against the boy’s neck softly kissing the thin pale skin.

"I think I would even believe that. He does seem to avoid it more than anyone I know." Mallory chuckles. He kisses Lance's neck and his chin before he replies to the rest of Lance's statements. "I also gave thought to leaving this place, though I do not know where I would go. I only know that there seems no way to truly live and create here. To fulfill what I have promised to you. This place is much too full of sadness with little hope to balance it."

"I'm thinking that this is the only way to know if I could trust Asher," I whispered harshly, but only so that Al could hear her. I winced as she put pressure onto the cuts. "I wasn't done." My words sharp and aggressive. I pulled my wrists out of her grip and let the blood to continue to flow. My eyes had changed from a once jade green to a color just shy of being black. As the blood drained my need from it only grew. I bit onto my lip, deep enough to make it start bleeding as well.
It took a few minutes before I realized what the hell I was doing and what a mess I actually was. I bit harder while trying to keep the tears I held onto for so long. The wounds on my palms and wrist began to heal, but the liquid continued to drip down from either sides of my mouth.

Lance chuckled. "Well, if you came back to America with me you could build yourself your own economic empire." He kissed the boy's lips, wanting to do more, but not wanting to make him uncomfortable, especially with his father so near. He pressed himself against the boy, under the loosely knit blue blanket. He broke the kiss for a moment. "You’re so cute." He breathed and kissed him again this time with a touch more passion.

Of course my friend, better times will come. Unless, of course....well it's dangerous out here Mallory. I care for you like a brother, just know that. Live a good life. Promise me that? Franky walked through the streets swiftly, but stepped on something, and with a cracking sound. It flew in the air and hit something, someone. It was a creature. It turned slowly, grimacing

Franky's breath caught in his throat.

"P-p-please..." Lillith stammered, obviously scared out of her wits. "I just got lost... I didn't mean to..." The flashes of memories from when the club burned down and ever further back, to when her fiance was killed right before her eyes came forth and she started shaking uncontrollably.

The men just grinned bigger. "She's and singer. So let's make this little birdie sing." the leader said and they moved in closer. He put his knife to her neck, and her breathing increased. "Sing, birdie, or else." he growled dangerously.

Lillith's voice shook as she started singing, forcing her eyes to close and forget about the knife at her throat. Slowly her voice took on more confidence as she sang.

The war rages
In my heart and in my city
It tears at my soul.

The war rages
It took my love and it took my home
It tears at my soul.

The war never ends
It will destroy us all
The war never ends
Until we are all dead

The war rages
The fires burn and the bodies bleed
It tears at my soul.

The war rages
It kills the innocent and rapes the land
It tears at my soul.

The war never ends
It will destroy us all
The war never ends
Until we are all dead..."

Even in the rain her voice carried, cool and clear, deep into the night. Then suddenly, she screamed as a knife was plunged deep into her belly.

"The only one dying tonight is you girlie." One of the men said as she started falling to the ground. Another took the moment to kick her head as she feel. She wouldn't die quickly, and she still might not die at all, but the pain made her wish she was as the group of men started to assualt her all at once.

I do promise, mon frère. My brother. Mallory thought to Franky even as his lips met Lance's. That was certainly a good start to keeping his promise, he felt. Mallory was eager to press close to Lance, his hands slipping under the man's shirt to curiously explore his backside. It made him blush faintly to have Lance call him cute. It was not a word he would use to describe himself, and yet it did please him. Lance, of course, was not cute. The word did him no justice. "You are très magnifique. So very handsome." Mallory murmured softly. The moment felt so private and tender; he thought he could die happy like this.

"No!" I screamed. My voice echoed through the street, a plead for help. Courage. I had to do something, I had to trust myself. Confronting the men would get me killed as well. But something had to be done, anything. All I had was a voice, a soft voice that was never meant to be heard, really. Now it had to be. Her song was a common one that I had listened to when I was little, whenever I passed a soup kitchen or bank.
"The war never ends." I sang softly, waiting for one of them to hear me.
"It will destroy us all." This time I raised my voice, I was almost screaming.
"The war never ends." Now I was screaming at the top of my lungs, a few of them turned around.
This was my stand, either do or die.

FYI, um, I'm kinda being attacked. Love ya man.

"Aha, Helllooo little vampster. How are you?" Grarash stalked close to him to the point where Franky could feel the rancid breath on his shoulder. Franky did a double take and swiped at Grarash, but that didn't leave a scratch. "Dangit!" Grarash threw Franky into a wall and started kicking him.
Ow, that hurts. Stop it! Grrr. Gah! Stttttoooop! Franky thought, un-aware Mallory could hear.

((I know that, but Mallory wouldn't have before now.))

And just that quickly, that peaceful moment became fearful. "Franky?" He says aloud, out of habit. What was even happening? Franky must be fighting someone and, as far as Mallory could tell, it was not going well. What's happened? Can you get away? He starts to sit up, his brow furrowed in worry.

Indeed the group started to turn around as the girl got thier attention. One of them grabbed Lillith by the hair and dragged her behind him. There were bruises already forming on her face, and she was deathly pale, but still breathing, if just barely. It was hard to tell if she was still concious or not in the night as her face was swelling up from the brutality they had served her, but Lillith was limp, as if she was unconcious, or in too much pain to try and move.

"Little girl, if you want to live much longer, I would suggest that you shut up." One of the boys sneered. "Otherwise you are going to end up like this worthless piece of trash." he said, pointing at Lillith with his knife.
