But, instead of an angry retort...
Muraki's body shook with barely controlled anguish.
And then...
He latched onto Oriya, sobbing against his friend uncontrollably.
Muraki had been violated and betrayed... he'd been abused and beaten...
But this...
What Saki had done now was the last straw.
"I hate him, Oriya-kun..." Muraki whispered, clinging to Oriya tightly. "I HATE HIM!!!"

"Oriya..." Muraki whispered, moving his hand away from Oriya's mouth and, instead, claiming the other man's lips with his own.

Oriya hugs him back tightly, avoiding the stab wound, but other than that giving him plenty of support, pressing his lips against his hair, gently. "I know.... I know..." Just trying to soothe him.

He moans softly, tilting his head up into it and kissing him back slowly. It's strange though, he has to almost... concentrate on it. Everything fuzzy and odd.

For a long time, Muraki continued to cry.
"I want to kill him..." the teen whispered, still holding onto Oriya, but having calmed down quite a lot. "I want to kill him with my own two hands... to watch him suffer..."

Muraki pressed the kiss, hoping to distract Oriya from the discomfort of his fever.
If only he knew the truth...
If only Muraki understood just what he had done...
His greatest achievement, was about to become his greatest failure...

(((Going to bed. Emo's going out of town tomorrow, so I don't know how much she'll be online. But I'll be around tomorrow afternoon and then again from work. Tomorrow night I'll be out with a friend for a few hours, but I should be online by late tomorrow too. *yawns and runs away singing the ending for YnM*)))

He just sort of rocks him a little, sighing. Not realizing that this is Muraki when he's calming down.. not knowing that he'll develop such an obsession.

Tsuzuki shrugs a little. "I dunno. I guess... it hurts me still, and I worry about that, with your empathy?"

Muraki fell asleep, holding the feverish Oriya close to him.
However, he feared what he might find when he awoke...

"I don't know." He answers quietly, smoothing his hair, his back, gently. "But this is it. I'll kill him myself if he so much as looks at you again."

Early in the morning, as usual, Oriya stubbornly gets up, ignoring the fever. It still doesn't seem that bad to him. Slipping out of bed and getting dressed while Muraki sleeps, he goes out, intending on practicing. He never misses practice, ever. His knees kind of... buckling out while he's in the garden, the dizziness suddenly getting much, much worse.

Muraki sat up, watching Oriya carefully with his remaining eye. "I want the killing blow, Oriya." he spoke seriously, his voice cold. "He'll die by my hand."

He felt Oriya getting up.
Worried, Muraki's grey eyes opened to find himself alone in bed.
"Oriya-kun?" the doctor whispers as he too gets out of bed.
He finds his friend, collapsed outside.
Muraki ran to Oriya's side... and running wasn't something the doctor ever did. He knelt down, pulling his friend against him gently.
"Oriya? Oriya?" he spoke, hoping to snap his friend out of his daze.

He frowns at his friend, feeling a little.. cold. Knowing this isn't right, but nodding anyway. "I understand."

Oriya opens his eyes slowly. He's very pale, and he twists a little, the contact with his friend actually hurting his skin, which seems awfully sensitive -- as do his eyes, the sun seeming suddenly -extremely- bright, even though it's barely up. "Sensei.."

But the anger soon left Muraki and he felt hollow and empty.
"Where will I go?" he whispered, knowing full well that he couldn't live with Oriya forever.
Eventually... he had to go home...

"Oriya, what's wrong? What do you feel?" Muraki asked, worry evident in the doctor's voice.
Something was wrong...

"I can't stay with you forever, Oriya-kun." Muraki whispered. "There has to be someone to take over the family name. And I'll die before that someone is Saki."

Muraki frowned, "Everything?" the doctor asked, helping Oriya to lean against the porch. "Just stay here, I'll be right back."
Eventually he returned.
He carefully slipped Oriya out of most of his yukata, and began to check his vitals.
"Shimatta..." Muraki whispered, looking to his friend seriously. "Oriya... I... You're horribly sick... but I don't know what it is..."
For once, the doctor was at a loss as to what to do.

"Who will inherit?" Muraki asked. "Just think, Oriya... if Saki were to inherit the power of my family... no place will be safe for me."
