Tori closed her eyes and slowly fell asleep again, her energy drained because her body had to suddenly deal with a burst of pain. One of her old powers had been fast healing, and Tori had long since learned to use it on reflex. Such times included the spine from the imp.

Izaak wasn't so cruel that he'd leave his lover in such a state as he appeared to have. From the back room, there was a dog that emerged. A very tamed, domesticated husky. it walked out calm and gentle, it's only real giveaway being the panting it did. He was kept occupied eating until now.

Tori heard the dog and looked at it, blinking. She scratched her head, then reached out to it sleepily. "Hey there..." she said, quietly.

The dog sniffed. "Hey yourself, I'm not a cow, you know!" The husky was slightly indignant, unanticipating of anything that was going on, and not knowing this new person. The sniffing helped familiarize him with the scent, which he'd reference to later. "Humans..."

"I didn't mean to insult you..." she said quietly, gently petting its head. "What's your name?" she asked, "I'm Victoria..." at the moment, she was a little dazed and didn't really notice how well she was understanding the dog.

The dog whimpered. A literal translation of which was "Wha--?!" The dog was frightened about her understanding, and it backed off being petted on the head. The dog had no collar and the concept of name meant little to him. The overall process by which Victoria had to have understood the dog would have had to be a method of knowing intent and being able to read all other languages--body language mostly--and know the emotions, inflection, and piece together the words from that. Basically like a link between minds. This extent of shared vocabulary did not enclude names unfortunately, so the dog was unable to tell Victoria his name. Barks came out as it shouted its name back to her, but unfortunately, at her standing, she would be unable to understand it. No tags and no way of simply telling her the name, he was just a nameless dog here.

"No name, huh?" she said. "I'm sorry I scared you, but there's no reason to be afraid. I won't hurt you or take offense." she held out her hand to the dog. "How about... Frederick?" she asked. "Do you like that name?"

The dog took to staring blankly at Victoria. He dind't understand. The word was a name to him, but not a word in his vocabulary, not something he could repeat in expressions and feelings, or anything. he communicated his name again, but still it was unheard.
Izaak returned quickly as promised, with a few bags. "Hey, I see you met my dog, eh? Give him a big ol' fluffy husky hug! You'll love it!"

"Alright, i'll just call you 'Noname', then. Or... Incognito." she grinned. "That's perfect." then she hugged the dog, the soft fur a new feeling against her bare skin. It sent happy little shivers down her spine.

"Heh, didn't say you had to do it naked...I thought you would've clothed yourself by now, but if not, more power to you." He smiled. The dog seemed a bit weirded out.

She got dressed, limping around carefully and collecting her clothes. She then sat on the bed, gently petting the dog.

"So you're getting along with the dog pretty well, huh? I haven't quite figured out the name yet either, but I don't know...Frederick stuck out. Something like that, anyway. Maybe Nome."

She grinned athim. "Fred I like." she said, huggling the dog. "I'm a dog person, too, so I'll take good care of him."

"Yeah, well I have to keep him kindof away from Justyn for the most part. Seems to me he's a cat-person." The poor wording he said it with made him start a light chuckle, then burst out laughing uncontrollably, unable to speak, nearly unable to breathe even. His hands went down on his knees, then his knees to the floor, and he was eventually on his side, curled up, still laughing all the while.

Justyn entered through the back of the house, knowing well that there was an entrance for animals, since he did have a dog after all. Justyn snooped around a bit, not knowing what he was looking for. Sniffing around, he could tell there had been someone else in there. Maybe it was just Victoria: That's generally what it smelled. He wished to be alone.
