You guys I feel horrible because this artist drew this picture for me, but i hadn't officially commisioned her she had told me to send the info because she was indecisive about a price and then she'd tell me and instead she drew it and i didn't have the amount needed to pay her at that time and then she said she only accepted pure and at least 5k so i paid her 5k seeing as how she got the dress color wrong and i hadn't even commisioned her. I just feel really bad because she keeps saying i'm underpaying her >.<;; If anyone knows her i'd appreciate it if no one mentions this i just need to vent so yeah (the drawing is great though). Anyone else have similiar experiences with artists who draw before you and them decide the price?  And from punkbunny *can't wait to see the rest of my commisions from her heart *

That's ridiculous, Sai. If she said 5k minimum she should be happy with it. She shouldn't give you a minimum that she considers as underpaying. @_@ And she shouldn't start drawing without giving you a price, either. It's her fault, try not to feel bad about it. And as for the dress, maybe you could ask her to fix it? It would be really easy in Photoshop.
Fortunately, I haven't had an experience like that.
And that picture by Punky is super sexy. *_*

Yeah, don't feel bad about it. She said that was the minimum, and she did start without your consent.
I think it's pretty stupid to start working on a piece of artwork without knowing for sure that the person you're drawing it for wants it commissioned and has the cash to pay you for it. It would be like feeding food to a guest at your house and then demanding that they pay you for it after the fact. There's nothing that the buyer can do about it since it's already been done.

I had a similar experience, Sai. Except I had never even considered commissioning this one artist. It was sometime last march or so (when 2k for art was kind of expensive) and she pops up with this picture that isn't very good and tells me I commissioned her and that I owe her 1.5k. I was having a reeeeeally bad week and I didn't feel like arguing so I thanked her and paid her the gold. Later, I checked all my pms and both mine and her recent posts and nobody had posted a commission in her shop and there were no pms concerning the commission I supposedly ordered. I've learned since then to keep records of everything just incase.
I wouldn't feel bad, it wasn't your fault she went ahead and drew something before telling you.

Nice edit job, Raesha. I had an experience kinda like that... I commissioned someone to do my OC, but she got it allll wrong. Luckily, she did another picture of her and it was far more accurate. And for 10k, I think it should be accurate... I didn't complain much because it was my best friend. sweatdrop And then there was someone else on Gaia who had supposedly commissioned something from her and had the drawing of my character in her signature, and she was claiming it as her own character (gave her a different name, though). I asked my friend about it and she said that she drew my character over because we were friends and such...yatta yatta... I still don't know about that whole deal, but it was really annoying. stressed Anyway, some art from my freebie thread. 3nodding heart    And a couple cute (and cheap) commissions...

Although she has a tendency to misspell thing..I have four pieces of art from her that she did for free (the first one in her thread, the other three she randomly popped in my request thread and said she got bored and liked my hair so did more art) and on three of them she spelled my name wrong xd In two different ways too. It was like Zrugi and Zugri.
I felt bad pointing it out so I just fixed it in Paint Shop Pro by switching around the letters sweatdrop

Well, she did free art, and it's a simple, fixable mistake... so no point in complaining, ne? whee heart I was thinking about abandoning my freebie thread because I wasn't getting any art when she popped in with the art and told me not to leave it.
