I just got back after being at the movie theatres since 8:40. I'm feeling a little queasy but entertained. It was a lot better than the others but the set decorator? Needs to get their eyes checked. The castle walls were covered in so much...noise. It distracted me a lot.

mmmmyes - I went to go see it last night ^_^. I did enjoy it muchly - I do think it was the best of the 4 movies so far. And did a much better job thanthe last movie of conveying important info from the books. I only noticed a few not-that-consequential things left out. *still annoyed that they never actually said who the marauders were from the 3rd movie -,- *

I was trying, really really hard, not to pay attention to what was missing from the books and just enjoy it as a fantasy film. But... the fact that they kept zooming in on Moody's face everytime something bad was going on really irritated me. If I hadn't read the books, I still would have known who put Harry's name in the Goblet.
I miss Richard Harris so, so much. Michael Gambon isn't that bad but the way he plays Dumbledore is less...respectably crazy and more of just the crazy. That could, of course be the director's fault but he was kind of like that in the last one too. I twitched when he flung himself at Harry in the outer chamber after the Goblet scene.
What I did love about this movie? The Weasley Twins. I love them so much!
Hey, they're starting to film the next one! Yaaay. It'll be out in 2007, according to imdb.

*nods* Yeah... I noticed that they made the Moody stuff a lot more obvious than it was in the book.... or maybe it was just that I knew and knew what to look for - honestly I don'tknow.. though I do think at the very least they had fewer red herrings than the book did. But, then again, it wasn't nearly as Smack-you-over-the-head blatant as lupin being a werewolf.
And Yes - At first I didn't think that the actors did nearly a good enough job as the Weasley twins in the earlier movies, but they're really coming into their roles ^_^.
And Woot for the next movie! ALthough I think the 5th book is my personal least favorite >>

5th book is my least favorite too and I'm not sure how they're going to tie the books in without a little exposition about how the ministry and Dumbledore had "the parting of the ways" from the fourth movie. Since it didn't show that. At all. I dooo hope they do justice to Snape's Worst Memory (my favorite part of book 5!) and the Weasley Twins' grand departure with Peeves. I don't think they've shown Peeves since the Columbus films?

Raesha When I heard the donation items was a parasol, my first thought was of Lilithia too. xd Ah! That didn't actually occur to me. My initial reaction was "OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG", as I have a character on NWN who -ALWAYS- has a parasol with her. Then I proceeded to sell off things I don't wear anymore, as to create an avatar version of her. Because I totally rule like that.  Then I made an avatar version of Lilith.  Lilly still needs a bit of polishing off... ^_^;

Oh Crap I just payed 24k for a bust and it turns out completly wrong whith the colors.
It says clearly like 10 times in my request thread what colors should be used for hair and eyes and especially that the hair should'nt be yellow and here I get bright yellow hair and grey eyes.
Artists did'nt have the right colors among his pencils, if he had read my order he could have told me that and I would'nt have comissioned him. I canceled the other picture I've ordred from same artists and then he says he want 5k for the sketch he has allready started but I can't even see it cause he threw it away. sad
What to do?

I would not pay for either. First off, you don't have to pay until you see the art. Second it is the artists job to draw according to what you request. If they screw up it's there own fault and you shouldn't have to pay/Or they should fix it, or maybe give a discount.
Btw, i'm not knocking any artist that makes a mistake, but it seems wrong to demand payment and act like this when it's clear this person messed up the request.

At the absolute least making you pay for the 2nd when he's not even showing it to you is crap.
And whenever I do commissions I've always been under the impression that if the artist screws something up (misreading a request) then it's their fault - especially if you said it in the description. Now if it's something you forgot to add into a description but they ask for after the fact, it's grey area - I usually fix it, but am annoyed.
However, with real media, things are tricky. I agree - he should have told you ahead of time that he didn't have the proper colors to do your commission. I'd say if the colors aren't THAT far off - you request he fix it if he wants the gold. It's what you commissioned him for and he didn't tell you that he couldn't do it. Maybe he can get the proper color and blend it. Maybe he could touch it up digitally. But yeah. When you take a commission, you're obligating yourself to draw what the other person wants. Not what you think is a good approximation unless theyre giving you a lot of leeway. If he ever wants to do art remotely professionally, that's a lesson they're going to have to learn.

Glad you guys agree. I really don't feel like just paying 24000 and just leave it. It is very off whith the colors plus my boyfriend misses his beard. :/ (also stated among the info for request) I have over 100 comissions and I have never had this problem really. Sure the haircolor means trouble that's why I carved it whith a knife into my request thread. When this happend I just ask the artist to change it and they would...now it's tougher whith real media and all. :/ Here the actual picture I've been talking about: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/ChemieChan/Requested/charlottie019fl.jpgVery bright yellow hair on me and orange on my bf. (Should be dark blonde/beige and dark brown whith blue eyes instead of grey) If you click my signature there are the info clear as glass and ref photos plus ref pictures whith art for helping whith the colors. Example: Me Me Boyfriend
