Mitsuko felt herself being lifted out of unconciousness by a warm breeze. And then she was awake. "Didn't I pass out?" she asked Raiga, who was tapping his foot impatiently. "Yes, but Ranmaru revived you." Raiga answered.
Groaning, Mitsuko got up into a sitting position and opened a bowl of Ramen. mrgreen As she was eating, Raiga gave her some advice at last. "You see, I channel my chakra through both of my swords, but you only have your katana. That rat tail thing on your back is too short, so the balance will be disturbed." Raiga paused to see if Mitsuko was listening, then continued. "You must exercise more control over the tornado, or the attack might end prematurely."

"The point of the technique is to draw your opponent in, spin and shock them, and then hurl what's left of them over the horizon." Said Raiga with a evil smirk. "If you activate it too slowly, and do not control the direction it goes in, the entire thing is a waste of chakra. I can hold the tornado for up to 30 seconds and move it, if you can hold it for 20 seconds, that's good enough."
Throwing the empty bowl into the pile of empty bowls, Mitsuko started swirling her chakra. A loud whistle filled the surroundings and turned into a deafening roar as she charged the tornado with lightning. Molding the glowing column until the dragon's head was formed, Mitsuko started swirling even faster. Raiga jumped backwards with an insane smile and watched as the tornado started moving towards a tall tree.
Damn. I'm losing control. Thought Mitsuko as the tornado started bending out of shape. Mustering her remaining chakra, Mitsuko advanced towards the tree. Even before contact, all the leaves and some branches on the tree were sucked in. With one final push, the dragon slammed into the tree and demolished it.
4o metres away, Raiga asked Ranmaru. "How long did she hold it for?" "28 seconds, Raiga."

-Next Morning- "If, by any chance, that your enemy avoids Lightning Dragon Tornado, you must formulate another plan by temporarily retreating. I shall teach you a good escaping move that will buy you some time and could possibly kill your enemy if he's stupid."
"This move is called "Wings of Steel", with this move, you're sending an electric shock wave into nearby surroundings to weaken crevices in the foundations."
"what's the point of that?" asked Mitsuko. "Baka! Let me explain!" shouted Raiga. "with this move you can cause a rockslide or a groud collapse. Observe!"
Raiga then started running up the cliff side. As he ran, he put away his two swords and made several hand seals. "Ninpou: Hi no Hagane" The cliff side beneath him heaved and collapsed behind him as he ran.

"This jutsu is exceedingly easy to perform' said Raiga as he came back. "now you try it."
Mitsuko shouldered her katana and ran up the cliff side. After making the hand seals, however, the cliff side INFRONT of her started collapsing. Stifling a scream, Mitsuko jumped on each of the advancing boulders and finally made it to the top.
Raiga was not impressed."What was that! why did you send the electric field into the rocks infront of you?"

"But it's hard to concentrate when you're focusing on the path in front of you!" retorted Mitsuko. "B4KA!""Who told you to concentrate on your path? just concentrate on the jutsu!" snapped Raiga.
"But what if there the enemy got to the cliff top before you and waited to ambush you once you're up?" "That never happens, and if it does; just pound him into a bloody pulp!" "You obviously won't be as ready to fight as he is."
Sensing that this argument wasn't going anywhere, Raiga made an ultimatum:"Fine, focus on the path in front of you, and spread the field behind you!"

By the end of the day, the cliffside was so severely damaged that Mitsuko had to climb the pile of rubble at the bottom to get to the cliff. She was scratched and bruised and covered in dust. Raiga had already left and she was out of Ramen. Mitsuko sat down on the rubble and fell asleep.
Suddenly, Mitsuko was in her room and there was a bowl of Ramen on her desk. She was just about to open it when a roar came from outside. She opened the door and came face to face with a huge fox with 9 tails, as she stared, the fox transformed into a blonde haired kid. The kid smiled to her and asked for something to eat. Mitsuko remembered her bowl of Ramen and gave it to the 9-tails kid. The kid thanked her and said he'll repay her someday.

When Mitsuko woke up, dawn was approaching. She felt refreshed and full, even when she knew that she had not had dinner the day before. As she was on her way to the Ramen bar for breakfast, she saw her Sensei from the academy. "Shuji-sensei!"she called. Her sensei turned and groaned:" Sorry Mitsuko, I didn't bring money today so you'll have to pay for your own Ramen.
Ignoring the snide comment, Mitsuko told Shuji about the problems of learning the Avalanche technique.

"Remember how fast you ran up the tree in the Academy?" asked Shuji-sensei. "If you run up the cliff really fast, you'll most likely avoid the falling rocks and be on the cliff top first. Mitsuko thought this was a good idea, but that meant that she had to work even harder on this jutsu.
After leaving the ramen bar, Mitsuko found Raiga at a funeral session. Raiga was crying and shouting passionately, so Mitsuko decided to go find a cliff by herself and go train there. As she walked, she took the strange short sword off her back and examined it. This sword came from her mother's clan, just like her katana once belonged to her father. She sliced the air with it and- the sword flashed violet.

Shouldering the short sword, she arrived at the spot and started training. However she found it hard to concentrate because she was thinking of the sword. She took out the sword again and cut the air with it. Nothing happened. Suddenly, A pack of wolves came out of nowhere and ran at Mitsuko.
Shouldering the sword and trying not to panick, Mitsuko focused her chakra and ran up the cliff side with astounding speed. "Hi no Hadane" she shouted as she made the hand seals. The Cliff side collapsed just as she reached the top and the rocks buried the wolf pack.
A long distance away, Raiga laughed and said to Ranmaru:
"That wolf pack genjutsu helped, didn't it?"

The next day, Mitsuko met Raiga by a pond. Raiga had some very shocking news. "The kuroski clan will shortly be taking over a village, you must come with us. "No thanks, I can manage." said Mitsuko. Taking over villages and killing people has never been high on her agenda.
Raiga seemed to understand and said:"well in that case, I'll be seeing you." As Mitsuko walked away, Raiga connected both his swords and fired a tremendous bolt of lightning at Mitsuko. She was caught off guard and hurled, unconscious, into the lake.
"Shame," said Raiga"I wanted to give her a funeral."

Mitsuko woke up by a fire. It was night time, for the fire shone very bright. There was a girl sitting beside her. "Oh, your awake." said the girl. "My name is Haku." Mitsuko thought that this was a strange name, but she didn't comment on it.
"You were in the water, so I fished you out." said Haku. "I was expecting Raiga to do something like that." Mitsuko was surprised. "You knew Raiga?" she asked. "No, but I know Ranmaru." Haku answered, "Ranmaru and I have the same eyes."

“I obviously can’t stay here any more.” said Mitsuko with a sigh. “I’ll have to got to the port and go to another village to train or something. But how do I know which village suits my style?” Haku gave an immediate answer:“ The best place for you to train is either hidden cloud of hidden snow village. You have the elemental affiliations of lightning, water, and wind.” Mitsuko knew she could use water techniques if she wanted to, but wind? Haku continued:“Because of your wind manipulating skill, you were able to learn Rairyuu Tatsumaki so quickly. Ice style techniques require control of both water and wind.” It is not good for a shinobi to be well versed in only one type of jutsu.”
What Haku said made sense, but Mitsuko didn’t know if she can learn to combine 2 elements. Haku knew that Mitsuko was unsure, so he made an offer: “I am an ice user my self, If you can learn one jutsu from me, then you are fully able to learn ice style techniques.

"This technique is called A thousand flying ice needles of death."said Haku. "There should be a body of water close to you to use this technique, but if you are skilled, you can use the moisture in the air." After saying this, Haku made several handseals with one hand and created thousands of needles from the surrounding pond. The needles were so htin that you almost caouldn't tell that they were made of ice. He directed the needles toward a tree and the needles sank in deep.
