Pulling a blade from one of the holsters within his shirt Neko too began to examine the curtains. “They look thin…but its not like they need to be used more than once. This should work.” Climbing onto a nearby end table Neko began to cut the curtain away from its hangings throwing one down and starting on the next. Hopefully two would be enough, two stories wasn’t too high. If they could get a little closer to the ground they would be able to jump down without any trouble.
“Riyo,” Climbing down Neko took hold of one of the curtains and started ripping it into long strips. “Keep a watch on the stairs. Make sure no one is coming. If they are, warn us.” That’s all they needed was for someone to walk in on them while they were trying to escape. At the moment they were basically trapped with no where to go.

Once the curtains were down, Blade took the other one and began to rip it into strips as well. Whenever this was done, he was going to try and make the best knots he could manage. It wouldn't be good if their escape rope came undone while they were still descending after all.
He then glanced over towards Riyo for a moment as Neko told her to stand watch. The thief wasn't so sure if she'd be able to handle things if people came, at least not in her current condition.
"If trouble comes, let me try and take of them first."

poke had already thought a step head. Instead of stopping, she sped right past hitsu and forwards, letting her nose lead the way untill she came to a small stand. Here, there was a man cooking what appeared to be chunks of meat on sticks, as well as a some sort of pasta.
"three please!" she asked, and as she exchanged the money for the food she turned around, asking hitsu and mitsu; "which ones would you like?"

Mitsu blinked looking at the meat on a stick and the pasta Poke was presenting her with. While she was familiar with the meat the noodles had her a little baffled.
"What is it?" Her eyes were wide as she stepped closer to examine it. It smelled really good and the very thought of food was making her mouth water. They hadn't eaten yet today and her stomach was reminding her of that on a regular basis.

At both of their requests, Riyo gave a nod and stood in the doorway, leaning against the frame. Her eyes watched straight ahead. She was relying on her ears for this one. Her hearing was still in tip-top shape, though it seemed to be one of the few things.
Her ears twitched at the sounds of the ripping fabric. But not because it was a foul sound... Just different. And it seemed to be the only thing breaking the silence. Her eyes then glanced toward the window they'd be making their escape out of. Little ideas whispered through her head, wishing to become plans. After they got out of here and continued on... What then?
She couldn't just stay. Deep down, she knew what could happen. And she knew that it was more than a possibility. But, to just leave them would be so... Inconsiderate. She knew they cared. Neko admitted he cared...
'Better hurt than dead.'
A dying voice spat out. It wasn't the voice of the man.. This she knew. It was the voice of reason. That didn't mean she was done arguing with herself, however. It wasn't just them she was concerned about... She didn't want to leave them for her own selfish reasons. They took care of her. Their expressions and words were kind to her. She enjoyed it. She felt almost spoiled by them. And... They were strong people! She was sure they... They could...
They could kill her if they needed to.
She gave a glance back to Neko. Sure, he could do it. He wasn't just strong, he was fast. He had those knives... She folded her hands together. She didn't want to think about things like that...

"I hope you know how to tie some good knots." Neko stated somewhat in the direction of Blade. At the moment his attention was on his task, cutting the strips to length and securing the ends with a tight knot. He wasn't to certain about his knots at first but a few hard tugs proved they wouldn't come loose easily if at all. Though there was no telling how the fabric would hold out when weight was applied to it. They would have to go down one at a time to make sure they didn't fall.
This wasn't exactly how Neko had planned this evening to go. Go out, have a bit of fun at other's expense and come back safe and sound. Of course, if all went well they would still manage to get back at least mostly safe and sound but the fun part had completely eluded them. Looking up to see Riyo in the doorway a slight smile started to cross his lips as he directed his attention back to his job.
Maybe next time.

Continuing to tie knots along with Neko to craft their makeshift rope, the thief nodded slightly. After tying a few, he also tested them to make sure they wouldn't come undone with a slight tug. So far, it was looking good, but he couldn't tell if it would still hold up well once they had to climb down with it.
"I.. kind of know how. Though I have to admit that I've escaped from more knots than tie them myself."
With a small sigh, he looked towards Riyo and the doorway for a moment, wondering if they'd be in the clear like this until they actually needed to leave. But they were almost done with the rope anyway, so hopefully they wouldn't need to deal with any guards or unwanted personnel any time soon.

Riyo's greusome thoughts were interrupted by a sound coming from down the hall. Her ears twitched at the sound as she peeked her little head out the door. Someone was coming up the stairs. As quietly as she could, she moved back into the room and closed the door as softly as possible.
Her ear was promptly pressed against the door to hear what they might be saying clearly.
"Man, did you see the way that girl looked at me while we were on patrol? She must like men of the law."
"Keep dreaming buddy. She was looking at me."
Riyo raised an eyebrow as they began passing. They obviously had no interest on what might be going on in this room... They were too busy discussing women to even sense something might be amiss.
"Hey. What's that?" One of them asked, the footsteps stopping just a little off from the door.
"Huh? What's what?"
"Look, there's something caught in that door..."
Riyo's eyes widened as she looked down. Her coat had gotten caught in the door. "Uh oh, nyu.." She commented quietly.
"Is that... Clothing fabric? Do you think we should take a peek in there?"
"Wouldn't hurt I guess..."
Riyo's eyes quickly shifted to Neko and Blade. "H-help.." She said quietly in their direction.

Focused on his task not much caught Neko's attention. It wasn't until Riyo had closed the door that Neko realized there were people coming their direction. Suddenly frozen on the spot trying not to make a sound he listened to their conversation. Hopefully they would pass by and not give this room a second thought, but that hope however was dashed quickly against the rocks.
"s**t," Neko's qaze shifted around the room trying to find a place to hide. Looking back at Riyo realizing she was in their direct path he told her the only thing he could think of as he moved to the wall to keep out of sight and slowly edged toward the door where she was. "Act cute." He whispered.

Blade had noticed the problem right around the same time Neko had. Frowning a bit at this, he got up and slowly made his way towards the door as well. He couldn't tell how many people were on the other side of the door but they were going to need to act fast. Depending on what happened exactly they may need to try and knock out the guards quick.
Getting on to the other side of the doorway, the thief looked to Neko before uttering a few words under his breath, "If needed... aim straight for the head..."
As he spoke, he slowly drew out his sword. the thief wasn't thinking of cutting anyone, but the hilt could be an effective blunt weapon if needed.

Riyo tried to process Neko's words. Act cute? Her eyes examined him as if she didn't believe he was serious. Alright. Act cute.
As the door opened, Riyo was standing there with big eyes, biting her lip as if she wasn't sure what was happening.
"Huh? Well what's this?" The first guard asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I dunno why she's here, but you gotta admit she's cute." The second one looked a little older. Having facial hair does that to you.
Riyo looked up at the both of them as if she was unsure what exactly was happening. Her cat ears gave a twitch. "Riyo doesn't know where her family is... Guard offered to help... But Riyo doesn't know where he went."
Both of the men looked at eachother as she spoke, a bit confused at her choice of words and the fact that she spoke in the 3rd person.
The older of the men pulled his buddy to the side with a big grin. "Looks like we've found ourself a winner, rookie." The other guard looked at him for a minute, not understanding at first. Then he sorta realized what he was hinting to. "Nooo... She's-" "Dumb as bricks? Maybe. But haven't you ever wanted to have fun with one of those animal people?"
Riyo watched both of them speak. It wasn't like she couldn't hear them. Dumb as bricks? Her eyes narrowed, if only for a moment before they turned around.
"Well, little lady. You're in luck. We'll help you find your family... But why don't we go out for a drink first?" It was the older one speaking again, leaning into the door frame as he spoke. Not surprisingly, he was too busy focusing on Riyo to notice anything unusual. Go figure.
"R-Riyo isn't thirsty.." She commented and took a few steps back. Unfortunately, for every step back she took the man took two steps ahead. "Oh, but you will be when I get through with you." Cliche line, but enough to scare any girl shitless. "Hey man, you do what you want... But I don't wanna get in trouble with the higher ups." He mumbled and walked away.
"Bah, chicken." He called back, but didn't dare take his eyes off Riyo. Riyo's red eyes stared up at him as if she was staring up at death himself. She glanced over to the two as the man grabbed her arm.

As the men spoke with Riyo, Blade listened and waited. So there were two of them, which shouldn't be a problem for Neko and he to take care of. Still it wasn't quite the right time to strike.
The thief twitched slightly as he heard one of the men speak as if he was wanting to do a few things to the poor girl. And that last comment the one guy had said made him sick. He barely knew Riyo but he didn't think this sort of thing should happen to anyone.
With the guy's comrade out of the picture, he quickly raised up his weapon and lunged forth while the guard grabbed a hold of the cat demon. Without a word, he tried to bring the hilt of his sword down onto the guard's head as hard as he possibly could. He could only hope it was enough to take care of the guy as quickly and as silently as possible.

Neko stepped forward as well aiming to pry the man's hands away from Riyo. At the same time he was hoping to leave him immobile and unable to grab for a weapon while Blade finished the job. Everything seemed to be happening so fast and Neko was more than ready for it all to be over. Right now the high life of thievery had lost its edge for the moment and he wanted nothing more than to go back to their Inn and kick back for a while.

The sound that was made when Blade's sword collided with the man's head was sort of a cross between a cracking and a crunching sound. He had obviously not seen it coming, and had also not realized what was happening when it did. A sort of "durrr" sound escaped his mouth as he hit the ground.
Riyo had jumped about 3 feet back as he fell unconscious, waiting a moment before staring down at him with hate. She folded her arms in front of her and walked over to the man's side. "Riyo isn't dumb as bricks." She spat out and gave him a swift kick in the side. Nothing too harsh, but enough to make her feel better at least. She shivered with disgust and started to whipe her hands off. She felt unclean after being touched by such a foul man. "Blech."

After sucessfully knocking out the guy, Blade glanced over his shoulder to see if the other guard would be rushing back. For now he didn't see any of the sort. So with a sigh, he sheathed his weapon and frowned down at the unconscious man.
"We better hurry up before something like this happens again..."
Hoping nothing else would go wrong, he looked at Riyo, then Neko, then back to the window curtains they were working at before they were interrupted by the b*****d that now laid out cold on the floor. They probably didn't have to worry about this particular guard any more, but everyone else in the tower was a potential hazard to them still.
Glancing back at Neko before kneeling down by the curtains again to continue tying the strips together, he spoke up.
"Sorry this little expedition didn't quite get to be as thrilling as we hoped. But if everything else goes alright, you should be fine to walk around the public still without worry about the guards... may be the same for Riyo too."
