Toshi watched as the mercenary took out a few shuriken and let one of them soar. He blinked as the person looked murderous. He stared at the guy he nearly got hit in the eye but he narrowly avoided it as he spun. It clipped his cheek just below his left eye. 'That was TOO close. I need to make a diversion some how. . . I think I know what to do.' He smiled as he made hand signs and began to run towards the mercenary clones began to break away as he shifted to the right slightly and stopped fifteen feet from the him. He and the clones looked at one another and smirked widely. He hoped this would be enough to throw off his would be killer.

The mercenary sighed and rolled his eyes. "You think Bunshin no Jutsu is going to work on me? I'm not an idiot." He blinked at the clones unable to tell them apart. "That just means you aren't as stupid as I thought you once were that is all nothing more. Even you ninjas get confused over simple stuff quite easily sometimes." He didn't want to admit it, but he couldn't even tell one clone from another. He pondered on what he would do as he took a few steps back in an attempt to keep them all within his eyesight. He wondered if this boy had any more trick up his sleeve. So far all he had was a bunch of Fuuma which he suspected had run out of recently. He smirked as he sized the boy up. 'This is going to be fun... But I can't let my guard down either. He's not so much a novice where I can beat him easily.'

The Mercenary laughed slightly but it caught in his throat as he remembered how scary the kid looked as he started the fight. He took a half step toward Toshi and spun on the ball of his foot. The end result was that he had kicked the poor kid straight in his chest and sent him flying a few steps. He was glad he was finally to give the kid the pain he deserved for almost killing him. He spun the kunai playfully around one of his fingers as he slowly walked over to the boy. He was confident that he was going to win. Even with all the slashes that felt as if his body were in a forge and he was the hot metal. He was going to enjoy giving this punk some pain were it the last thing he did.

Toshi gasped as he felt the world grow darker. He felt as if his feet left the ground. Were they? He slide to a stop and panted still holding onto his side. He must have been kicked into the air... He took a moderated breath and felt around for anything as the mercenary took slow measured steps towards Toshi. He hoped his face didn't give away how afraid he was at the moment. I mean for god sake! The man survived an explosion at almost point blank range. He finally felt what he was searching. He grabbed it quickly and launched the mans throat. Now was not the time to be squeamish. He had to kill or be killed. It had finally clicked inside of him.

The rogue nin once more clashed with Kimiko's chakra born duplicates, the girl once more skillfully blending in amidst them and avoiding even so much as a scratch herself. Say what one would about her, Kimiko Momoe was little short of a genius when it came to the heat of battle. Kimiko and her clones worked of single mind, even if they were technically a separated consciousness for the moment. They worked in a harmonious synchronized dance, their moves glancing off the blows of the Rogue nin, or otherwise avoiding them all together. Despite their advantage in both numbers and age, they were little more scratching the surface of what it meant to challenge this girl. For though indeed she seemed many, the truth of the matter was that they had only one opponent, if they didn't include the boy who had even now joining the fray alongside her, having dispatched, as she had, one of their commanders.

Just what WERE these kids? Just what sort of monsters did Oto forge underneath it's supposed curtain of peace? The village of Oto was supposed to be weak, toppling, run down...yet these kids...

Kimiko was hell bent to endure through whatever they threw at her. This was where she was going to draw her line in the sand. No invader was going to get past her... no one was going to attack her home! She would defeat these foes with everything that she had learned across the years...everything that she had worked so hard to achieve. These soldiers would fall to her blade...

They would fall before a dance of steel and fire...
