"Wait, Max... You said I could talk to you, right? Well, I feel like I've gotta tell someone about this... Although it may kill your trust in me..." Strobe said, laying back in the water and floating a little.

Crow turned an eye to Jackie as she began to cry, he started to listen to her story, he picked up a rock and began to toss it into the air to occupy himself, the story had drawn his mind from his own dilemma. However, when she came to the focal point of the story he stopped playing with the rock as his fingers suddenly seemed to latch themselves around it in a death grip. Doctor K had told him about the dark history of mankind, their nature and deeds in the outside world. Yet of all the things he'd heard this particular thing always seemed to inspire rage in him, no matter how small the mention. Oblivious to his own tension Crow's fingers closed into a fist, crushing the rock that they held into dust. When her story had finished however he was able to relax, though Doctor K's horrible representation of the facts still resonated wothin his mind. He was still relieved to know that she had gotten away safely.

"i have trouble trusting anyone anyway after how my dad used to say he loved me before my mom died, but i did say you could talk to me. i wont judge you, so feel free to say whatever you want." max started to turn around and face strobe. once he was turned around enough to see him clearly, he saw strobe laying back in the water, without clothes, and quickly turned back around to avoid staring at him.

"Well... I already said that I was a volunteer for this program, right? Well, I volunteered for something else, too. Not all of the experiments died of The Disease. Me and you are living proof of that.... But me, more so... I used to, willingly, kill the experiments whose powers were starting to manifest so that the lab could bring them under their control. At some point, though, I guess I must've been fed up with my job and asked to forget everything. They complied." Strobe said, not stopping at any point in his story for fear of losing the courage to tell it again.

Jackie sighed heavily as she wiped away her tears, glad to finally be able to open herself up to her friends. If truth be told, Jackie was not the most liked person throughout her life. She was constantly teased and tortured by many people. She was verbally, physically, and sexually abused by all of her classmates before finally leaving. She walked and walked until she collapsed in exhaustion. A man helped her up until she passed out. And when she awoke, she was like she was now. The man was most likely Max's father.

max lowered himself in the water. "only if you want me to. but there are many reasons her name could be in your file. for instance, you could be related."

"No, it says that all of my family died in the fire. It could be wrong, but don't you think that if we were related, while they were messing around with our DNA, the might've found out that someone survived?" Strobe said, pondering the thought.
