Bob smiled and unplugged his mental interface helmet, " now then, back to the origional purpose behind this, it's time to test your mental interface, so plug it on in and get in the drivers seat...."

As he spoke, Bob climbed out of the driver's seat and into one of the passenger seats, then motioned for Natalia to take the controls. " it won't take too long to get used to it...I dont think...."

"Your words inspire great confidence." Natalia said as she changed seats. She was looking forward to using the interface but didn't think it necessary to share the fact. Concentrating she imagined the link not growing weaker but that the signals were getting fuzzy and difficult to discern, as if there were some sort of mental static affecting it. She wasn't entirely certain the tactic would work but she wanted to give it a try. After all, it wouldn't do to let Bob have free access to her surface thoughts and emotions all the time. The reverse applied as well but Bob was more open then her so she figured it would take him longer to become uncomfortable with the contact.
"Or maybe he won't, the giant spaz." She thought to herself.

((oh he wont rofl ))

Nodding, Bob showed her where to plug in her helmet and reclined in the hammock-like chair. not really much I have to worry about, it's not like she'll be able to accidentally activate the self destruct....and even then she doesnt know the password....heh, even I don't know the password unless necessary....good old self hypnosis, the best way to keep secrets a secret....did the link just go fuzzy for a moment? hmm....perhaps she feels the need to erect a mental wall....oh well, it's her mind. if she wants to have a blocked out space, it's not like I have a right to try and blast it.

After leaving the Tentarentek at a nearby spaceport, Keal ahn walked into a shady cantina and sat down at a table. The latest Holonet news brought the same old story of unrest in the republic and more jedi deaths, some were his doing some were not, all he cared was that he got this job done so he could move on to the next.
He scanned the area for his latest target and kept his hand close to his vibro-dagger.The Red Nikto ignored the Twi'lek dancer hovering around him and waited.

((maybe we should change threads now?))

"Hum...There's a space station nearby, should I try to get us there for practice? We can make repairs once were done practicing as well." Natalia said practically, it was a specific target to aim for and one capable of sending out a rescue ship if something went wrong. She wasn't really worried but there was no sense in being too bold given the fact they already had one burn out leaving the atmosphere.

kotor was flying through the city. lasers were flying towards his craft. kotor pulled back and fired a laser into one of the ships. after that one laser ripped through kotors ship. he was heading towards a building. he decided what to do. the ship crashed through the building.

Keal'ahn felt the impact more than he heard it. he pushed a pile of rubble out of the way to come face to face with his target."well at least he's dead.." he mused to himself as he walked over to the wrecked speeder to investigate.

((never mind the only general space one is for the ball, wich I want no part of.))
Natalia took a moment to clear her mind of distractions. She had found that her biggest problem with the sync program had been not focusing clearly enough. The wrong word wouldn't light up, instead nothing at all happend because there wasn't a targeted signal. Still she wasn't concerned she could focuse better then most when she had to.

Bob simply watched as Natalia worked with the Bee. After a few moments, he spoke up, " perhaps if you didn't focus as much on keeping a wall around your thoughts you could sync with more ease....I promise not to go digging."

After saying this, Bob chuckled and thought, well, if nothing else I could probably give her better instructions with the link fully active.....

Natalia frowned as she considered but in the end dropped her barrier. She didn't think Bob would go looking but it was annoying that he didn't have to to read her surface thoughts. She wasn't used to sharing them voluntarily let alone reflexively. As soon as she did the Bee became far more responsive which made her feel a little embarrassed thought she wasn't sure why.

Bob smiled as he felt the barrier drop, and just as he had promised he didn't go rooting around. With a nod, Bob began using the link to communicate in feelings what he couldn't find words for, and words to shape the feelings into ideas.....

"now then....if you put the thing in the doohickey, and the dealie with the joozahit the ship will jump to hyperspace....but if you put the thing in the joozahit with the dealie on backup, it activates the star drive....which is currently toastied...but, for maneuvering engines and the normal flight thingies all you have to do is calculate your trajectory and how many kilojoules of output you want going through each maneuvering output and viola, perfect control over maneuvaribility....though, it requires a good amount of physics knowledge and great farmiliarity to be able to get the calculations done as fast as they need to be in traffic...."

Natalia did her best to fallow his instructions and somehow managed to get to the station despite them without incident. Docking was a bit tricky but she managed it well enough though no one watching would have believed at she was actually an experienced pilot.

As Bob watched, he nodded a bit. " your getting the hang of the ship....with a bit more practice I think you'll be used to the system and ready to try high speed stunts...."
PostPosted: Sun May 14, 2006 5:27 pm

Natalia nodded as the last docking clamp found purchase on the outside of the ship and they were pulled inside one of the smaller airlock docks. Repressurizing the area would take a couple more minutes but the station was efficient.
"Yah, I'd like that." She said seriously, it had been a while since she had left orbit for anything but short distance maneuvering in order to keep her pilots license current.

Bob smiled as he thought, now then, to repair the star drive....where am I going to find a toaster....well, a toaster and a burned out hyperdrive....maybe there's a junk yard around....that would be perfect for my needs, I'd be able to find constituent parts for my star drive for cheap prices...and since all the parts that made it up were completely useless in thier former functions....except the toaster.... I should be able to use the ancient art of haggling....and if that fails I can hypnotise the dealer and make a fair bargain....

Shaking his head a bit, he looked over to Natalia, " so, do you know where I can find a junk yard? or...if one exists...a junk planet? oh....and a place that sells toasters...."
