Ashley decided to interrupt. "Daddy, what'd you get me for my birthday?"
"I can't tell you, honey." Alex said and ruffled her hair.

"7 years old!" Ashley said and seemed very excited. "I'll be a big kid!"
Alex nodded. "Yep. It seems like only yesterday my little Ashley was still swinging her wooden sword around, saying she wanted to be like her daddy."

Ashley smiled. "That'd be awesome!" Then she frowned. "Ummm, I'm not sure if the school would allow it though. I wanted to open a sweets shop." The small girl sighed. "But nobody will come either. They're all so busy these days."
