Vain sighed and conjured a small pronged device and jabbed Tatsu with it, sending a volt of electricity through his body and rendering him unconscious. He turned to Pippa and smiled. "Gather enough courage to face me child? Not a smart thing to do." He placed his katana blade on Tatsu's throat and said, "You understand what I mean, right? Any woman would fear for her lover's life, but then again you're still under the impression that I wouldn't kill him, aren't you?" Vain snickered a little, his eyes still as depressing as ever.

"I wouldn't care if he died at this point. I've learned all there is to know about the Twilight. It react to his emotions on every level, becoming more powerful as he becomes more emotional. Due to this power, though, his mind and muscles demand more oxygen, and the heart pumps faster. Once the Twilight, leaves, however, the rate at which blood was pumped causes blood bessels to break. That is the entire definition of the Twilight. Everything else is impossible to determine." Vain began to put pressure on his katana, slowly drawing blood from Tatsu. "Right now, I'm more interested in human emotion itself. As you can tell, I don't have any anymore, and I was too young back then to remember them. Since I'm already involved with you people, you shall be my guinea pigs again. Once this test is done, I'll be able to determine Tatsu's full strength, and he is no longer needed alive for that calculation."

Pippa put her hand out and growled while watching Vain. "Let him alone Vain...take me...I'm the one with all the emotions here..." Gritting her teeth she looked at the ground as she seemed to be standing in a puddle of her own blood. It wasn't very big but it was big enough for her to stand in. "Take me damn it...why do you think Tatsu is trying to kill Taqune? Because he made it so that I was calm and not emotionial...take me please?" She inched slightly closer to them hoping that Vain would take the knife away from Tatsus neck.

Taqune awoke finally from his deep sleep the energy he had used was restored and thanks to Marrow he was fully healed plus some.Taqune looked up from his resting spot he was in his were-form.His body was curled up his tail near his face."What a time that was."He didn't know what was going to happen around here anymore but he would have to talk to Vain about the Twilight even if he was the enemy.Taqune reverted into his neko form and sat on the bench next to the sleeping Marrow.He bent down and kissed her cheek,"thank you for helping me."Taqune would just sit and think about Tatsu,Pippa,Vain,Marrow,and Galea his life had become so complex,he needed to sort things out.

And with a sudden, terrible tremor upon the ground, a massive beast comes forth. A large, oblonge head was at the front of the beast, with a smoothened, black gem at the center of its forehead. On either side were segmented, black eyes. Each segment had a single, gray white iris which continuesly scanned and moved about, looking around the area. Suddenly, its head jerked back as it roared, cracks breaking upon the ground, bursts of the ground and dust shooting off from the terrible force. A high pitched squeel filled the forest and carried far, far beyond it. The squeel soon turned into a garbled, choked sound, then into a deepened roar. A creature at well over twenty feet in height with an enormous, humanoid upper body. Many large, powerful muscles made this creature's body up with throbbing veins found in several places. Its two front legs, or rather its arms, were thick and misproportioned with its body...far longer and larger then what they should have been for the torso which supported it. They too were comprised of powerful muscles with many veins. Black, smoothened spikes extended from the elbows, wrists, and biceps of the creature. The bicep spikes were of varying lengths and different, almost randomized places. Its hands were almost impossible to see, covered by many, many thick tendrils that grew from its wrists. These tendrils made the hands look much like the paws of a shaggy dog, actually. Under these were long, slender fingers with grooved claws at the end.

The tendrils themselves were deadly, comprised of many small, grooved, needle like razor spines that barely poked through the flesh of the tendrils. From the creature's back protruded a pair of large, arachnid like legs which merely hang, bent like a spider's legs yet seemed to be limp, with ends that resembled a grab's claw slightly. The entire white beast's lower section thinned out compared to the upper body. Its hind legs were almost exactly like the hind legs of a cricket, bend back, though not as slender. The legs were actually comprised of thick, scale like plates and whit spikes near the feet. The feet themselves had curved, black nail claws at the ends of them, the feet themselves two-toed. Finally, the end of the creature was a very long, plated white tail. The tail ended in a thick bush of hair that resembled the end of a horse's tail. Only, at the end of this tail, past the hair, was a large...spear head shaped blade made out of metal. The tail fell as it landed, crashing down into the fountain and crushing it as well as anything in its way.

Taqune heard someone enter the courtyard he looked around for them seeing the person he smiled and headed over to them.He didn't come face to face he came from behind her watching her and reading the book she had with her."what is that?"Taqune spoke softly so he would startle her or at least he tried not to startle her.He was standing behind her a smiled on his face his ears hidden with his hair;but his tail and fur covered body was easy to tell he was a neko.His shirt was flapping in the wind as he waited for her answer.

Taqune took a step back as she jumped anyway."Taqune looked around and didn't see anyone else so he figured she was speaking of him."If you mean what am I,I am a werecat and that is my tail,"Taqune's tail wrapped around his waist,"and I am sorry for frightening you."Taqune was being nice as he could,the wind picked up and his ears were revieled to the girl as well."These are my ears so don't do anything hastey with that book of yours."A smiled came over his face as he spoke,he looked gentle enough,and sounded gentle as well.

On the horizon a small black speck could be seen speeding toward the courtyard. Ten large feathered black wings beat in unison, propelling the dark figure toward her destination at a dizzying pace. As it neared it swooped in low, coming through one of the entrances and touching down with a strong impact, skidding nearly 30 feet until it finally halted in place. A great deal of dirt and dust was kicked up in the wake of this figure and a deepening crevase marked its path. As the debris began to settle the tips of all ten wings began to peak out of the top and slowly the rest of the pitch apendages were revealed.

In the depression in the ground was a woman with raven hair and vixen features, the pointed ears standing erect atop her head and the long red tail she bore twitched side to side behind her. She was crouched with her left leg bent beneath her and her right outstretched to the side, her left hand on her adacent leg and the right palm placed against the ground. Two deep red eyes gazed at Citedal from under a veil of black tresses. In short- Scytheress was pissed.

The Fox-Elf stood then, folding her wings down against her back and stepping from the skid she'd created upon landing at the un-godly speed she had. She padded forward until she was just outside Citedal's rushing path of destruction and narrowed her gaze as she took in its full scent and felt the sheer power coming off of it. She had business with this creature and she wasn't about to let it get away with causing Yusake to slap her as he did. Scythe was determined to deal with this beast and then repay Yusake for the bruise forming on her cheek. The great wings on her back dispersed in a flurry of feathers.
