*Chris flew out over downtown Midvale. He had stopped some looters and some craqzy guy in brown and yellow who called himself Shocker. Nothing too bad. He noticed the sky lit up towards the edge of town.*
A fire?
*He turned in the direction of the light and put on some speed.*

Danielle gasped for air as she awoke only to send herself into a coughing fit as the entire basement was filled with smoke!
*Cough Cough!!*
"Robert!"
*She got up from the slab of metal she was not longer attached to and reached out to her friend. Her body ached unlike anything she'd ever felt in her life. She fought though the pain and made it to Robert.*
"Robert Please! Speak to me."
*When He didn't respond she Armored up into Witchblade and carried him though the massive house. Although it was dark, Witchblade covered her entire head with a rebreather, and night vision adaptations.*

*Chris landed out front of the burning mansion. He didn't recognize the place and there wasn't much he could do to put out the fire. But he could bust in there and save anyone trapped inside. The fire wouldn't affect his armor and he didn't need to breath of course.
Chris kick the front door off the hinges and stormed inside.*

*Through her own coughing she barely heard the outsider calling for them.*
"HERE!!!"
She shouted while coughing. She had no idea were the exit was, Night vision did nothing if she couldn't see past the smoke, And She was very worried if Robert was breathing! This much smoke he would suffocate!
"Hang on Robert!"

*Chris followed the voices until he found Dani and Robert. He threw Robert over one shoulder and Dani over the other. A chunk of burning ceiling crashed down in front of them, barring their way. His only choice was to try and go upstairs.
Chris hurtled steps two at a time and the smoke cleared somewhat. He blasted out a huge window with his amulet and tightened his grip on Dani and Robert.*
HOLD ON!
*Taking a running start, Chris jumped through the window and to waiting lawn below.*

"Ouf!" Dani Grunted when they landed in the grass, it wasn't a soft landing, but nothing was broken.
"Chris! Robert is hurt. We were electrocuted!" She was rambleling and in a panic. She'd have to thank him later. "We have to take him to the school to be healed!"

*This was going to be a pain.*
Okay...I can get us back. But it won't be quick if I'm taking both of you.
*Chris hugs Robert to his chest.*
Grab on to my neck, Dani. Don't worry about me breathing because I don't need to with the armor.
*Dani latches on tight and Chris takes off. It was a bit awkward and he couldn't go full speed but they would get there.*

When they finally reached the school, Dani and Chris rushed Robert to the Healer Josh Foley. But as always Josh Kicked them out to he could work.
"I hope He's ok!"
Dani was very upset on the verge of tears.

*Chris armored down and wrapped his arms around Dani.*

"I can't believe what's happened. We were just going to the movies!"
*Then she looked down at her hands and saw the blood. She missed it before...*
"Uh! What..."
*She ran over to the sink to wash her hands, There was no cut in her self... The blood was not her own. She looked in the mirror to see her shirt was spattered with it. She whispered*
"Oh God.. What have I done?"

*She took a breath and tried to remember but it was all so foggy*
"Okok! So umm Robert and I were going to the Bat-Cave Theater, but before we got there... Something happened... and the next thing I remember..."
She started to cry
"We are strapped to these tables, If one of us moves the other get electrocuted...And this guy said he was going to kill us for the WitchBlade. Then All I remember is the pain! And we woke up in the fire..."

*Chris hugged Dani close and stroked her hair.*
It's okay...you're safe now.
*I should call Cassie, he thought. They're best friends...she would want to be here for her friend.
Chris grimaced and fished his phone out while continuing to hug Dani. He was rather proud of that feat. He managed to send Cassie a text.

The next morning Cassie woke up.. She noticed Dani wasn't around. For roommates they sure were missing each other alot... Cassie shrugged when she got outside her room. Cissie came up to her.
"OMG! Cass Mr.Wayne did the worst thing possible to those of us remaining at the party.."
" Uh..? Detention for a month..?"
" No worse... he called........OUR PARENTS!"
" Oh lord no.."
" Yep all the parents of the football team, cheerleading squad, and basketball team.. They are all in a meeting right now.. Your mom's there too... Come on we gotta."
"Nuh-uh... I'm not going.."
" It's not like we gotta choice.."
" But..but.."
Cassie sighed and went with Cissie. She really didn't want to see her mom because they always argued.. and with Cissie's mom there... well it was going to be a mess. Helena Sandsmark and Bonnie King never got along at all. Cassie felt like she was doomed... as she was looking at the floor..

Cassie was in the meeting with teachers, students, and .... their parents. *sigh* Cassie's mom kept talking about how the school needed more safety measures and not to let the students run wild...etc...etc. Cassie looked at her phone as she got Chris's text.. Her eyes grew wide. Was he hurt?
" Excuse me.."
Cassie walked out the room which ticked off her mom. But she didn't care she was worried about Chris..
"Pride be damned.."
She immediately called Chris..
"Are you okay? What's going on?!"
