The fighting styles, architecture, and cuisine of the RP all take a little from a lot of cultures.

I know, it is up to us to decide the culture, but I'm saying japanese because we use the japanese names for everything. Plus, most of the characters have japanese, or atleast asian names. That's the main reason I say we're in a japanese setting. Hey Greg, while I have your attention, is the crew reworking the Bijuu? I couldn't find the Demon application thread. I want to get Shiemi Nameko's application all ready so as soon as I've been here four months and Laxus reaches chunnin rank, I can turn her profile and application in. sweatdrop

Though depending on the demon you want, you may have to wait a little longer.

Oh, I'm willing to wait. xD Shiemi is going to be my second character, so for about another three months and a chunnin exam later, I'd be able to use her. xD But I'm wanting to have her using the Hachibi. I think it would be funny since a major part of her back story is her father being afraid of the Ichibi host. But I'd be afraid of David too if I were a citizen of Sunagakure.

why limericks? because Haikus are boring. Japan is great for many things, but I've never been a fan of it's poetry.

Hikaro_rin why limericks? because Haikus are boring. Japan is great for many things, but I've never been a fan of it's poetry. Eh, I'm an Otaku, and not just to anime. I guess you could call me a fanatic of the Axis countries. Except for Italy. I don't like Italy, it's only interesting moment was the Roman empire and most of europe can boast that as well. But Germany and Japan... Each has such a rich history and culture... I just like everything about both countries. ^.^ But yeah, Limericks are nice, but I've always found Haiku to be better. xD But then again, I'm actually soulful and reflective. I just don't like being like that, people tend to avoid someone like that. wink

Don't worry I'm sure you will find you don't love everything about all the mentioned countries. For instance you may find referring to yourself as an Otaku tends to suggest an unbathed 40 year old who never leaves his mom's basement. I'd prefer to stick with the English term geek, since it no longer carries the same image. Due to it's isolation Japanese is still borderline racist against foreigners who I understand are usually treated like celebrity lepers more than anything. The general mindset appears to be foreigners are fun to take a picture with, but don't stay near them long or you'll get sick/robbed etc. That is of course a generalization, you can't put everyone under the same label. There are of course more flaws, and the awesome outweighs them for the most part, but it's a good idea to notice them.
I can't say much about Italy other than their food is pretty damn good.
Dunno much about Germany either.
Seriously though no limericks? I thought yous people were creative!

Military training doesn't include how to locate and/or create a wifi signal?! For shame! I kid, of course. I've been on three different "Jobs" this week myself. One concrete patch job, one logging, which was most of the week (Also this morning.), and one in which we burned a farmer's field. That was fun. But really, I would think that creating a wifi signal would be in military training somewhere. It could be an invaluable asset! ... Maybe.

Somehow, both of my RPCs are waiting on you. I of course realize you have real life stuff going on, but I am quoting you to get your attention anyways because I'm a brat. (and it's been about 16 days, but who's counting?)
