Atem and Malik argued, Malik accusing Atem of making Bakura leave, and Bakura ignored Ember, save for breaking into a run.

"You've got to be kidding me." Bakura said, his eyes flooding with tears. "If this is the 'real' world, then what you and your friends are saying is right. 'Your' Bakura had just hit his head and I'm nothing more than a figment of his imagination. There is no 'my' world." He choked on his tears. "And because of that... I'm never going to see or be with my Malik at all... I already went through this once, why do I have to do all of this again?" He started to cry again. "I j-just want to be with him again..."

Bakura shrugged slightly, wiping his eyes with the back of his hand. "Maybe. Tell me... Ember?... in this world, are your Bakura and Malik together?"

Bakura smiled as well. "Then... then I wouldn't want to interfere with that. No matter how much of a b*****d the 'other' Bakura, the one you know, must be, he at least should deserve to be with someone. Malik's perfect." His eyes became a bit dreamy with his own memories of his Malik. "I don't even care if I do go back to my own world. You can do whatever you want to try and get the other Bakura back. Hit me over the head with a baseball bat or whatever."

"Of course." Bakura agreed, nodding his head. "Ishizu always knew what to do when Baldy-- er, Rishid, I mean-- was a complete idiot. She's probably saved all our lives a few times by stopping us from doing stupid things."

"Not at all." Bakura said, tilting his head back to look at the sky. "In the other world, my world, I was albino. So actually being able to be out in the sun without harm, it's... it's like heaven."

"This 'brother' you say I have... He's really the ring spirit's host, right?" Bakura asked, holding up the Millennium Ring. "Malik had gone through a very rough time before. He kept seeing these people, kept getting more and more insane, growing obsessed about some 'pharaoh'. One day he almost tried to kill me, and we had to take him to an asylum. When he woke up he thought he was a boy who had been raised underground and some 'other' half of him had killed his father. There were items, these seven 'Millennium' items, which had powers." Bakura sighed, running a hand over the Millennium Ring that he wore.
"When he finally woke up, he had thought he was in the middle of a duel. He didn't know who I was, not the real me, didn't know who his sister really was, or that she had been married. And since before he had acted like that, he and I were... well, together." Bakura blushed. "I had actually been raised by his family, since I was abandoned in the hospital by my adopted family after getting a serious sunburn. And when he woke up and didn't know who I was, who anybody was, at least, not anybody except those in his dream world... Your world, I guess it was... I knew that I couldn't try to like him as I used to. I was an alcoholic, and hardly ate, so I stayed in the attic all day listening to sad songs and reading through his diary over and over again." He looked down at the ground, saddened by this.
"I tried to change, tried to change for him, but it was so hard when he would look at me and only see the Bakura he knew in this world. One day he thought that I was treating him only as a vessel for his 'old' self. That all I wanted was the person who he used to be." He laughed bitterly at this. "Which is how I felt I was being treated just then. Anyways, he ran away, and went to the beach. He said that he liked me, so we... um, yeah..." He blushed again.
"And we were so happy. I had gotten him back, even if he didn't fully remember me. He told me what this world was about. How there were 'two' Bakuras. One good, the host body, and the other the cruel spirit inside of this ring. So now I find that here I am, the cruel spirit, the one Malik had hated so much..." He trailed off slightly, hardly aware of how much he was saying.
