Tracy went back to get a few things, and about 25 minutes later, Sabe was somewhere in the hospital wing of the castle getting his leg worked on. Waffle was still in HQ up in her room, not worrying about a thing anymore.

Pen nodded at Nari. "Yeah, strange that I came from such a quiet little town?" For once during the whole trip a hint of the elf's tired smile came back and then disappeared. She wasn't aware what time frame they were in but it was a mid-summer day and the smell of fresh wheat was playing on the wind. It was intoxicating to be home again but at the same time old wounds were slowly being ripped apart. The death of her parents, the exile the townspeople but her through, and the betrayal of Riche; all of which happened here. She intended to never come back but it seemed fate had other plans.
"Alright bro," she sighed, "my old place isn't too far from here, so we can start there." Looking down at the cylinder in her lap she was surprised at the date. "Can't tell you when we are cause I doubt I was born yet. This was the year I was born but I won't be born until Autumn."

(@ Styk: I don't know if I should post MOAR FILLERZ!!!1!1 or if I can skip to the goodies by now.)
After his leg was wrapped up and put in a plaster cast, Sabe was brought back to HQ. Tracy carried some thick books, knitting and embroidery kits, and a few projects among other things in a big canvas bag. Waffle looked up again, bothered that her 'me time' was interrupted....again.
"Why are you two back so quickly?" she whined. "The cast didn't take very long to put on. Not less than a week ago, some ingenious chemists from the third sector found a more efficient substitute for the old gypsum powder," Sabe said, almost with enthusiasm. From his side of the bed, he turned his head to Tracy and asked her for a copy of the national newsletter to give to Waffle.
"I don't wanna read news articles, Sabe. I only asked a question," Waffle said, giving it back to him without a second thought. A look of disappointment crept onto his face as he got further under the bed covers. He re-folded the newsletter neatly and looked for the crossword puzzle as Waffle left the room to check on Ari and Raph, as she didn't take them too seriously.
When Waffle was out, Sabe motioned for Tracy to get up on the bed with him.
"Did you bring that crossword book with you?" he asked, his mouth rebounding to a faint smile. Tracy nodded back with the same smile. "How about a wager? I bet I can finish two puzzles in that book before you can finish the one in this week's paper." She thought about it for a while. "How about you do....ten?" she suggested, her face turning from a pale cream color to bright pink. "Mmmm....now don't underestimate yourself. I'll do five from the last quarter of the book," Sabe stated, handing her the folded newsletter and a pencil from his nightstand and taking the crossword book. "Um....yeah, that works. I wanted to work on my project later anyway. I'm stitching in this pretty floral pattern into a handkerchief for someone." They counted to three, then their little contest began.

( @ Jay: Whatever you want, it's fine. )
Luciano nodded in response to Pen, "We'll go there first. You can lead the way." Luciano started walking, and Michelle soon followed suit. She gently took his hand into hers, and though he didn't look at her she could feel him squeeze tightly; Something he did so he wouldn't cry again.
Meanwhile,
Ari and Raph hadn't left the house whatsoever. Horatio and Laura were still there too, Ari and Horatio were still puzzled as to what was going on. Neither of them could explain Laura's existance, and as happy as they were to see her again,. . . something indeed was very wrong.

Koji was glad to finally be away from all the emotional turmoil. Sure, it wasn't home, but at least it was quiet and peaceful in comparison to their last few time warps. He silently followed along as the group started moving again and waited for further orders.

Luciano looked around; The town was pretty quiet, and there was a gentle breeze in the air. "In my experience, this much quiet isn't good. . ." Luciano looked over at Pen, "I don't know how you've managed to live here for so long. I would've gone insane."

'This place is so peaceful-looking. Perhaps we'll get a chance to recuperate here until we figure out how to get home,' Nari thought with a slight hint of relief. She was a bit worn out, so she walked behind the others silently.

Pen gave a small chuckle and also took in the scenery of her old home. It had been the first time since leaving the small town that she been here. The way she left was enough to pain her for months later in the underbelly of Durem, trying to scrape a living. Even in a small town like this, if you were different, you were not welcome. Regardless the warmth of your parents had given to the world. How could this warm wind and aroma of wheat not embrace her as one of the community? It still boggled her to this very day.
"You get use to it. There was a lot to do anyway. Planting, harvesting, selling, there is always something to do." She seemed a little pained with old memories. Her parents would be here in this time. Though they wouldn't recognize her it would be nice seeing them as the people they were before illness and age took them from this place.
Jade followed in the back somewhat amazed at the serenity that encompassed the place. He was aware that she came from a rural environment but this was certainly a different mood than what Pen had. How could such a place make someone like that little loose cannon?
Catching up he saw her smile at the group and saw it instantly. In that soft yet worn out smile was this town in all of its peace.
He wished she would stay smiling like that.
They could see the small house on the hill but Pen was stopped in her tracks. Motioning the rest of the group to quiet down and come to a halt she guided them to the woods nearby. Moving through the cover of foliage and ancient trees, Pen was now able to see three figures that not of her adopted parents. One was a tall well dressed man with white tinted, green hair, standing next to him was two women of average height, one with white silver hair and the other with dark blue hair similar to her own; they all stood outside of the door. A small faint cry was let out and now the woman with the dark blue hair turned around to rock the bundle in her arms back to sleep.
"What is going on?" Pen murmured.

'Did I just hear a baby? No...probably not. And who are those people...?' Nari asked herself curiously. 'Maybe be someone Pen knows is up ahead if Pen had to stop like this. Hm.'

Luciano took a look at what was going on; From the looks of it, Pen had no idea who those people were. So he prepared to draw his weapon, "Should we be prepared for another fire fight?" He asked Pen.

Pen didn't look back at Luciano but instead watched the strangers. They seemed to be close bunch and by the way they waited for the inhabitants of the house, it didn't look like they were arrgessive. Though looking at the silver hair elf and the green hair elf, they certainly gave off a combat experienced feel. The other elf, holding the bundle and singing sweetly to it so it would hush its crying, didn't give off the same feel. Her's were warm and understanding.
"I don't understand why you are so stubborn, Saphear (Sa-FEAR). With such chaos going around, to leave the safety of the Republic to visit friends? I say your more daft than I thought." The silver lady said looking away at the dark blue haired woman.
"Well I think she gets her stubbornness from you, Gracie dear." The man gave a hearty chuckle as he played mediator.
"Hush Aiden. If her bull-headedness comes from anyone, its from you." Gracie retorted.
Finally the blue headed woman spoke. "Shhh. You'll wake her up again." Gracie wasn't pleased gave a look that would chill anyone to their core.
"Mom, I know this is risky but I promised them that they would get to see her." Gracie still didn't see to be moved." Dad, can you please help?" Saphear looked for the support of her father.
"You know she means well dear. She is only worried about you and the baby." Before Saphear could respond the door opened with cheers of welcome.
"I don't think so Boss-Bro. I don't think they are here to hurt anyone." Pen said as she sat on her haunches still looking utterly confused.

Luciano looked on at the scene, he then began to wonder who the baby was. He had never, ever seen pictures of Pen when she was younger- He hasn't even met her foster parents. Michelle looked on as well, but looking more at the man and woman; Something about them seemed a little familiar, and she looked at Pen. Luciano looked over at Pen after she spoke, then he replied, "What makes you so sure?"

"Well, ma and pa welcomed them in; they have a kid with them and well... its more of an odd feeling." Pen looked strained and confused, trying her best to understand what was happening. The group that now walked in the house seemed familiar. She didn't recognize them but something... a feeling... an understanding that these were not bad people.
"Lets just get some supplies and chill. This might be a chance to get some R&R before the device goes wacky."

Luciano then said to the group, "Find some supplies, Guys. Then we'll find some place to relax." Luciano didn't exactly know where to go, so he waited for Pen to lead them somewhere. Anywhere. While Luciano walked, Michelle walked along side of him. She noticed that blood was seeping through his bandages, "So, how's your shoulder?" She asked. Luciano didn't look at her, instead he kept walking while he replied back, "It's fine." Luciano hated lying; The pain was excruciating. He had been shot multiple times in his life, but just because that was so it didn't mean that it hurt less. It's not something you easily get used to. And now that he was thinking about his shoulder it started to hurt a little more.

Waffle poked her head over the balcony, watching what was going on. Somehow, more people were around, including someone that she never saw before. She raised and eyebrow and watched for a while before going back in the bedroom to see Tracy and Sabe with a ton of crossword puzzles littered around the bed.
"Weren't you going to make dinner or something, Sabe?" she asked. Sabe was shocked to hear that she really wanted him to get off that bed despite a broken leg, go down a long flight of stairs and cook dinner, praying the entire time that he wouldn't fall.
"But his leg is br-" "Nobody asked you." Tracy immediately quit talking and looked at Sabe, who was already up from the bed and haphazardly trying to walk out of the door. She sighed.
