As I always say, if I even see an inkling of the draft being re-instated, I'm going to Canda.
Montreal seems like a nice place to live. 3nodding

And what if the Draft was reinstated for a solid reason and not just to reinforce American Superiority in 3rd world nations?

Lucky for me if a draft is reinstated, I'm not forced to join.
The joys of being the last male heir to the family. Although honestly, if they were to reinstate the draft, I'd rather work as the combat doc instead of getting shoved with a gun. I actually have some useful skills that don't involve getting shot at.

Because you're a coward. Right. Almost forgot that.

Cale Darksun Because you're a coward. Right. Almost forgot that. No reason to egg him on Cale. Just let the kid be. He'll find a sense of honor someday.

I'm not someone who willingly throws their life away for something like that. Has nothing to do with honor.
I sacrifice only for one whom I love, and my life-sake is theirs.
If I'm a coward for that, then so be it.

A draft isn't "willing". that's the point /of/ the draft. You don't "willingly" go to war with the draft, you do so because you don't want your loved ones to go in your place.
Willingly throwing your life away is when the draft goes on, and you go to the recruiter and say "Make me into mobile infantry".
It's like when your wife tells you to save her and you go, "I don't want to, thanks for the good time though."

Exactly, so I willingly leave the country when I see such a thing coming on the horizon. I dislike war. I dislike guns. And I dislike killing.
This isn't short-sightedness, nor is it cowardice. Its a personal stance, And I will stand it until I die.

True.
Although, if you're advocating being a pacifist, you shouldn't turn around and say that you'll die for someone you love. Because you're already stating you're willing to fight. You just need to have a more selfish reason to. Selfish meaning something more important to you personally, rather than to others as a whole. Not the connotative meaning, the demonstrative meaning.
I'm sure that this debate can continue on, and you'll probably attempt to justify your statements until you get the last word, which is why I'm going to shut up now. If any troubles arise, well, I think we all know where this spiel is going to go. And I'm not in any mood to try to navigate between how worthless dying for ideas are, be it for one's own personal romantic playtoy or patriotism.

Nelo, shut up and take your own advice.
Infact, sew your lips closed and chop off your fingers.
