GreenTigerr Only techniques that specifically say the moon or moonlight is needed ... If you hadn't noticed, nearly all if not all of the Moon jutsus as well as most of the Orimara main branch jutsus say that they use moonlight. They don't say it is necessary for them to work, but they do say that they use it.

Yuan- hey there, sorry i took so long, i was a bit busy today so i couldnt get on right away. but ive posted for you so have fun!
also the chuunin exams will be set in a twilight and night theme other then one section which i may cut out.

There is one eclipse jutsu that makes moonlight during the day, but it says that it only lasts a couple minutes... stare

Hey! Thanks! And thanks for the info. I'm having a little bit of a breakdown cause I just found out that 90% of my jutsu will likely be useless 75% of the time... stare ... But I am going to find something to eat real quick and then I'll post.

Yuan, please do not assume things like that. You do NOT need moonlight to do most of the Orimara techniques. It's just in the description of the clan. Do not assume things that you do not know.
And even if you did, it's very easy to Cast a jutsu, and recast it again, or cast it to hold it there. And if it lasts a couple of minutes, every fight is pretty much a couple of minutes.

As I said above, the eclipse jutsu only lasts for a "couple of minutes" which will be translated by enemies as 2-3 minutes, which is nowhere near enough time to fight a battle. And no one but kages can be expected to be able to constantly cast that same jutsu over and over again. Couldn't yall extend the time on that jutsu? You could make it like the Water jutsus that bring water onto the battlefield where there is none or very little. The water usually hangs around for a bit, so the moonlight could too!

the first section is meant to determine sneaking skills, combat is optional.

I asked whether it was necessary, and GT told me that if they said that they needed it then it was, and practically all of them say that they use it, so that was where I was getting worried.

Yuan, do not tell Mods what to do. I'm not angry with you, I'm just trying to help you out. And Yes, the water sticks around.. if you you it constantly. If you let it sit there, it will get soaked into the ground. Please do not confuse Clan techniques with the summoning of water. To use a water Jutsu, all you need to do is be near water. So, Yuan. As myself and Tigerr have said before, nearly all of the Orimara clan jutsu DO NOT NEED Moonlight to operate. Trust me on this my friend. do not assume you are totally screwed because you apparently need the moonlight. The most the moonlight does for a Orimara clan member is buff them up, that's about it. More than 80% of the time, Orimara clan members cast Doujutsu. EDIT: Yes, Tigerr did say that. If the description says "will need moonlight" or something to that effect, then it is undoubtedly needed. Otherwise, like I just said. 80% of the time Orimara clan members use Doujutsu.

GreenTigerr Just use a made up slot to make moonlight or something Exactly. Simple solutions for simple.. yet seemingly convoluted problems. There ya have it. Just don't mimic that Shadow of the Moon Move. Make it a Genjutsu or something.
