"That's true I can."

A smirk and a shake of his head.

"Even if I wanted her to b***h at him, he wouldn't understand the shadow language I would guess. So I'm stuck. however, a little fun never hurt anything. tell me, little runer..anything in that repitiore of knowledge that woudl make things a little more..heated between those two out there?"

hey, what better way to torment Sevilin?

"And as long as you know the risks, and can abide by using it safely, then it's alright. but safety first. someone sees you with even a nosebleed from playing with that and I'm taking it away from you."

Onyx was still sitting on that boat, and watching. though it still bothered him somewhat that she hadn't answered him from before.

"Whirlwind...why is you think you have no use? you didn't answer before."

Damn elves. more than once already he wanted to fling one overboard..since they seemed to love pushing and shoving past and about him, but never wanting to actual have him help. like having his hands on the same equipment they were using was somehow an insult. Snort at that. he'd give them an insult..see how they liekd being spineless as an insult..

Little runer? Normally she'd get a kick out of that but Sevilin's calling her a 'little elf' made it not so nice to hear anymore. Damn him, he was ruining things like this for her now! So the tiniest bit of a frown before she shrugged lightly. "Well I do know some that would...but it wouldn't be safe for me to play with them really. My safety or your entertainment?" But a little nod to him them. Though a fond look to him at his show of concern. He was serious about this wasn't he? That got him a hug and a nuzzle. "I know how far I can go, believe me. Runes only take revenge when you push too hard, or so mother says."

Oh that just about did it. Calling her his mother was an insult to the highest degree since it was well known most drow committed matricide if they were able to. Patricide wasn't nearly as common since their mother's often took care of that for them. She stiffened as soon as the words left his mouth, even in jest he had meant them to be insulting and the full sting settled in rather quickly like a blow to the skin, it smarted. And once again the b*****d had found a way to keep their skin from brushing too much and she was floating in the air. It went through her mind that he might drop her, he hated her after all, and it would be a rather nice end to her objections and unseemly behavior and he might even get out of lessons for a while, especially if she cracked her head open. But the thought left as quickly as it came since he didn't seem the type to do that. Sure enough she was plopped rather hard in the chair and her shoulders used to keep her butt there. Resentment came quick at the fact that he could immobilize her with a bit of pressure but that left at the sight of his large arms and the obvious strength they contained. Why was she so attracted to his strength when in her society women sought to beat their strength out of them, whip it away from them and prove they were weak? Maybe because it was different and intriguing and much like a child she was curious. Old drow trick, instead of being openly evasive, answer a question with a question. Her arms moved and her hands reached up to rest against his arms, one on cloth and one on warm skin, feeling the mold of his musculature beneath her palms. "How badly do you want me..." deliberate pause, deep breath, "To stay put?" She would have loved not to have added those last three words but it wouldn't have been playing roulette with his response and right now she liked all her fingers right where they were.

"Well..your safety before my entertainment..however..this woudl be an quite intersting way to get even, wouldn't it with all the smartass problems he's been giving you. So if you're wanting to. I'll let you play with fire just this one time."

but he hugged ehr back and petted over her and smield a bit, lifting her head up to him.

"Just don't push too hard. I don't want to be runnign to a cleric or a healer becuase you collapse due to massive bloodloss form it pouring out of you like a faucet."

Why oh why did that statement sway his thoughts like they did? It was odd, one sentence that before if asked to him was a dreaded thing. Yes or no response, it didn't matter, you still got cracked across the face with something. And for a moment he regretted and yet didn't at the same time, leaving her arms free to move them as she thus was, soft hands resting on both sleeve and skin.

That question made him swallow an answer that wanted to come up and he wouldn't like it. But he decided to push back where she didn't, squeezing her shoulder's lightly in almost a soothing manner. "Very badly." He wanted to touch her....for whatever reason, though that scared the hell out of him. He needed to just let her win and put up with her attitude.

She smiled up at him with a little laugh before pushing up on her toes and kissing him, lingering a moment before dropping back down off her toes. "Don't worry, you know I like to keep my blood inside my body." Another casual tug at her sleeves, before smiling up to him once more as she grabbed a book off the counter and flipped pages. Eventually she turned the book to him to show a heart that was encircled by a flaming crown. "Passion rune." Said with a little smile over the book at him at the same time. "So there is one, it's just not in the beginner's list of things. You do corrupt me so."

His answer, mixed with squeeze as gentle as it was had a profound effect on her body. Liquid flame coursed through her veins and she caught her breath. She knew he was answering the question as a whole but for just a moment she pretended he was answering just the first part, telling her what she wanted to hear, a prelude to a passionate embrace and more fanning of flame. Of course that was all in her mind and any steps she took toward that area would only get her smacked down and put back in her place. Playing mind games, roulette indeed. She decided for one more pass of the blade, so far her fingers were still intact. "Then go for it," she said softly, taking a deep breath and curling her fingers so her nails scraped against his arms lightly abrading both the soft surface of his tunic and the firm but warm skin. "I'm not really in a position to stop you, now am I?"

That got the most wicked little devilish grin on his face. a Passion rune. oh the fun he coudl have with that one. the mirad devilish tormenting politcal upheavals you could do with just that one little rune.

"Then lets put your skill to a test, shall we? and you can get a little revenge on the oh so high and mighty master rune mage sitting out there. all it has to do is get him to give her one kiss, one fondle..and she'll snap like a taunt rubberband. then it'll be like watching a lioness chaze down a gazelle."

He thought he heard his breath almost catch as her nails took to scraping against his arms. Again, puzzlement for the drow as actions and sensations that were before so dreaded and he would go to lengths to try to avoid at all costs...had a sort of pleasing affect on him. She was making actions of harm...yet not hurting. A total alien concept to Sevilin. And why oh why were those words of confirmation so alluring?

But he shook his head lightly as he looked down upon her, needless to say getting a bit of a view which he quickly averted his eyes from and one hand held to her shoulder, the other slipped lower till the tips of his fingers pressed to her breast bone. Fingers took to gently drawing a pattern, a little heat and tingle with the tracing. "You shouldn't call bluffs." Yes, he was runing her to her chair.

That book snapped shut and she held to with crossed arms against her chest, giving him a grin of equal wickedness, but for much different reasons. In fact she gave a little scoff to him before a chuckle, closing her eyes and turning her head from him. "What makes you think I'm going to help you in this little plan of yours, hm? After all, there's nothing in it for me but annoyance and betraying my friend, now is there?" What? He expected her to play his game oh so easily on his whim? Piper thought differently on that.

"Oh but there is something in it for you."

that purring, seductive, alluring little bedroom voice, walking aroudn her running his hands down her shoudlers and over her arms.

"You get to see Sevilin squirm like a worm on a hook. and, you get to give Zahara a first hand account of real passion. and, if things get out of hand, I'll take the full blame, so she can be furious with me. and on top of that, you get to best that drow you hate at his own game. and woudln't you just love to see him under Zahara's control, if even for a little bit?"

breath up agasint her ear, hands sliding down about her waist.

"and not to mention putting SEvilin down a peg or two will get you in more favor with Nightmare, and more leeway when dealing with things you may wish to teach her foals."

Drawn to him, watching the moves he made, her eyes watched his lips form the words though she didn't comprehend at first. Her hands tightened on his arms, palms flattened once again, but nails still digging in, though not enough to hurt. She watched him even as lost in the fog like she was, the consequences of her flippant double-sided answers were taking place. She only felt his fingers resting there for a moment before they began to move and she caught her breath on a gasp as a warm tingle lit and spread, seeming to reach all parts of her body at once. She wanted to pull him down to her, to lose herself in his strength and let the world go for just a moment. She wanted to stand up and run her fingers over his skin, his bare skin. She did give into that urge by making a petting motion with her hand on his left arm. "There's a lot of things I shouldn't do but it's never stopped me before." A small pause and she smiled, "There's a time to be wise and a time to be wicked..."

Her eyes opened at that bedroom voice she was so used to and oh so fond of. Uh oh. Though she didn't look at him, even as he stepped around her and laid hands to her body in the gentle gestures of a lover. Show some restraint woman...don't start acting like a sexually frustrated virgin and giving into the first electrifying touch you get. She had gone through that stage once in her life already. And damn him and his valid points...what better way to prove her earlier argument to Zahara than to make her experience it first hand...but still..she was the only friend down here that she was remotely close in age to. And making Sevilin upset was quickly becoming a fun pasttime. Though she leaned forward a little on her feet to put the slightest distance to keep thier bodies from touching, even as his breath and hands took vengence on her. Damn him. "He'd know before it could take affect...he's just deactivate it." Yup, that was her only argument she had. Damn. BUt she only clutched at that book a little more tightly, though mindful of her sleeves.

She was petting him...perhaps that was where his senses came back some, Sevilin finding nothing pleasing in the action at all, even the feel of her skin against his own was overshadowed by the connotation of the action. Petting was for pets and those under your boot. Sevilin was neither her pet or under her boot.

"Thus why you're always in need of saving..." Said as he pulled his fingers from her as that rune was acitvated, more or less gluing her where she sat in her chair. His other hand was also taken back and he moved from behind her chair, walking back down the length of the table to his own and sitting down where he usually did. "Now that you won't be going anywhere, I do believe you have studies to attend to.

Thus Sevilin took to his own reading...though he was staring at the pages. Get a hold of yourself Sevilin...you're not wanting these feeling for her...its all a trick. She just wants to get past your defenses. But you want her there don't you? Absurd...you're letting yourself be foolish, and fools die or live on thier knees at the feet of others. Yes, he was disturbed at how he wanted her, everything about her and every part of her. And he knew why too. Not only was Malik against him in this, but she had to be so damn different, so damn 'good' drow almost.

A slight chuckle.

"Trust me. right now, he probably won't even notice. He has more than enough on his mind."

but he walked back over to her, and gave her a kiss on her neck, and lightly trailing the tip of his tongue up and over the edge of her ear, caressing his hand over her thighs and up to her waist.

"But, it's your choice..I don't haev the power to do this little thing...nor can I force you to."

oh but it was fun to play with her sensual body just for fun while making a case to her for why she should do something.

Things changed rather abruptly, but then things usually did when it came to her and Sevilin. One moment he was watching her with a strange look on his face and the next he was pissed about Lloth only knew what. Seemed they were once again at an impasse and now he was back to all business, the time for innuendos and double meanings gone. The fog disappeared as quickly as it had come and she glanced at her book resting in the middle of the table where Sevilin must have put it. She pushed her feet to the floor to push herself up and blinked when her body didn't obey her command. Okay, maybe you're being slow, let's try this again. Stand up...what the hell? And then it hit her, the warm fuzzy feeling that had spread through her...as well as his words. He'd runed her to her chair just like he told her he had. While she'd been lost in a completely different universe he'd played her like a fool and she'd fallen right into his hands, which usually wouldn't be a horribly place to be except in present circumstances. Her arms reached for the book but they just weren't long enough and she wasn't about to strain herself and give Sev more fodder for entertainment. She needed her book though and she obviously couldn't get to it. So she leaned one elbow on the table and rested her cheek on it, "Do we have to do book study again?"
PostPosted: Sun Apr 16, 2006 10:48 pm

When the mind fog, things that aren't meant to be said, are. "He already caught me runing once today, he's wise to me now...not to mention I'd have to put my hands on him." But no, Piper was too busy listening to the voice in her head that told her to indulge herself at Malik's affections. Those oh so wonderful feelings that made her eyes half close as the gold flecks that rested in blue and green eyes gave a flicker in pleased fashion. Though wasn't he being a cheeky little b*****d, saying he couldn't force her yet knowing he could full well manipulate her like he was now with clear conscience. Well...he said he would take the blame...but did she honestly want to get her wrist broken if she got caught? "There's only one male I touch, and Sevilin isn't it." She needed to work on her saying no skills...seemed she was quite compliant to just about anyone.

"You coul always rune if you want." Though he knew she couldn't get up and she would need to fetch her runing aid. But his tone wasn't joyus in the fact that he had one uped her at all. More detached and monotone really, as if his mind was far off other than where he was. And he hadn't started a rune yet at his own end of the table, which was out of sorts as well.

She had thrown him for a loop and he didn't like it. Why did she have to play with him? Entice him, only to want to do what every other woman wanted to do with him. He was damned sick of being used and being the plaything, or worse yet the relief mechanism for female drow instincts. It was appauling really to be used and tossed to the next on who needed you.

So why had he runed her to her chair just to piss her off to scream at him? He hadn't...he wanted to put distance between them and didn't want her to close it by following him. Not with fear clawing up his throat and his body attempting to betray his rational sense, which was trying to fail him as well and let him fall victim to her. To want her badly as he did was stange and frightening enough, to give in would only put him back where he'd been for the last years.

She blinked at him for a moment, unsure when their conversation had taken a turn for the worse. What had she done to offend him so? She knew he didn't return what she felt for him and she knew that what she felt was instinct induced but still. He'd been so close to her and they were having a moment and then she'd had to go and ruin it all...probably with that reference to being wicked. Dammit all to Lloth's hell and back again. And then his tone had turned detached, cold, unfeeling. He knew she couldn't get her runing aid but he'd told her to rune. Therefore, she pulled out that dagger and made two slices on her wrist tracing a symbol onto her arm and then her palm just like she'd before. The shielding rune was put everywhere it needed to be and then she activated it using her own essence. He wanted to be an a**, fine, she'd let him. She wasn't doing anything wrong, considering he was supervising and he knew damn well she couldn't get her book or her runing aid but she'd get yelled at if she didn't study. Therefore, option three...dear Lloth she was just like him. Of course her time could have been spent trying to figure out the complex male across from her but that would have been far too much time wasted on a useless endeavor as she'd never fully figure him out.
