Despite her best efforts, Hannah wasn't able to save Layton from being hit by a Bludger, and she realized if she didn't try something offensive-minded, Slytherin would win the match. As she flew around, she soon spotted another of the enchanted iron balls flying around, and tried to give it an almighty whack, and direct it toward Evander, in hopes of lousing up his efforts at catching the Snitch.
