Standing there, he felt embarrassed but he had no reason to refuse. Even if he did, he still would have taken his offer. By refusing, it would likely only give Micha more reason to tease him later. As Samuel agreed, he watched as Micha smiled and slipped out his chair to come around the counter. Stepping aside, he took some amusement out of how at home Micha seemed to be in his kitchen. Without even needing to ask him, he was able to find everything he needed. It wasn't long before Micha had everything that was needed and was turning on the stove.
Samuel stood off to the side, watching the male go about prepping the pan and moving about the kitchen. It all seemed easy enough, like something he might have been able to have figured out on his own if he'd tried. However, he found that he liked watching much more than actually doing. Plus, it was probably safer to allow Micha to take control. Samuel knew that eventually he would have to crack down and learn how to cook more than just boiled water and scrambled eggs. Especially if they were going to live together. Micha might take pity on him now, but after a few years he would probably get tired of cooking all the time.
Beside him the male passed him once more to take his omelet out of the box. Samuel watched curiously as Micha carefully scooped it out and set into the pan. He didn't think there was much else needed of him, just his appetite and patience. "Anything I can do while you cook?" he asked curiously.

In the time they were apart, the kitchen was one of the few rooms Samuel had not bothered to rearrange. Mostly out of laziness. The idea of switching out all the cabinets and reorganizing the pantry just sounded like more work than it was worth. Watching Micha now, he was glad that he didn't bother rearranging. If he had, he wasn't sure if he would be nearly so helpful. All the same, Samuel was glad that Micha was willing to cook for him. He enjoyed his food and spending time with him in the kitchen.
Standing off to the side Samuel worried that he might be hovering a bit too much. He wanted something to do and not be in the way. As he questioned Micha, he watched as he smiled and glanced his way before answer. "Sure, I can do that." he replied, smiling back at him. "Is there anything in particular you want to drink?" he asked. Eating in the dining room was a bit rare for them, he could probably count on one hand just how many times they gone in there. He didn't care how large the table was or that it was only the two of them. It would make for a nice change of scenery.

Samuel liked the idea of being able to make more meals together. Most days, he didn't mind going out to eat or ordering them some take-out, but he also couldn't argue that home meals were sometimes better. Samuel wasn't sure how much help he might be, perhaps he would be able to learn a thing or two from Micha. Or better yet, they could try out some new recipes together. He too wouldn't mind doing more domestic things with Micha. It made sense seeing as they were already talking about living together and sharing their lives.
Standing beside the male he couldn't help wanting to have something to do. Upon asking, he was soon given a task. He knew that there wasn't much he could do in the way of cooking, so he didn't mind helping out elsewhere. Asking about drinks, Samuel nodded as the male soon replied. "On it." he said, leaning over to kiss Micha's cheek. Pulling away, Samuel moved across the kitchen to grab their mugs from earlier. He saw no reason to dirty up another pair. Coming back around the counter, he set one mug beneath the spout, and replaced the pod in the machine. While the coffee brewed, he took Micha's mug and moved towards the fridge. "What all did you have in your coffee?" he asked, reaching for the door.

With a task given to him, Samuel set right to it, but not without showing a bit of affection first. As he left Micha to continue to prepare his food, Samuel gathered their mugs from earlier, and started making his coffee. While that was going, he then stepped over to the refrigerator to get the items needed for Micha own coffee. However, he wasn’t entirely sure what he put in it or how much he preferred. To him, it seemed like an ungodly amount. Though anything that wasn’t his usual black coffee, was too much in his unwanted opinion. Pulling back the door, Samuel didn’t have much in the way of variety, just what he kept in stock for his family. Wanting to be sure of what he was putting in his drink, he glanced over at Micha as he asked him. It wasn’t long before he was given an answer and nodded his head. ”Half a bottle of creamer and tablespoon of sugar.” He repeated. Reaching into the fridge Samuel took out the creamer and poured a small splash into the mug. ”How’s that?” he asked, tilting the mug towards Micha.

Samuel was hardly bothered by Micha’s coffee preference. Not everyone liked plain coffee the way he did, nor did he expect them to. Due to his own preference though he was a little unsure of what constituted as being too much. While Micha continued to warm up his food, Samuel playfully repeated the words back to him. Reaching into the fridge, he pulled out the bottle of creamer and held the mug out for inspection. He was unsure if that was too much or too little. If anything, the coffee in the mug was just slightly paler than before, so there was at least that.
As he questioned Micha again, he watched as he soon took the mug from his hand and brought it to his lips. Samuel watched him take a small sip, before smiling. He couldn’t help to smile back as he was thanked. ”You’re welcome.” He then replied. Standing there, his own coffee continued to brew. While he waited on that, Samuel made sure to stay out of the way. He thought to set the table but there wasn’t really much to set, not yet anyway. The dishes were currently being used as Micha prepared the food, and he seemed content enough with his drink to keep it close by. The only thing left to set would be the silverware. He supposed he could dress it up a little with some of the cloth napkins his mother insisted that he keep stocked in the hutch.

Samuel had meant to set the table, but had busied himself with questions and coffee that he just never got around to it. Not only that, he couldn't exactly take the plates away as Micha had been using them. Waiting for his own coffee to finish, he stood aside while the male continued making their meals. It didn't take very long before the microwave cycled off and the steaming cakes were removed. Samuel had to admit, they smelt rather good. He was tempted to ask for a bite later, but would wait until they were sitting down and well into the meal.
Behind him, his own coffee soon finished and Samuel carefully removed his steaming mug. He heard rustling at the counter and turned to see Micha pulling out the small containers with syrup. Removing the lid, he then drowned the stack to his liking and throwing away the empty container. Samuel smiled as Micha then declared that breakfast was ready. "Lead the way." he said, motioning forward. Picking up his own plate and cutlery, he followed the male out of the kitchen. Moving down the hallway, they made their way into the dining room.
Samuel flipped on the lights and was not surprised to see everything exactly as he left it. A white cotton runner stretched across the middle of the table and was decorated with seasonal flowers and tall candles sitting on brass candlesticks. Setting his things down first, Samuel then moved towards the hutch in the corner of the room. Pulling back the top right drawer, he pulled out two cloth napkins. Samuel hardly cared that his mother preferred they be used for a more special occasion. But she wasn't here and he saw no reason not to make use of them. Closing the drawer once more, Samuel returned to the table and handed a cloth to Micha. "Is there anything else you would like before I sit down?" he asked.

Although it was not much, Samuel was glad that he was able to help in some way. He was sure that Micha appreciated it as well since it would be one less thing that he had to do for them. With their food ready, they soon exited the kitchen and made their way down into the dining room. As he turned on the lights, he saw the way Micha looked around, noting the decorations and the overlooked hutch. Not much had changed since the last time they dined in here with his brothers. While the male moved around the table, Samuel went to grab them some napkins. He hardly cared if they were too fancy for their simple breakfast. They could easily be cleaned and put back in the drawer before anyone found it they were even used.
Coming back to the table, Samuel held out in offering to Micha, he nodded as he was thanked, and continued to ask him if he wanted anything else. Samuel didn't mind running to get it for him while he was still standing, it was the least he could do since he wasn't all that helpful earlier. When Micha spoke again, thanking him, Samuel nodded and took his seat at the table. Taking his napkin Samuel folded it in his lap and scooted his chair a bit closer to the table. Once he was comfortable he then picked up his fork, and cut into his omelet. Since it was Micha who had done the cooking for them, he wasn't nearly as worried about the taste or texture. It seemed far more edible than anything Samuel would have concocted.
Raising his fork to his mouth, he took a bite and was quite pleased with the outcome. No rubbery texture, no weird flavor, just exactly what he wanted. Glancing across the table he watched a moment while Micha continue eating his own pancakes. "Good?" he asked after swallowing. Reaching towards his mug, Samuel carefully lifted it by the handle, and brought the steaming cup to his lips. He blew on it softly as he then took a sip.
