(( Psssst, I said LT "Will exit with Zdura upon Hinotes post completion." so he would just being going with you whenever you got down here.))

???
Is that to say I shouldn't have exited yet, or that I should post at the gates? Or? I'd rather not extend leaving the building into a multiple post ordeal... I did say that he was following LT.

Sorry for the confusion mate, I left it up to you that when you were done with your post that LT would go with Zdura (like they are walking together in your post) and exit the office and appear at the gates.

Well, that pretty much is what I did. I just had him follow LT out, so you just need to post at the gates now.

Posts like these only assure that your application will stay there longer, unjudged. You've had it up for a day, demanding that we judge it is simply bugging the crew. We operate on our time, not yours. I understand that your application has since been approved, but if you think of applying for anything else, do not make a post like this demanding it be judged, especially after only one day.

One problem.

I said I need someone to approve it. Nowhere in my post did I demand that any of the crew look at and approve my application. Now that we've established that I cannot make demands of the crew the learning can begin and stuff.

But you guys could stop living your life and start pandering to me. I mean, that'd be kinda cool to have the entire crew pander to me. Actually, that'd be really cool.

Pander? I'm unaware of a word known as Pander in the english language...

you might not have directly said it, but you are basically telling the crew to look at your application. You're requesting assistance, which while not demanding, is quite annoying when done nearly every hour. Greg is testier than most of the crew, but he's a senior member compared to all but Luo. ( As far as I know. ) so he's had to deal with stuff like this for a couple of years. He'd naturally be quick to snap, I remember i gve him loads of crap whenever I was a beginner too. ( Mostly about my profile ) but now that he's told me it is annoying enough times, I atleast have the courtesy to wait a day or two, take notice ofwhen they are online and not, and if they log on often, in a day or two I'll shoot them a Pm about approving something that's been waiting for a while. I'm not saying Greg was right to say you were demanding, but he is right to say that you're beginning to grate some nerves. and when you post multiple times complaining about the crew not approving something, they tend to ignore most of your posts. ( I'm living proof, I used to be ignored every time I posted in the chatroom when I first started. xD Now I'm only partially ignored. )

You have been made aware.

Yourdictionary.com
A pander is someone who provides what is required to meet the ambitions or vices of another. (noun)
An example of a pander is a scam artist.

To pander is to provide what is necessary by others due to their low level of taste or their weaknesses. (verb)
An example of to pander is for someone to lower their standards and agree to perform illegal acts.

I have been made aware. You might want to get a new dictionary, or I could look up a different dictionary. A pander seems VERY negative, and insulting to the crew now that I see the meaning. It also wouldn't apply to the crew as a verb, seeing as they'd have to preform an illegal act, which is fairly hard if it is their job within the guild to approve things. Now if someone were to approve something not under their jurisdiction, then I could see the word Pander being used.

I was joking, but I think you may actually need glasses.

One would think that immoral: adjective
1.
violating moral principles; not conforming to the patterns of conduct usually accepted or established as consistent with principles of personal and social ethics.
2.
licentious or lascivious.

Immoral meaning something negative. So maybe you should understand words before you use them.

Also. I DECLARE DICTIONARY FIIIIIIIGHT.

Dictionary fight you say? Tosatsu the living dictionary to the rescue!

To pander is to, as stated in the first dictionary post, lend aid to someone's desires. A mother panders to her spoiled child. The child is spoiled because they have been pandered to.

Pandering to someone basically means that what they want, you get it for them. It is not inherently a negative thing, though it can, and often does, have negative implications or results.

[Edit: Also note that anything within brackets in a dictionary is not inherently part of the description, but instead possible examples of the word in action. The base meaning of the word is "To indulge"]

Also, Tim, you need a new dictionary, cause those examples are terrible.

With that said, enough fighting over whether he should or should not have made that post. We all know Greg is edgy about people seeming to want attention on their applications quickly. That's no reason to start a debate. Me, I just saw it as him being impatient and making a post referencing it, something very common, which even I have done at times. (Mostly when I do it it's referring to someone not posting in the RP so I can reply, but it's the same principle.)

If you think I am going to be mad at you, the last thing you want to do is make a post about it in an open forum where I can see it, telling me that there is something I need to look for that you wrote that will make me mad.

Better to get it out in the open and over with. Hiding ins't going to really help me all that much. Would probably make things worse.
